@Dogscanlookup Im 6 weeks 4 days today had my bloods done 5+ 6 and where 17999

I would deff suggest getting bloods done, I was worried at first as got my first faint positive 10dpo and didn't get darker till 18/20dpo

People's HCG rises at different stages

@JNicko Same for you would deff see if Gp will do your bloods may help your piece of mind

When I was pregnant in 2007 i only did the one test and had no bloods or scans done then had MC 6/7 weeks, not been pregnant since so been a bit more scared this time, but have to remember things are really out of my control and I have to try trust my body

Can I join please? I found out I was pregnant this week. Massive shock. I'm 41. Suffered from unexplained infertility throughout 30s then had my miracle baby 2 years ago. To my astonishment my body seems to be willing to repeat the miracle. DH also in shock.
Am quite anxious about increased MMC risk at my age. Thinking about getting an early scan. Am feeling tired, weird aches and pains, but sick in the evenings.
Sending positive vibes to you all Flowers

How’s everyone doing today? I’m 6+4 today and still barely any symptoms other than sore boobs and a bit more tired than usual. Got my scan at the EPU tomorrow morning to check everything is ok so far - utterly terrified as this is when things have gone wrong for me the last 2 times. Trying to keep as positive as possible but can’t shift this underlying feeling of dread 😣

Dogscanlookup · 14/04/2024 16:54

@Iamnotalemming ah wow congratulations! Thats exciting but yes must be a massive shock! Get that early scan, just for peace of mind. I think after 35 / 40 they do increased checks for us, so even though there’s higher risks there’s a closer eye!
@dreammama who would have thought we’d still all be symptom spotting after our BFPs! I know how you feel.. I do the countdown too on where my last one went wrong. But it doesn’t mean this one will.. I really hope everything goes well tomorrow and you see a little heartbeat!

Dogscanlookup · 14/04/2024 16:56

@Quolla exactly this with the control - its just a wait and see! I don’t know how anyone just waits until 12 weeks for their first scan! I’ve had an early scan with all of my pregnancies due to pains / bleeds. It’s become a norm for me!

Quolla · 14/04/2024 17:09

@Iamnotalemming welcome and congratulations!!!

@dreammama I really hope tomorrow goes well. Time seems to go so slowly when you're waiting for a scan but it will pass!

@Dogscanlookup I'm also not sure how I did it last time, a mix of the only private scan place near me being constantly fully booked and my main symptom was being asleep most non-work waking hours probably helped 🤣 I'm wondering if it'll be the same for me this time, I didn't get any nausea but just... slept. I have a toddler now so will see what happens!

JNicko · 14/04/2024 17:51

Just done another test and seems to have gotten darker since this morning. So HCG must be rising. That has eased my anxiety for now. I think I'm just going to call it there and not test anymore.

Tentatively joining in if I can.

Tested positive this morning at 9/10dpo so I’m only 3+4.

This is number two for us and it’s cycle seven. I was beginning to think it wouldn’t happen (with my daughter we caught on the first month).

I’m 38 and my husband is 40.

My plan is to test each morning for the next few days, my period is due on Tuesday so hoping it stays away.

My EDD is Christmas Day!

Lauren0506 · 14/04/2024 20:47

Happy Sunday girls, 6 weeks today.. quick question is anybody on their second or more pregnancy and showing so much earlier than before? Xxx

I did find mine were darker sometimes in the pm rather than am When will you stop testing do you think?

Hope all goes well for tomorrow, please update on how it goes and if your able to take any pics and sending hugs and thinking of you.

Apart from Fatigue and body aches I would say my symptoms are up and down each day and I'm 6+4 like you

@UnicornPrincessSarah probably won't test anymore. It's dark and I'm pregnant. That's good enough for me. 9 days until the scan I can see how things are progressing

CaptainCabinets · 14/04/2024 22:30

Hello, I’m joining in with my little surprise 🤭

App says I’m due 18/12/24!

Hi ladies! Lovely to meet you. Excited to share this journey together! Wonder who will deliver on Christmas haha.

DinoNuggetsRUs · 15/04/2024 06:52

@Dogscanlookup if it's any consolation, I should be 7 weeks tomorrow but I've only just got my 3+ on a clear blue this morning. It was the same with my first pregnancy.
When I went for my first scan with my son, it turned out I was 5 days behind what I thought, I had a completely healthy pregnancy so there was nothing to worry about it just made those first few weeks before I had viability confirmed by an ultrasound rather than a test a bit fraught with worry.

Is yours on the 23rd? How far along will you be?
Mines on the 23rd too and I've booked in for the sneak peek to see whether we're having a boy or a girl too. I'll be 8 weeks on the dot.
Secretly hoping for a girl as I already have a little boy but I've been very nonchalantly saying to the few people I've told that I don't mind!

JNicko · 15/04/2024 07:07

@DinoNuggetsRUs my scan on the 23rd I think I'll be 5w 6d. They are scanning me early because of me recurrent miscarriages

Sheth86 · 15/04/2024 08:03

UnicornPrincessSarah · 13/04/2024 16:04

Hi does it say 10 weeks is a scan as i thought 10 weeks was normally the midwife appointment?

I still haven't heard back from my referral and I'm just over 6 weeks now I think just takes them a while to respond

It's the nuchal scan (or something like that). It might be because of my age, at 37, maybe they want to see me sooner xx

Haven't heard of my GP surgery yet for the appointment you do with them to get your green notes. But I'll chase that this week. How you going?

No heard about making an appointment with gp for green notes I'm in the UK and we have to do everything online and refer ourselves to midwifes etc.

Ah that's the 12 week scan where your get the dating of baby done and also you can have this done at same time The nuchal translucency test measures the nuchal fold thickness. This is an area of tissue at the back of an unborn baby's neck. Measuring this thickness helps assess the risk for Down syndrome and other genetic problems in the baby

Im not to bad thank you, yourself

@Quolla pregnancy with a toddler this time round was worrying me! Like you my main symptoms last time was just exhaustion and I would be quite queasy in the mornings. I learned to slowly get up and eat a biscuit. This isn’t doable with a toddler around 😂
@DinoNuggetsRUs thank you, that is reassuring! Yesterday I was getting twinges, sharpish pains and my boobs / nipples are so sensitive. Plus I’m getting this sudden insane hunger pains where I need to eat within seconds like I had with my daughter. So I’m putting the sticks down and relaxing! If I haven’t of done that test I wouldn’t be worried at all.
@JNicko great news and good idea to stop testing! After yesterday I’m realising it’s just the worst idea to keep doing it, it’s not really helpful at all!

MissMadam · 15/04/2024 09:16

Cautiously joining! Hi all, got my bfp on Saturday. We weren’t trying or preventing and I was mainly testing because I need to book a smear. I’m still shell shocked, it was literally a couple of times after random discussion about trying for number 2 as I’m 41 this year. I was expecting it to take a few months at least. I only have cheapie boots test. You can see a line but they haven’t got any darker so no idea. I’m going to give it a week then get a digital and test. It was exactly the same as DS I didn’t get a positive test until AF was due.
