Welcome @MyssLyss there is a Facebook group for this Feb thread also (I'm not on it so don't have the link).

I'm torn between wanting baby to arrive v soon as I'm so uncomfortable, and wanting baby to hold off, as nothing is done, our house renovation is a mess. Floorboards up, heating broken, everything needs cleaning, no baby equipment made up, no hospital bag packed yet, and still at work. I've got my 38 week growth scan later this week and waiting to see if baby is still growing very fast as to what they want to do. Feeling so out of control with this one

AllAboardTootToot · 22/01/2024 09:04

Finally feel more human! Heads still sore but nowhere near as bad.

Been a build up on pressure in spinal cord so something they need to keep a close eye on over next few weeks. Likely they will not allow a vaginal birth now and scheduled c section to keep everything under control.

Hopefully can see doc soon and get home to rest.

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies, little ones certainly put us through our paces!

@MyssLyss hello 👋🏻 welcome! 🤗 wowowow sixth! I’m sure you’ll be a lot of help to us first time mums here!! My due date is 7th feb but am being induced on Wednesday 😱😱

I didn’t know there was a Facebook group?! Can someone share the link if they have it 🤗🤗

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/01/2024 10:01

@AllAboardTootToot glad you're feeling better and they will be keeping a close eye on you. Hope you're okay and get discharged home soon x

@Shrillwaffle you're going to be a Jan mum!! Anyone else scheduled for inductions or c sections this month?

babythreeincoming · 22/01/2024 10:48

At the hospital today for a scan to see if baby has moved from breech! I've decided not to go for the ECV. Very nervous 🙈

amyg1985 · 22/01/2024 11:04

Best wishes @babythreeincoming - that will be me on Wednesday. Let's hope babies are cooperating x

Kelb79 · 22/01/2024 11:37

@babythreeincoming @amyg1985 hoid luck! Me three on Thursday!!! My stubborn little one has just swayed between breech and transverse for the last few months…. Praying they’ve gone head down 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

amyg1985 · 22/01/2024 11:39

Considering the stats which suggest it's rare, I'm surprised how many people I'm coming across with breech/transverse/unstable lie babies. Keeping fingers crossed for us all @Kelb79

babythreeincoming · 22/01/2024 11:41

@amyg1985 @Kelb79

Good luck ladies!! I have all crossed for you both.

I'll let you know how it goes at this side 🙏🏼 xx

Kelb79 · 22/01/2024 11:46

@amyg1985 yes, I definitely think the stats seem off!! I’ve known far more than the stars suggest 🤔 hopefully ours will all have shifted 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I feel like mine has gone vertical again but I can’t figure out which way round 🤣🤣

DmcinT · 22/01/2024 12:21

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 also in this week but not until Friday, they said it could take a few days then so I’d say I’ll teeter on the end of Jan/ start of feb 😅

I’ve been pregnant since January 20th last year (had a MMC in April & pregnant again May) so it feels like the longest pregnancy ❤️ still feels so surreal in a way

RachLeeds · 22/01/2024 13:55

Hi ladies,

I have been lurking for a while and enjoy reading the messages so thought I should introduce myself and get involved. I’m due baby boy on 11/02/2023 but feel like I’ve dropped a lot and there’s a family history of babies coming at 38 weeks so we shall see! Hoping for a Feb baby though as I still have to finish the nursery!

LavenderSweetPea · 22/01/2024 14:53

Welcome @RachLeeds - you're due the day after me, and also I am expecting a boy :)

Also hoping he hangs on in until Feb. Are you still working?

Hankthehonk · 22/01/2024 14:57

@babythreeincoming good luck today! Another breech baby here, it's Monday I'll find out if my boy has shifted. I still haven't decided whether to accept ECV if he's still breech but leaning towards no

Hankthehonk · 22/01/2024 15:01

Hi @RachLeeds 👋

I'm only 35 weeks but already overthinking pains and twinges. I've got two weeks of work left, finishing up next Thursday, so I really hope I get a week or so of down time before baby arrives as we are not organised at all.
With my daughter I was beyond organised at this stage as she was my first and also it was covid times. I had repacked my hospital bag several times, pointlessly! With full time work, a three year old and normal life this time, not the same story for poor baby #2 🙈
He's got a car seat, some clothes and somewhere to sleep so I guess everything else will get sorted. But I'd love to just be nesting now like I did first time round.

RachLeeds · 22/01/2024 15:20

@LavenderSweetPea how lovely! 😊 I finished for mat leave last week. I honestly don’t know how women work up to their due date!

babythreeincoming · 22/01/2024 15:27

Well my boy is still breech! We've decided to do another scan a week today and go from there. I've not booked anything in and will give Spinning Babies a go. I can't see him moving 😅

amyg1985 · 22/01/2024 15:47

Sorry to hear that @babythreeincoming - how many weeks are you? My friend's baby turned herself at 39 weeks so you never know but I'm sure they'll look after us even if they don't turn.

Shrillwaffle · 22/01/2024 15:55

@AllAboardTootToot thankyou! I sent a request ☺️☺️☺️

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 im absolutely 💩 it tbh now it’s all so real I just hope I do the best job I can do 🥺 I’ll let you all know how it goes

and welcome to all the new people 👋🏻

babythreeincoming · 22/01/2024 15:58

@amyg1985 I'm 36 weeks today lovely!

Cheetocat · 22/01/2024 16:14

I don't know for certain if doing this was what helped but baby was still breech as I was approaching 35 weeks and I did lots of hip movement on the birthing ball and also spent a bit if times on all fours every night and a week later he had flipped

amyg1985 · 22/01/2024 16:48

@babythreeincoming I'm a week ahead of you. Not sure if an ECV would work for me anyway, since I think baby has been in and out of different positions so might not stay put even if it worked.

Sorry to hear you're being messed around @redxlondon - my experience of having baby in breech/otherwise malposition js that they always want to wait until the next appointment to make any plans, even though it feels quite late. However, if you want a Caesarian birth and have been asking for one regardless it's not really on that they haven't sorted it for you yet!
