Anyone else tested super early and due December 2024? This is my 2nd pregnancy after a mmc 2 days after my 12 week scan in December and actual miscarriage in January.

Hoping this will be the 1 that sticks and is healthy. Think my due date is Dec 3rd

Ladies, I haven't felt baby move a lot in the last 24 hours. I'm going to ring the midwife team who I suspect will want to see me. Can anyone advise what they'll do??

Definitely go in and get checked. I went in 3 times with my first pregnancy and they always ask they’d want to see someone a hundred times and everything be okay, rather than they never went in and things weren’t.

They’ll hook you up to the monitoring machine and make sure she’s moving enough to meet their requirements.

@Firsttimetrier @HelterSkelter224 @GammaTheGecko thank you ladies, yeah they've booked me in, I'm just on my way now. Typically sat in the car car I've just felt him wriggle around more than I have in the last 24 hours so feeling abit silly now.
Hes just usually SO active, especially in the evenings and last night I mentioned to my DH that I hadn't felt him much at all. Then today it continued so I thought I'd best be safe xxxxx

You are just right to get checked if worried, they would much prefer to see you than not. Also there's nothing like maternity triage for monitoring to kick a sleepy baby into gear!!

HelterSkelter224 · 30/10/2024 16:34

And never feel silly @Lunamoon23 it's so important to get checked out if concerned. They ask you to keep an eye on patterns of movement for a reason. X

32 + 4 weeks and my tiredness has definitely come back, anyone else? I'm waking up feeling a bit light headed in the morning too

Yes 😭 exhausted

Lunamoon23 · 30/10/2024 17:34

Little update : baby is all fine 💙
He was moving around a little and his heartbeat was strong. Hes still breech and now also facing the wrong way! Which they suspect is why I wasn't feeling as much movement. But feeling very reassured and glad I went. Xxx

HelterSkelter224 · 30/10/2024 18:28

Glad to hear it @Lunamoon23 ❤️

RedRobyn2021 · 30/10/2024 18:39

Glad it went well @Lunamoon23 and everything is ok ♥️

Lunamoon23 · 30/10/2024 18:59

Thank you ladies 💙 appreciated your support.

@RedRobyn2021 glad to hear the sickness stopped but sorry to hear your still feeling rubbish. Hopefully you start to feel better soon!

Wondering also have you ladies been having your bump measured at midwife appointments now? I had it done a month ago tomorrow and it was 26.5cm (29weeks) and had it done again today and she said it was 31.5cm (33weeks) She said baby is on the slightly smaller scale. X

HelterSkelter224 · 30/10/2024 19:31

How many weeks are you @Lunamoon23? My bump in last pregnancy was always a cm or 2 out either way and she came out a healthy 7lb9. This time it's spot on but even if your baby is small, that's ok they might just be small baby!

RedRobyn2021 · 30/10/2024 20:28

Honestly there is so little accuracy in fundal measurements I wouldn't worry, if your midwife was genuinely concerned she'd have sent you for a scan (which is also very inaccurate funnily enough)

I've only been measured once so far but my midwife just said I was on the 50th centile, I'll next be measured next week

GammaTheGecko · 30/10/2024 20:54

I've been measured my last few appts, also 33 weeks, my last 2 were measuring slightly large but only by a few cm like you @Lunamoon23 so I'm not worried and neither was the midwife. They also told me that different midwives have different ways of measuring so could be slightly out (which ties in with me having to change midwife a month or so ago) so I wouldn't worry :)

Lunamoon23 · 30/10/2024 21:44

@GammaTheGecko yeah she didn't say it in a concerned way, she just mentioned it and it was the first I'd heard of it. I'm not worried particularly, everything else so far on scans etc has appeared well and good, he seems like a healthy happy little man in there on the most part. Aslong as it keeps processing like this, I'm happy even if he is a little on the diddy side. His dad was just over 8lb at birth and he's now a 6ft 4 giant 😂

@RedRobyn2021 yeah I've read often on Mumsnet how inaccurate they are. Sometimes women talked into have a csection due to big baby's and they end up being completely normal size! Our last scan put him at approx 4lb 2oz so far. X

LilyJessie · 30/10/2024 22:56

@starryx - yes I have definitely felt tired again!! I am finding this trimester pretty rough.

@Lunamoon23 - so pleased all is okay. Never feel silly. Xx

MaybeBaby2024 · 31/10/2024 01:44

Anyone else crippled with back pain? 😫

I can’t even attribute it to anything I’ve done to strain myself. Just the increasing weight of the bump I guess.

LilyJessie · 31/10/2024 08:02

@MaybeBaby2024 - Yes! Moreso end of the day after commuting to and from work!

MaybeBaby2024 · 31/10/2024 10:44

@LilyJessie its terrible isn’t it?! My job involves lots of driving, sitting at computers so my back is stiff when I get home.

Thankfully I’m finishing work early this time round. Going off at the end of this week and using up my annual leave before maternity starts.

Don’t think I could hack this for another 8 weeks 🙈

Do you have one of those giant bouncy ball things to sit on? Might get mine out and see if it’s easier than sitting on a chair. lol

Molly4689 · 31/10/2024 15:08

Has anybody had B12 injections before? I've been told I need them regularly and 2 x iron infusions. Hoping they'll kick in at least before baby arrives!

GammaTheGecko · 31/10/2024 17:57

@MaybeBaby2024 I got a birthing ball from Amazon a few weeks ago and have been sitting on it to watch TV because our sofa is terrible, and it relives my lower back pain almost straight away! My hips kind of hurt when I get off it after any more than like 10 mins though, I wonder if that's from them being stretched (which is probably a good thing right? Idk), but yeah overall I'd recommend for back pain :) and of course should be good for labour.

Is anyone else starting to feel really scared now? I've only felt excitement so far, but since about a week ago when I hit 32 weeks I've been just really scared and I can't think about the labour at all without feeling like my heart is in my mouth.

LilyJessie · 31/10/2024 18:49

@MaybeBaby2024 @GammaTheGecko -

I did get one off of amazon and have started to use it.
I don't find it the miracle fix I was hoping for but I am going to persevere!
I can't keep still either. I think the ball helps that. Shame I can't take it to work 🤣

Lunamoon23 · 31/10/2024 19:05

@GammaTheGecko RE the birth, yes you're not alone ❤️ is this your first? I had my meeting today with my midwife and the prenatal mental health team to discuss my birth plan which has made me feel ALOT better. I'm having an ELCS and I'm now allowed my DH to stay with me in hospital overnight in a side room which was a HUGE anxiety for me. (I absolutely hate hospitals). I was also made aware I can still have two birth partners although it'll only be myself and DH in theatre but that's also made me feel alot better knowing I can have my mum (my best friend) there on the day throughout it all.
But I'm shitting myself. I've never had surgery of any kind before and I hate needles, blood and hospitals so 😂 it's not going to be an enjoyable experience for me. But it helps that I feel in some sort of control over how it's going to happen. It's why I opted for a csection, so that I could prepare myself mentally. Xxxxx

Yes! I've had lower back sciatica since about week 16. And it's felt worse recently with the extra weight from bump. Oddly the thing I find helps most is staying active. My job means I'm on my feet walking around most of the day which is when I actually feel the most relief. I also can't sit on my sofa anymore because that makes it so much worse, so we basically live in the bedroom now 😂 eat dinner up there and watch tv. Lying down with my pregnancy pillow helps a lot too, along with back rubs from DH when I can persuade him haha. Oh and baths. Lots of baths xxx

@Lunamoon23

This is wonderful that your hospital have been so supportive, I'm really pleased for you
