@Sara1988 I had pelvic girdle or SPD with my first two. For me it felt like id done three straight days at the gym without stretching... absolute agony! Achy muscles all around the pelvis and upper thighs and lower back. Couldn't get comfortable at night or sitting. A yoga ball helped loads.
The ligaments surrounding the pelvis get too much of a certain chemicle during pregnancy (relaxin?) and therfore everything turns to.jelly and there is nothing holding your pelvis together.
Made it very difficult to do the everyday things like load the dishwasher or lift bags of shopping into the car. By the end of both pregnancies, I was basically immobile. But I think I had it pretty bad, and there is a scale and some could just have mild discomfort.
My midwife sent me on a course where they suggested ways which might help like a belly band, keeping your feet up as much as possible, legs together as much as possible and even gave me crutches.
I hope its not.too bad for you, and if its any consolation it disappeared literally the moment my babies were born. Praying I won't get it again this time. Its. Really debilitating and hard to watch other pregnant ladies run around right up till 40 weeks when I was bed bound from 36.
Have you spoken to your midwife? The sooner ypu get advice the better 😊
