@DmcinT @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 - thank you both. I got seen by the GP who sent me on to Maternity Assessment Unit as it was the most extreme version of the pregnancy rash she’s seen. Same with the midwife who took my bloods in MAU.
i didn’t hugely get much further but they did explain why they weren’t prescribing antihistamines- basically because I’m so close to giving birth being overdue - it can cause distress to baby which could be bad.
Doctor at hospital seems to be set on it being an allergic reaction but there’s nothing I'm allergic to that I’ve been in contact with.
I'm a bit worried it might be pemphigoid gestationis but GP didn’t seem to think so because although I have lots of blisters they are small not huge.
result is - I have to suffer until delivery (a week at most as I’ll be induced next Monday). If I get desperate and accept the risk I can get the antihistamine. If I break out why large blisters I can raise pemphigoid gestationis with them again.
On the upside I’ve been getting irregular period like cramps on and off all day so I’m hoping baby is finally on his way 🤞
@Kelb79 - got my fingers crossed for you that your dad gets home soon. It sounds very stressful - wishing you an easier time of it.
@anony1111 - I’ve just been repacking my maternity bag / chucking in a few bits I hadn’t got round to - figured I really should double check it given I’m getting cramps now. 😅
@Ebonythoughts - I’ve had trace protein in my urine last few times they’ve checked now. I’ve been told it’s common close to delivery.
