Weโ€™ve stuck predominantly to on side ๐Ÿซฃ especially as I have a low lying so it says more risky to bleed to do it in deeper position thatโ€™s also tmi!
but I do think itโ€™s mostly just irritation as it seems commonโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป
I also get a very hard and tight tummy almost like baby goes rock hard when Iโ€™m in other positions ๐Ÿ˜ซ so trial and error at this stage haha!

Cinai · 01/06/2024 21:31

Oh yes, sex is getting more tricky/worrisome. We struggled yesterday for the first time due to bump being in the way and us worrying and being distracted because we didnโ€™t want to do anything that causes a bleeding or cramping.

Honeyandsunshine1 · 01/06/2024 21:33

Yeah how is everyone having sex? Weโ€™ve done me on top for the last like, 5 months, which is definitely a favourite of mine but now my bump is so big, Iโ€™m actually finding it difficult ๐Ÿ˜‚

Cinai · 01/06/2024 21:38

I could use some advice on pregnancy-friendly positions ๐Ÿ™ˆ My favourite is DH on top but that somewhat failed yesterday, I think I need to try something different next time ๐Ÿ˜‚

MudandMoet · 01/06/2024 21:41

On my back, legs on his shoulders, my fave position (one of the few that hits to spot for me) I'm sure it'll get difficult as bump gets bigger but still okay with that for now. I have only had a tiny bit of pink when I wipe and that was when I went on top so I don't now (bonus!) the D must really get to the cervix that way by the sounds of it.

SC126 · 01/06/2024 21:45

I was told no sex by the consultant due to low lying placenta. Also any bleeding to go straight in due to the placenta placement. And as I would panic and worry its not worth doing for me. Hubby is on same page though.

Xur · 01/06/2024 21:56

Oh my god ladies look at all these bumps!!!๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿคฉ everyone is looking nice and swell!!

I have not stopped today I think Iโ€™m nesting. I woke up 05:20 AM today and by 8:45 I had already deep cleaned the house. Likeโ€ฆI cleaned the fridge even, from inside and outside. I cleaned the counter doors even on the kitchen section, I was moving small appliances around. Then I went to do my lashes at 09:30, then went to another town to do my nails straight after (Iโ€™m picky about my salons), then went to a range to buy a lot of stuff for organizing papers and stuff around the house, then did grocery shopping, then came home, continued arranging the house. Arranged even my partnerโ€™s office and all of his paperwork, a lot of my stuff aswell and threw a bunch of stuff out, then I decided to prune some indoor plants and change pots, then I made a stir fry and only now Iโ€™m sitting. I donโ€™t know I donโ€™t even feel like I did anything special, only now when I look back I realise I was behaving like I had a petard up my arse.

sex position talk- we do from side and we also have shower sex from behind. I sometimes go on top, but I feel clumsy now with the belly.

by the way I struggled to get out of car today, I went to get some diesel and there was another car at the other pump and he was parked quite distanced from the pump. My car is quite wide so in order not to risk being hit by the other cars door when he opens it I parked quite close to the pump and really struggled to get out of the car. I couldnโ€™t open the door all the way without hitting it against a pillar and my belly was expecting to have the doors open further ๐Ÿคฃ

longingtobe23 · 01/06/2024 22:42

@SC126 nobody told me otherwise so thatโ€™s made me cautious - I see midwife next week and will ask if I should stop too because of low lying ekkk! X

malimoon · 01/06/2024 23:25

@Xur twice now I have struggled getting out of my car in carparks with the next person close beside me - would be able to squeeze into a smallish space normally but bump is making that very challenging and I keep forgetting to allow for that!

HRP1990 · 02/06/2024 06:02

Thanks girls ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ the coke did the trick and I felt movement before bed. Iโ€™ve woken up to abit of brown blood which says itโ€™s old and that should be the end of it!

@MudandMoet there is NO WAY I could get my legs up on his shoulders ๐Ÿ˜‚ my boobs would be in my face, not to mention Iโ€™d be so breathless haha

Perhaps Iโ€™ll stick with side sex from now on!

SC126 · 02/06/2024 06:32

@longingtobe23oh no. Awful if you haven't been told and you should have. I was also told no heavy lifting for same reasons.

MudandMoet · 02/06/2024 07:54

@HRP1990 ๐Ÿ˜‚ it's one of the few times my 34GG's look perky when they're up near my chin ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿซฃ we have been doing it sideways the odd time too but it just doesn't quite cut the mustard for me ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Xur · 02/06/2024 08:26

@MudandMoet btw Iโ€™ve given up the legs on shoulders (itโ€™s my partnerโ€™s favourite position) because I can feel it hitting my cervix so when I got pregnant and learned of the possibilities of irritating the cervix I told him to forget about that position for the foreseeable ๐Ÿคฃ

Yeah @MudandMoet how do you manage this? I feel like the baby is pushed into my throat in this position ๐Ÿคฃ Iโ€™d physically choke

MudandMoet · 02/06/2024 09:11

Maybe I'm just overly flexible girls ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ It's one of the few ways I actually orgasm so it'll be happening while it's still possible that's for sure ๐Ÿคญ

TripleESept24 · 02/06/2024 09:18

If I'm totally honest, I just don't orgasm from sex now!! He's more interested, I'm not really anymore!!

