Aww a massive congratulations to @Mangotango39 and @CharXo

Okay that does sound like a few of us are having cervix's which aren't moving as quickly as we would like! @novamama that's great to hear yours is ramping up though! Mine feels the same, regular but not especially painful tightenings.

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX my DD is same as yours I think (had 2 DDs from 2 different sonographers, the DDs were about a week apart) The hospital went with the latest one, which is Monday. Hopefully it's happened for both of us by then!

mummylove24 · 09/02/2024 16:27

Congratulations on our babies 😍💖💙💖💙I don’t wanna tag and miss anyone ( really trying to keep up with our thread)

Yaaay I’m on finally on maternity leave 🙌I only lasted this long (38weeks) as I was WFH ….otherwise 😅

CheeseAndCrackersx · 09/02/2024 16:28

So it turns out I have GBS 😔

AllAboardTootToot · 09/02/2024 16:48

What’s GBS @CheeseAndCrackersx ?

OP posts:
CheeseAndCrackersx · 09/02/2024 16:49

Group b strep @AllAboardTootToot

TheShellBeach · 09/02/2024 16:50

Group B Strep.

It can be treated with antibiotics.

AllAboardTootToot · 09/02/2024 16:57

So it is, baby brain 🙈

Antibiotics make sure they get you started and on that drip during delivery too.

Congrats everyone all babies! And good luck to those in labour.

Our baby girl arrived yesterday morning, we're so in love and settled back home with big brother great💙💗

babythreeincoming · 09/02/2024 17:13

I had GBS with my second and the same with baby three - just got antibiotics in my hand once waters went. No issues with either baby 😊 As long as the midwives know and administer the antibiotics 🥰 @CheeseAndCrackersx

CheeseAndCrackersx · 09/02/2024 17:39

Thank you ladies.
I've been started on tablet antibiotics and yeah I'll be on a drip when in labour.

Think it's just upset me that only by chance on Wednesday when I went in it was picked up, all other urine tests shown nothing, even the 1 today at the midwife was fine.

Havanalily1806 · 09/02/2024 18:29

Congratulations on all the new babas

Our baby girl arrived yesterday, quite traumatic birth in the end but will save that story for another day.

All home and well now 💗

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 09/02/2024 18:58

@Havanalily1806 and @Sunshineclouds11 congratulations to you both!! Glad you're both home, and @Havanalily1806 so sorry it was a traumatic birth. Will take some time for you to process it I'm sure

anony1111 · 09/02/2024 19:19

Congratulations to all the new babies 💙💕
Struggling to keep up with the new arrivals now! Hope you are all well and enjoying your baby bubbles.

I have dropped loads in the last few days and so uncomfortable with SPD/hip pains. Hoping baby boy makes an early appearance 😂

Ihatewinding · 09/02/2024 21:15

Baby boy arrived today after a 9 hour labour. 8lb11oz at 40+2. So glad he's here! ☺️

Meconium in my waters again but only just at delivery so still managed birth centre birth, but mainly as too short time frame to transfer before he was out. Bit more to it than that but all well with just a small second degree tear. Must make poopy babies. Hoping to go home tonight, feeding going much better than with my daughter so far 🤞

Technically my sweep from Tuesday failed as over 48h by delivery but I ate 1kg of pineapple between Tuesday and Thursday haha.
Also lots of exercises on ball and hip dips for getting a back to back baby into a good position, as much as my SPD would allow anyway.
And lastly TMI but 3-6 orgasms/day with self help 😂 couldn't hack sex but solo seems to work haha.

Congrats re the other new arrivals and good luck to those still waiting!

KayakingBex · 10/02/2024 00:38

@Ihatewinding congratulations! Glad you got to have the birth you wanted and feeding is going well. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I kinda wish I liked pineapple so I could add to my encourage baby along routine.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 10/02/2024 08:19

@Ihatewinding congratulations!!! Wow that is dedication to the birth prep (esp the 6 orgasms a day!), and so amazing you got the birth centre birth and and baby stayed turned. Hope you've made it home, it's so much nicer having all of your own comforts around you. Bet it's so cute introducing your older one to new baby

CharXo · 10/02/2024 11:50

Massive congratulations to everyone so far that have had their babies 💖🩵 we’re not even half way through the month yet! Good luck to the ladies who are waiting for their little ones to arrive. Be lovely to hear everyone’s birth stories at the end of the month 😀

CheeseAndCrackersx · 10/02/2024 15:18

This latent phase is exhausting! 😩

TheShellBeach · 10/02/2024 15:52

Aw @CheeseAndCrackersx I'm willing you on silently here!

Your baby is certainly taking its time.

TheShellBeach · 10/02/2024 16:06

@CheeseAndCrackersx are you still at home?

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 10/02/2024 16:26

Well ladies bit of an update (sorry to those I haven't replied too individually) but from my midwife appointment at home on Wednesday, she referred me for a growth scan as baby was measuring on the 95th centile (tape measurements on my tummy) so went for growth scan yesterday and all is looking perfectly fine with her growth 🥰 and her estimated weight as of yesterday was 7pounds&7oz .. so seen consultant & a midwife after, whilst I was their had a 2nd stretch&sweep done this time I managed the full sweep 💪 😂 so cervix has been stretched from 1-2cm to now 2-3!! & since then been loosing bits of what I think is my mucus plug (had bits of snotty like jelly discharge) so hopefully won't be long now 😁 x

CheeseAndCrackersx · 10/02/2024 17:01

@TheShellBeach yeah still at home 🙂

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX ah 😀 I had a scan yesterday too and my little boy is 7 pound 5 they said, which made me really happy cos at the last 1 I was told he was only about 5 pound 7 and I was gutted so I'm glad he's come along well 🙂
And yeah that defo sounds like the mucus plug, what I first lost.
And since my 3rd sweep yesterday I've been having lots of bloody shows so 🤞🏻 for both of us.

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 10/02/2024 18:10

Wouldn't surprise me @CheeseAndCrackersx if we both end up having our babies on same same day! Everything for me & you is like running parallel 😂 n'awww 🥰 did your midwife tell you how many cms dilated you was? & if my little one is still on inside come Monday she will come and do another stretch&sweep x

Ihatewinding · 10/02/2024 18:37

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 being home asap is so good, main part of reason why I self weaned the codeine for my SPD so didn't need a period of observation postnatally. Postnatal on birth centre for 12 hours was okay though as own room with comfy bed and ensuite, compared to 6 bed bay on postnatal ward!

Baby boy is the noisiest sleeper, so windy/grunty. Pretty sure tongue tied so need to get that assessed asap! Nipples starting to get sore though but really happy with how going compared with my daughter as were back at hospital by now as jittery, low blood sugar and not weeing.
