I have quite dark brunette hair and brown eyes and dh has blue eyes and although blonde as a child has very dark blonde to light brown hair.
Am I right to think the baby is most likely to have my colouring or is it 50/50?
My parents have brown hair and eyes.
His parents one of each.

It depends on which genes you have inherited.
If you have two brown eye genes from your parents. Then you can only have a brown eyed child. If you have a blue eyed gene it can be passed on and join forces with your partners blue eyed gene.

My husband has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. I'm blonde hair blue eyes, all 3 of our children have blonde hair! Two with blue eyes and one with brown! I expected his genes to be the dominant ones

I'm brunette with dark brown eyes, DH had black hair (what's left is mostly grey now) and blue eyes. My DS has the bluest eyes and dark brown hair, DD has green eyes and mid brown hair. Both DHs parents have blue eyes, my DM had blue eyes and my DF has brown, so ancestral genetics do play a part. Either way, whatever hair/eye colour your baby has, they will be beautiful.

No, that is the simplistic version we learnt at school but the genetics of eye colour are far more complex and involve a number of different genes.
For example, my friends are both blue eyed and have 2 brown eyed children. That can't be explained by the system learned at school, but it's entirely possible in reality.
