I registered my pregnancy online and got an appointment the same day! I am 5+4 and my first appointment is 8th March :)

Wow that's amazing - I'm also 5 +4 and i registered exactly 2 weeks ago. Heard nothing but can't chase until around the 8th of March - at 10 weeks! Doesn't suprise me that London hospitals are busy and stretched though.

CluelessInLondon · 07/02/2024 19:35

@Dannie2024 A lot of maternity services accept self-referrals so you don't have to go via your GP (it takes ages to get an appointment with my GP practice so I'm quite happy to bypass them!). I self-referred on Monday and got confirmation of my appointment yesterday. Different hospitals give different advice on how long to wait before chasing though - mine says to chase if you haven't heard after 5 days but some say to wait a couple of weeks or longer!

@Battenbergsquare I'm glad to hear everything is okay, that must have been really stressful. Will they bring you back for another scan in a couple of weeks to check things are okay?

Dannie2024 · 07/02/2024 19:53

@CluelessInLondon thanks for replying. I didn't need an appointment with my GP, I called reception and they took my details, said GP didn't need to see me.

Dannie2024 · 07/02/2024 19:55

Is anyone else worried that it's a false positive? My anxiety is driving me mad!
I think because it was such a strong positive test, and because we caught first month of trying, I'm really overwhelmed and can't believe it. Terrified it'll get taken away.
Kind of wish we had to have a blood test to confirm it 😅

I’m getting increasingly unsettled tonight. I’ve been getting twinges for the past few hours on my lower left hand side. But they’re getting stronger and more frequent. I remember having something similar last time and again starting to wonder if I would need to see someone if it got worse, before it settled. Hoping that it is just stretching and accommodating. It doesn’t feel reassuring though 😞

Nic2908 · 07/02/2024 20:53

Welcome to all of the new lovelies that have joined. Huge congratulations.

@CharlieBalf how was your scan this morning? I hope you are ok?

MrsFruitie · 07/02/2024 21:16

Hello everyone! I’ve had faint positive tests past couple of days and got a positive this morning that I’ve attached. Makes my due date the 23rd October 🤩

Hello all, I found out I’m pregnant last night with my due date being the 18th October. I’ve been a bit sickly the last few days which is normal for me at this stage. Nervous yet excited

Sunandsea13 · 07/02/2024 21:54

Does anyone know how long to wait to do a clear blue digital weeks indicator? Got my positive on the normal digital one today but on the packet of the weeks indicator, it is only 65% effective at 4 days before?

CluelessInLondon · 07/02/2024 22:31

@Sunandsea13 It goes up to 90%+ once you get to the day before your period is due, so from then is best for accuracy (or as accurate as the weeks indicator really gets).

may88 · 08/02/2024 05:27

Hi everyone - can I join too? I'm around 5 weeks with my second. Have you guys got a Facebook group set up?

Sunandsea13 · 08/02/2024 05:32

Hi everyone, is this okay progression between 9DPO and 11DPO? Got my positive on normal clear blue but weeks indicator said NP

@may88 welcome! We have a WhatsApp group set up.

@Sunandsea13 my lines didn’t get dark until 2 days after my missed period. They were really light for ages so I think yours look great!

@Bee49 would you mind sending the WhatsApp link again please, it didn't seem to want to work. Thanks.

Oct24 · 08/02/2024 06:19

Just got my second Beta results. We wanted a number over 522.... my results 735!

First scan booked for 5+5. Unfortunately my husband is travelling for work during week 6 so we're going 2 days early. Gutted we probably won't see the heartbeat at 5+5 but we should have a good idea if baby's development is on track.

Dannie2024 · 08/02/2024 06:25

@Oct24 what's a Beta test?

Sunandsea13 · 08/02/2024 06:38

@Bee49 thank you so much! 😊 will try and relax! Going to join WhatsApp when I have my bloods back and all is good!

Oct24 · 08/02/2024 06:38

@Dannie2024 It's the pregnancy blood test. It measures your hCG (pregnancy hormone.) HCG in a healthy pregnancy should be at least doubling every 48hrs.

Dannie2024 · 08/02/2024 06:39

@Oct24 oh okay. Wish I could get one of those, might make it feel real 😂

CharlieBalf · 08/02/2024 06:40

Thanks @Nic2908 - they haven't really ruled anything out but scan didn't show ectopic which is a relief. Also didn't show much else but a really thick lining but not surprised as HcG at 466 and you can't see .uch on a scan until the levels hit over 1000.

Had first blood test Tueaday and having another today. Doc said he's looking for a 63% rise to confirm a viable pregnancy anything less than that will be, well, not good.
Bit nervous this morning. Very nervous actually!

If all is headed in the right direction I'll have another scan next week at roughly 5+5.

How are you holding up? X

Sunandsea13 · 08/02/2024 06:47

@Oct24 you can get them privately. My GP won’t do it so I’m paying £49 to get one today. If you just google HCG blood test and your town they’ll be some around

Oct24 · 08/02/2024 06:48

@Sunandsea13. I think you meant to send that to @Dannie2024. :-)

I'm with a private consultant. Not UK based.

Bee49 · 08/02/2024 06:49

@Dannie2024 I’ve just copied the link from earlier in the chat. The original one is around page 7 of the chat I think. Hopefully that one works!

Dannie2024 · 08/02/2024 06:51

@Sunandsea13 ooo I just googled it, thanks. Do you know if the finger prick tests are any good for that? The clinic I found shows finger prick or visit a clinic option but that's more money.

Dannie2024 · 08/02/2024 06:56

Would I be crazy to do another test today? 😂 The anxiety is bad today. I'm an overthinker at the best of times haha.
