@rupertbear91 I spent some time googling about it last night and most things were saying itโ€™s to do with baby kicking, but like you my baby is kicking really low! Other things said about some exercises that might help (mainly stretching across to the opposite side) but Iโ€™ve already been doing that and it helps at the time but the pain comes back pretty quickly. If you find a solution, let me know!

rupertbear91 · 19/05/2024 08:04

@Lillers interesting you say stretching the other side as the opposite side of my back keeps going into spasm.... the physio has given me stretches for that so will see if it helps!

PoppingUp · 19/05/2024 08:31

@Lillers our ribs will be moving wider at the moment to accommodate all the other bits and bobs that the womb is pushing out of the way as it grows! The bump website notes rib pain as a specific symptom around week 23. Mine started hurting a little bit during yoga this week when I was doing some chest opener stretches and so I had to really back off from them but it's definitely normal, albeit unpleasant!

Have you heard of the poet Holly McNish? She has some great stuff about pregnancy and raising babies and this one is about all the ways our bodies change and also mentions ribs moving ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

@HRP1990 I'm exactly the same! I have a huge list on my phone... I've got a few baby grows/sleep suits and a snowsuit. That's it really ๐Ÿซฃ have moments of panic, then tell myself I have ages. The nursery is currently a dumping ground for the spare room whilst we decorate that

I have actually bought quite a bit, cot, bedside crib, bath, changing mat, steriliser, clothes, however our babies room is the dumping ground it's just a small single and currently you can barely get in the room!

rupertbear91 · 19/05/2024 12:08

When is everyone having 4d scans if you have them booked. I have mine in for 25+6 and the clinic just rang and said really they recommend 26-28 weeks and do I want to move it. I'm only one day off but we are booked up at weekends till 29 weeks then. Don't want to waste money if we won't get good pictures?

WinsandSam · 19/05/2024 14:03

@TripleESept24 I'm very jealous! I was clear I wouldn't buy a thing before 20 week scan as wanted to make sure we were all good first. Hopefully things pick up soon. We've booked a slot to try some buggies next weekend and seen a few cots etc on FB I'm going to try and get

SC126 · 19/05/2024 15:02

Bump is definitely bumping now. 24 weeks tomorrow. Just been out in the heat for 2hrs and now I'm knackered.

@SC126 very cute bump indeed ๐Ÿ˜ป

I parked my bump and myself on the sun lounger today for some 2 hours.

@rupertbear91 yeah people told me itโ€™s a waste of money to book before 26 weeks and the best would be to do at 28. Iโ€™m going to do at 27 or 28.

HRP1990 · 19/05/2024 18:41

We went to a friends for a bbq today and theyโ€™ve cooked for us an entertained our toddler. Itโ€™s been heaven! All Iโ€™ve had to do is eat and drive us home lol. I could get used to being pregnant!

Lillers · 19/05/2024 19:12

Last day of the Premier League season so went to the football this afternoon - weโ€™ve decided to give up our season tickets as we wonโ€™t be able to make much use of them next year ๐Ÿ˜ญ. For the past few months on every fan feedback survey Iโ€™ve put that they need to add some seating to the bar area because you can end up standing in there for ages before the match. Today, there were some seats! Only 7, lol, but it was 7 more than there used to be, and next to me was another pregnant lady, also due in September. It was nice to chat to someone like we do on here in real life!

Who's your team @Lillers ?

TripleESept24 · 19/05/2024 19:33

Anybody else getting a hairy belly?! I was out in the sunshine today with shorts and a little cropped belly top on and noticed my belly was looking hairy ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคฃ especially around the belly button and underneath

Lillers · 19/05/2024 19:48

malimoon · 19/05/2024 20:23

I think I felt baby move from the outside for the first time today!! A couple of little kicks that I could feel with my hand on my belly. Got my partner to put his hand there the second time and he thought he could feel it. Crazy days

WinsandSam · 19/05/2024 20:48

@TripleESept24 yes!!! I'm like a furry bear ๐Ÿ˜‚ Can majorly see it in the sun too!!

@malimoon aawww that's lovely!! We first felt our last week and now she won't stop wiggling.

Does anyone else notice their stomach is twice the size and really hard at night? I'm finding it pretty uncomfortable and I'm only 22 weeks ๐Ÿ˜ณ I think I've been a bit too active with walking this weekend in particular racking up about 9 miles which won't help

Emmaev · 19/05/2024 20:56

@rupertbear91 I had a 4d with my daughter at 25+2 and the pictures were amazing. Itโ€™s so crazy how she looked at the scan, we look back now and you can just tell itโ€™s her. You can see all her features. Theyโ€™re just very skinny at this gestation.

@TripleESept24 yes can join you on the hairy belly. Iโ€™m growing less hair on my legs and far more on my belly these days haha

SpicyMoth · 19/05/2024 21:14

@rupertbear91 Mine was at 24(+2??) and I think mine came out okay? :)

The sonographer doing it said they look roughly how they'll look at the end just minus some baby fat - Afaik/was told it shouldn't affect picture quality only effect is how accurate baby will look to when it's birthing time, but they may well have been bending the truth a wee bit for all I know ahaha

Also defnitely experiencing the same @WinsandSam, my running theory is it's a combination of baby, the days water retention, and slower digestion - fairly sure I read somewhere that your digestion slows right down in pregnancy?! Not sure how true that is though!

WinsandSam · 19/05/2024 21:33

@SpicyMoth it's good to know it's not just me! I'm sure it normal. Solid as a rock! Also been having a lot of stretching/pulling/stitch type feelings this weekend. It's just as I see some people with tiny bumps and it's makes me question is it normal?!

rupertbear91 · 19/05/2024 21:37

Thanks everyone think I will leave it at 25+6 and hopefully be ok!

@TripleESept24 me too on the hairy belly I was mortified when I saw the light on it ๐Ÿ˜‚

SpicyMoth · 19/05/2024 21:42

I totally feel you re; seeing others with tiny bumps @WinsandSam - One of my FB friends is about as far along as I am and is absolutely tiny!!
But then she's also significantly taller than me, so I suppose that makes sense - It doesn't half make me feel like Aunt Marge from that one Harry Potter film๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ˆ

WinsandSam · 19/05/2024 21:45

@SpicyMoth same here! I'm 5'3", I have no torso ๐Ÿ˜‚ it just makes you a bit self conscious.baby is probably already squashed. I'm jealous of long torsos now! I know I'm going to be HUGE by the end.

longingtobe23 · 19/05/2024 22:03

I am a long torso and shy bump โ€ฆ. Until this week nearly 23
and the evening I am huge and stiff belly and uncomfortableโ€ฆ I am doing smaller evening meals and cool showers (heat isnโ€™t helping)
but today my mother said ummm your fingers look a bit swollen and now Iโ€™m paranoid ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜‚

im praying it the weather playing tricks on us ladies! As I seem to have doubled over 5 days
