@Allthatglittersisntart yeah me too but seriously cba! The horror of waters breaking ina shopping centre lol

yeah clarysage oil and defo raspberry LEAF capsules not just raspberry x

if you find anything works please let us know lol x

I will update if something works! I’m more worried waters will break in swimming pool 😂!

Hawk901 · 11/02/2024 12:29

@mummylove24 yeah I’m like this, no difference if you drink water or not. I now have a wee, refresh my pint of water, then do that each time, rather make sure I’m hydrated and babies getting what it needs if I’m up anyway lol

AllAboardTootToot · 11/02/2024 12:45

So far this morning I’ve been for a swim, did a big shop and ate spicy wings for lunch. Im
trying!

eviction notice has been served little one, play the game! I know I have a couple more weeks but I cannot take this back pressure anymore, it’s constant, time for my body back please Jesus 😂

Congrats on the continued baby annoucements, I’m losing track! It’s brilliant to see ❤️

@mummylove24 so exhausting isn't it 😴 even if I limit my fluid intake on an evening it makes no difference whatsoever. These babies must be using our bladders as a lovely pillow 😂

I've been having period type pains over the past few days so hoping that means my cervix is getting itself ready for labour in the near future 🤞🏼 I'm at the stage of fully fed up now and can't wait for baby to arrive but still 2 weeks until "due date"

Hope everyone else awaiting your babies are coping well and having a lovely weekend 💕

Musicalitymum · 11/02/2024 13:28

We had our baby boy on Thursday. After two days of 2 cooks balls inserted in me and four people trying to break my waters and baby not engaged, I was fed up. We opted for a c section and baby was out by 7pm that evening. 6lb8 so not as tiny as we were expecting. The hospital staff were amazing and it has completely changed my view of c sections. I’m pleased I had one. Our baby is very chilled out and sleepy. This chat thread has been so useful throughout my pregnancy, thanks all.

Enjoying the boredom of hospital. Pessary put in this morning (that was slightly painful - I’ve been offered pain relief next time if it needs reinserted or a new one put in). Now enjoying regular cramps so 🤞 that will get things moving.

KayakingBex · 11/02/2024 13:40

@Musicalitymum congratulations! Wishing you a speedy recovery!

PeeBeee · 11/02/2024 14:14

Congratulations all you Mama’s that have met your babies!♥️9 days to my elective c section and if my toddler keeps going the way she does, I think she will bring on labor before then😅she is such an ‘easy’ child but the past 24 hours, I don’t know whether shes getting sick/teething or hitting them terrible 2’s 2 months early but every time she screams when she wakes up, it causes my tummy to have fake ‘contractions’. The last one was an hour ago and I am sitting here with a sore tummy☹️she is such a laid back, pleasant child and is choosing to do this a week before we bring another baby into the world, I am freaking out😭🙈😂

Last night, I was up every 1 -1.5 hour to go pee in the night, one point I almost fell asleep on the toilet 😴 another time I got up too fast and got dizzy 😵‍💫
I hadn’t drunk any more water than usual, but got thirsty dry mouth I could only take a sip of water though

Me too since sweep. Makes the long walks advice harder!
Went every 10 mins when waiting in hospital for monitor.

anony1111 · 11/02/2024 14:25

@Musicalitymum congratulations on your beautiful boy 💙 I hope you are both doing well and enjoying the baby bubble

Hankthehonk · 11/02/2024 14:59

@Musicalitymum congratulations, well done you and your boy is beautiful! Really glad your birth experience was a positive one in the end

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 11/02/2024 15:35

Well it's been over 48hours since s&s & obviously baby won't be coming today anyway! 😩

CheeseAndCrackersx · 11/02/2024 15:54

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX I feel the same.
Despite being in agony non stop since 11pm lastnight. This latent phase just won't move on/ramp up 🙈 I can't cope much longer.

Is the pain in your back?

CheeseAndCrackersx · 11/02/2024 15:58

Yeah @TheShellBeach. Since Tuesday it was coming and going but it's been consistent since last night. Even waking me up.
And I'm having a lot of bloody pink mucus today, a lot more than yesterday x

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 11/02/2024 16:19

@CheeseAndCrackersx I've had the odd tightenings in my tummy since the s&s but that's it! nothing at all apart from that 😩 seems like baby is very comfy on the inside and in no rush.. is the back pain radiating to your thighs? Sounds like you are in early stages of labour tho? 😊🤞

CheeseAndCrackersx · 11/02/2024 16:22

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX yeah to my hips and thighs. Feels like really bad period pain when it hits the front too. Xx

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 11/02/2024 16:27

@CheeseAndCrackersx your definatly in early labour hun!! Get moving around, bounce on a ball do whatever you can just get through early stage quicker hun 😀 n-awww 🥰 I'm excited for you 💕 cmon baby cheeeeeseee! Haha

TheShellBeach · 11/02/2024 16:40

Oh well done, @CheeseAndCrackersx you're definitely in labour.

It sounds like the baby's head and body is facing your back. That'll be why it's gone on so long with little progress. But it will speed up eventually.

I'm still cheering you on!

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 11/02/2024 16:45

@TheShellBeach good thinking! @CheeseAndCrackersx get on all 4s and rock yourself as that is supposed to help baby get in the right facing position for birth so maybe try that 🙂 but you don't have to listen to me as I am not a midwife! Lol but hopefully it wont be too much longer for you now hun 🤞 x

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 11/02/2024 17:29

Well I've been in for 7 hours and still haven't been induced. Baby isn't moving enough on the monitor, and so I've had several CTGs that haven't met criteria 😑 and a sweep that made me bleed

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 11/02/2024 17:33

@Musicalitymum congratulations!! Such a cutie!

@KayakingBex that's brilliant you've got started already, is it going okay?

@CheeseAndCrackersx def look at the miles circuit if you can be bothered. They can also turn later in labour 🤞although I had my first back to back and it was okay

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX ah no sorry that's rubbish!

Sunshineclouds11 · 11/02/2024 17:50

Is it normal to come out in red blotches and for them to be so itchy post birth?
I can't remember this with my first.

Cheetocat · 11/02/2024 20:44

Our baby boy Miguel was born on Friday at 38w6d and weighing 7lb7.5oz. He's absolutely beautiful. I went in for a normal obstetrician appointment on Wednesday and was told I couldn't go home as the amneotic fluid was low, induction didn't work so I ended up having a c-section. I'm still on the ward as baby has jaundice, he is currently doing a poo under the lights which creates quite the ripe aroma. 🤣

Absolutely massive congratulations to everyone else who has given birth since Wednesday, I did read through but can't rag everyone.

LavenderSweetPea · 11/02/2024 20:59

Congratulations @Musicalitymum and @Cheetocat on your babies!

@Cheetocat under the lamp poos are the worst aren't they?! Don't leave them too long if you can help it or they dry out and it's so hard to clean up baby :( fingers crossed your little one doesn't need too many rounds of treatment
