Oh shit @Sydney1988 youve really been through it these last few days. Give it a couple of hours then maybe try some ice lollies? 🤞🏻 Hope you’re ok!! X

Sydney1988 · 28/02/2024 11:45

Thank you @Xur @Honeyandsunshine1 x my DH is heading home from work with some rehydration sachets (and added ice lollies onto my order now). This is just absolutely grim, wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy!!

VT6 · 28/02/2024 11:52

@Sydney1988 i would ring your GP aswell to see what they advise you to do. You don’t want to get dehydrated.
my mum had it a couple of weeks ago and nearly ended up in hospital due to dehydration- she was being sick for 7 days straight x

HolyMoly24 · 28/02/2024 12:33

@Sydney1988 that sounds awful, I hope it passes soon for you and you manage to get some hydration xx

FirstTimeMum897 · 28/02/2024 13:09

@WolfMother326 pregnacare are the devil. I tried the conception ones, they made me ill, caused spotting and delayed my period. Then, for some reason, after I got pregnant I tried the pregnancy ones and they made me so sick. I have no idea who actually gets along with them, their marketing must be so aggressive and they're everywhere.

MudandMoet · 28/02/2024 14:28

@Honeyandsunshine1 is someone cutting onions? 🥹🥹 What a lovely comment, you've made my day! I read that while I was having my hair done and had to keep blinking as I was welling up. You're 100% spot on with it all. Thank you 💪🏼🫶🏻❤️❤️❤️

@Sydney1988 how are you now? Any improvement? Sounds really horrendous, hope it clears soon for you xx

@WolfMother326 I have used the pregnacare (including pre conception etc) I found they bunged me up no matter how much fibre I put into my diet. I gave up with them and just went on to the standard vitamin supplements advised by the midwife xx

Something is not right with the Seraphine site. I ordered maternity trousers and first it didn’t want to accept my card because it didn’t like my postcode (for some reason?), I paid with Apple Pay, but never got an email with the confirmation of the order. I looked up the order and it shows cancelled.
Hmmm 😕

@WolfMother326 @FirstTimeMum897 @MudandMoet I take Pregnacare and as far as I know I don’t have any issues with them - that being said I’m so ill all the time I don’t know if I would notice them making me worse 😂. I always take them in the middle of my evening meal to prevent any stomach issues. To be fair I took the equivalent Wellwoman for a couple of years and the Pregnacare Conception vitamins when we were ttc, so I think my system is probably used to that brand.

Sydney1988 · 28/02/2024 14:51

@VT6 @HolyMoly24 @MudandMoet Still feeling awful - throwing up at 20 minute intervals for almost 12 hours now. My god, ladies who have HG I bow down. A little taster for me. I’ve had mini morning spews and a bit of nausea from week onwards - but this is a whole different ball game! I called EPU who said call GP. Got a telephone appt with GP and he was extremely thorough - just said keep drinking and getting as much fluid in as poss, because even if you think it’s just coming straight back up, there will be things getting through. I’m alternating between rehydration sachets, weak diluting juice and flat lucozade. He thinks I’ve picked up norovirus in A&E. The joys!!! Thanks for checking in on me ladies x

Christie94 · 28/02/2024 15:01

I can't get my head around nub theory or anything to give me any insight on the gender.

Baby was being awkward so I had scans 3 weeks in a row while they tried to get my due date. Due 04/09/2024

What do you ladies think, baby boy or baby girl?

ForeverHopeful67 · 28/02/2024 15:04

Due date twins @Christie94 !

Just came back from my (second) 12 week scan!

Measuring 13 weeks today and due 4th September!

Eeeeeek!

Due date twins @Christie94 !

Measuring 13 weeks today and due 4th September!

Eeeeeek!

Yay! Looks like I conceived a bit later than originally thought as calendars would have had me about 14 weeks now, but 13 weeks today. Really want to know whether we having a boy or girl!