Ha! I got that the other day which was nice.

I am really struggling with stress at the moment. Work is overwhelming, just had a funeral on Thursday, and now my mum has fallen down the stairs and is currently in hospital hooked up to morphine with 8 broken ribs and a badly bruised lung struggling to breathe!!

And I am hundreds of miles away, and it's just me and my partner! I feel so helpless and lonely. It's horrible, I've just been crying non stop this last week and am doing nothing other than lying on the sofa.

I have midwife on Tuesday and going to tell her how I'm feeling. Worries me, baby was crazy active yesterday though, but I was feeling uncomfortable alot too she kept kicking the bladder

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 02/06/2024 12:36

Glad to see you've all got healthy sex lives...unlike myself ๐Ÿคฃ still not done it since we conceived in January. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Still in the depths of HG throwing up though, with 24/7 nausea....might give it a go when I'm 37 weeks and I want the baby out ๐Ÿ˜‚ though with my first born we did it quite alot from 37 weeks and the baby still didn't arrive until 41 weeks sooooo we'll see.

I'm planning go take the raspberry leaf tea capsules this time round I think they're from 32 weeks. Anyone else seen all the stuff about the tea on tiktok?

My labour was 36 hours with DS, so hoping the raspberry leaf might speed it up abit. Though I was only pushing for about 15 mins max, was only a few contractions and he was out!

Lillers · 02/06/2024 12:41

@BeautyAndTheBump1 Donโ€™t worry, youโ€™re not alone! DH and I have only done it once since conception - just feel too shit too much of the time!

Guys I canโ€™t remember who recommended The Birth Uprising a few weeks ago in all the conversations about hypnobirthing, but Iโ€™ve started following them and did one of their free live webinars a couple of days ago and I love them! Iโ€™ve bought the rest of their course because I actually came out of the webinar really excited about my birth journey, and with a wealth of understanding that I didnโ€™t have before. Hoping the rest of the course is as good because Iโ€™m really impressed so far.

HRP1990 · 02/06/2024 12:50

@BeautyAndTheBump1 I did it all; sex, curry, dates, tea.. you name it and my labour was over 4/5 days. I think your body is just ready when itโ€™s ready ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Iโ€™m going in knowing my body is already 1/2cm dilated from last time, so hoping itโ€™s quicker!

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 02/06/2024 13:02

@Lillers Oooh I'm going to check them out. I rewatched the positive birth company videos from my friends subscription which was good - you can watch their videos on YouTube as well. I find the breathing techniques videos really useful, breathing helped me so much in labour! Well, it's what got me through I did 36 hours labour and turned up at the hospital 10cm!

@HRP1990 really! I think I'm taking a much calmer approach this time. I was walking for miles every day, curb steps etc and the day I woke up and was so fed up after I'd had my 2nd sweep I was still only 1cm so I was like that's it I'm doing no more walking, nothing! Went home, cried half the day, napped...went into labour that night!

HRP1990 · 02/06/2024 13:16

@BeautyAndTheBump1 A cry and a nap sounds good to me ๐Ÿ˜‚ less effort than curb walking for miles haha

Yeah Iโ€™ve seen the videos too! I might give it a try.

I absolutely recommend 4 medjool dates a day from 36 weeks. I went into spontaneous labour at 38+3 and had such a smooth labour. A far cry from my first (where I didnโ€™t do the dates) where I had to be induced. So I always advocate for the dates, as Iโ€™m convinced they helped in some way

Honeyandsunshine1 · 02/06/2024 14:55

Ah, just seen @HRP1990 talking about what she tried ๐Ÿคฃ Iโ€™d still give the dates a go, just in case. Canโ€™t hurt throwing everything at it and hoping for the best ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

My waters went at 8am the moment I swung my legs out of bed, and then had the baby at 4am. I did go to hospital twice in between then but I also didnโ€™t want to be โ€œcheckedโ€ to gauge how many cm I was, just because of the risk of infection. So they were going off my demeanour. Anyways, I arrived back at the hospital at 3:20am in a taxi, and baby was in my arms at 3:40. Just putting this out there into the universeโ€ฆ. GIVE ME SOMETHING THAT ATRAOGJTFORWARD AGAIN PLS THANK U ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ˜‚
