definitely just over thinking everything haha but hoping its a sign everything is going ok!

spudnik1 · 07/04/2024 18:13

@Sunandsea13 yuk ! Is their a way of making it taste nice ?

ButterflySkies · 07/04/2024 18:55

Lovely to see some scan piccies!

Im with you on the discharge, so much! I've had horrible cramping this weekend too which I think is my backwards tilting womb moving but it's not been fun! Topped off with the sickness, ive decided to have tmo off with DD who has chicken pox and im going to shove peppa pig on and hope i can rest!

@spudnik1 if its bad try movicol, i had awful constipation with my first and the movicol sachets are safe in pregnancy and also a god send after birth! They arent a laxative i think they hydrate the poo, so just keep up the water. But i also swear by a stool in the loo too! X

tink3rb3ll · 07/04/2024 19:07

Random question.....,

I had my scan and NIPT today, the lady told me I'm 11w5d but on the scan pic the GA states 10w5d. Why is this?

aussiegirl89 · 07/04/2024 19:17

@spudnik1 I've been adding a handful of chia seeds to my smoothies or sprinkling them on cereal and that's helped me stay regular-ish

I swear by chia seeds - always made sure to have them after recovering from surgeries or anaesthetic because they're great form of fibre and omega 3s and just feel like the lubricate you haha

Bee49 · 07/04/2024 20:05

@tink3rb3ll I’m guessing you’re 10w5d from LMP? If you’re measuring ahead they’ll change your due date at the 12 weeks scan but until that point they go off LMP dates.

Trifficult · 07/04/2024 20:27

@spudnik1 constipation has been terrible, I've actually been bleeding from my butt which has been unpleasant! Have no advice as definitely not winning the war against my digestive system, but I do feel your pain!

CluelessInLondon · 07/04/2024 21:08

@tink3rb3ll It's based on LMP date - my scan picture says 12w3d but when they measured baby they told me I was 13 weeks.

mrssunshinexxx · 08/04/2024 07:06

Finding it so hard to drink much fluid and keep getting headaches as a result. Just makes me gag and irritating as always up in the night for a wee even tho I'm drinking like nothing !

ButterflySkies · 08/04/2024 11:01

Waiting in the drs for a referral to EPU... could cry my eyes out sitting here. Had a huge bleed overnight and awful cramping. Let's hope I just get to see baby again earlier than planned.

Sending love to everyone who has had scares, it's bloody awful isnt it.

CluelessInLondon · 08/04/2024 11:10

@ButterflySkies Keeping everything crossed for you that you get a scan soon and that the bleed is a one-off. ❤

WickWood · 08/04/2024 11:22

@ButterflySkies As above, fingers and toes crossed that all is absolutely fine, such a worrying time ❤️

Joey2011 · 08/04/2024 11:30

@ButterflySkies hope everything turns out OK for you. Hugs
It's the worst feeling when you see blood. 😔

ButterflySkies · 08/04/2024 11:53

Thanks lovelies - theyve got me in at 1040 tomorrow morning so sit tight and go to a&e if it gets any worse... the dr was lovely, told me not to loose hope and some women do just bleed. Will let you know how i get on xx

IsLarryFromSomething · 08/04/2024 12:02

Thinking good thoughts for you @ButterflySkies 💕

I have been nauseous the whole time but only thrown up a couple of times. But the worry was always there that I would be sick again, which started yesterday when trying to take a paracetamol for a headache. Trying to swallow the pill was such a trigger. I felt awful the rest of the day and slept for 12 hours last night. Really hoping the symptoms ease off after this week, I am 12 weeks on Friday so hopefully this isn't just how it's going to be for 6 more months.

WeightoftheWorld · 08/04/2024 12:55

Hi ladies, not posted for awhile. I have my dating scan soon and very anxious about it. I'm worried too that I won't be able to fill my bladder enough because of the sickness, has anyone had this before and what happened, will they offer a transvaginal scan in that case? I've managed in both my previous pregnancies despite having HG so I'm telling myself I should manage this time too but I'm finding it really hard to drink (scan is in around one hour) and I've already vomited once as a result!

WickWood · 08/04/2024 12:59

@WeightoftheWorld My bladder wasn't very full in my 12 week scan (the sonographer even pointed it out) but he was able to see everything he should! Good luck!

30somethingttc · 08/04/2024 13:58

@WeightoftheWorld I had an EPU scan recently and didn’t have a full bladder at all and they managed to see what they needed.
I am a bit worried about the full bladder thing. I swear I have a bladder the size of a small small child’s. I don’t think I’ll be able to hold it for an hour before my scan, I am having to go a lot!

Len88 · 08/04/2024 14:16

Hi, I’m new here hope I’m posting in the right place. I am 11 weeks pregnant (first pregnancy), had my booking appointment last week and have my scan booked for next week. I also have a midwife appointment in mid May for 16 weeks but today also received a letter saying I will have a phone appointment with an obstetric consultant a few days later. I’m a bit worried as the midwife didn’t mention this and I worry it means something is wrong? Has anyone else had this and have any ideas of what the appointment might be about? Thank you!

WickWood · 08/04/2024 14:19

@Len88 Did the midwife say whether you were low risk etc during the booking appointment?

Len88 · 08/04/2024 14:20

Thanks for your response! Yes she said she thought it was likely low risk

tryforbabynumber2 · 08/04/2024 14:21

@Len88 Welcome and congrats ❤️ Sometimes you will be put under additional care from a consultant if your pregnancy is considered "higher risk" for a number of different reasons - high maternal BMI, twin/multiple pregnancy, pre-existing health conditions, gestational diabetes, maternal age, high blood pressure. I was under the consultant in my previous pregnancy due to BMI. I have since lost a lot of weight but am now pregnant with twins so will be under the consultant again for this reason. I wouldn't worry about it unless you've been told there's anything to worry about - could be for any number of reasons. Hope this helps xxx

Thank you! Yes hopefully they’ll let me know soon and I’ll try not to worry in the meantime :)

OneSunnyFox · 08/04/2024 15:02

@WeightoftheWorld depending on your hospitals scanning equipment in some cases you no longer need a full bladder. My hospital explicitly says you don’t need a full bladder for them anymore! The scan clarity was wild in comparison to my private scans which were fuzzy! So don’t fret about it! They will find a way!

@ButterflySkies thinking of you! Fingers and toes crossed for a positive outcome for tomorrow!

CluelessInLondon · 08/04/2024 15:13

@Len88 Welcome and congratulations. One possible reason for an extra appontment might be if your blood type is rhesus negative - do you know if your bloods from your booking appointment have been processed yet? Once mine were I got a letter from the hospital saying I have an extra appointment around the 20 week mark to discuss prevention of rhesus disease because my blood type is negative. I've definitely found that hospitals are terrible for not giving enough information on what appointments are for - they seem to just assume everyone knows everything, which makes me feel really stupid when I get confused!