Emmaev · 28/02/2024 15:38

Finally got our results back for the screening test
1 in 8288 for downs
1 in 81,267 for Edwards/pataus

No idea why I was so anxious, we never even had the screening for our daughter but very happy!

VT6 · 28/02/2024 15:48

@Emmaev thats great news! Just another thing to tick off the worry list, is yours ever growing aswell?xx

Emmaev · 28/02/2024 16:12

@VT6 thanks so much! Oh yes now I can worry about the 16 week midwife appointment where she finds the heartbeat, then the 20 week scan, then all the other bits that come after.

I think I’ll feel much better once I can feel babe move.

VT6 · 28/02/2024 17:22

@Emmaev it’s ridiculous isn’t it! I’m trying to stay relaxed and enjoy it all but the constant worry just takes over! It’s given me a headache today 😂
I’ve still got 9 days until my scan where I’ll be 12 +6

Bakerbean · 28/02/2024 17:25

Little bean is doing great! Measuring ahead at 13+1, so new due date of 3rd September 🤯😄 (we thought we were 12+3). Absolute wriggle monster - literally did a barrel roll when the clinician was trying to take photos! Saw them waving their arms and kicking their legs, and a good healthy heartbeat. What an incredible experience. So unbelievably grateful ❤️

Martibum · 28/02/2024 17:27

Lovely to see all the scans! Had mine today, twins are on doing great. They are sharing a placenta so high risk so I have a million appointments over the next few weeks/months!

Kate543 · 28/02/2024 17:48

hi all :) we went for our private nipt today which came with a scan and baby looked just perfect so excited

Lillers · 28/02/2024 17:55

How long after your booking appointments did you all get told your scan appointment date?

I had a booking appointment last Thursday and the midwife completed the request for a scan paperwork in front of me, but I still haven’t had a date through. I keep checking my online app but nothing. I’m not sure how long to leave it before chasing - I know it sounds silly but the midwife’s desk was quite messy and in my head the form is still sitting there under a pile of other papers 🤦‍♀️

Emmaev · 28/02/2024 17:56

@VT6 this is exactly it! I’m forever stressing, with my daughter I had no worries in the world. This time is totally different haha. Ah amazing the 12 week scan is magical, once you get past all the anxiety.

What an amazing scan @Bakerbean and quite a big leap. These babies are growing!

I never understand the dates, according to my due date little babe was conceived when we hadn’t even had sex and I was for sure tracking! Haha

Christie94 · 28/02/2024 18:07

@Bakerbean I know what you mean, seeing little one move and kick around nearly made me cry.

I'd had bleeding at 6 weeks and then again two days ago. I was terrified before going into yesterday's scan that something terrible had happened, but there was bubba just kicking around like crazy.

SC126 · 28/02/2024 18:22

@Lillers our hospital posts the scan date in letter form so it took a few days to receive. Also they had my address wrong but luckily I noticed and got them to correct it however the neighbour down the road somehow knew it was me and hand delivered my letter bless them.

Starlight11111 · 28/02/2024 18:33

Hi all. wow your scans are all absolutely gorgeous, so happy for you all. Still got a little while until mine and your pics are making me excited. Have been a bit quiet on here as am battling anxiety about this pregnancy but trying to stay positive. Xx

fleur89 · 28/02/2024 18:47

@Lillers I got my scan appointment notification before my booking appointment notification. Probably classic nhs IT system mess up. They forgot about me and I had to chase every day for 2 weeks, then they panicked today when they finally found me in the system and sent a scan date for 13+6 just squeezing into the window for the NT scan before it's too late.

Then a midwife called a few hours later to apologise and ask me to come in on Friday for an emergency booking appointment.

I'd be more pissed off if I hadn't already had 5 private scans through my RMC. I'm glad it's late though as the wait between my 12 week and 16 weeks private scans was already causing anxiety. At least this bridges the gap now!
