Just had the sharpest round ligament pain ever, felt like a muscle was ripping! Ouch!

Also think baby has dropped or is engaged, it feels like his head is really down low in my pelvis and the pressure is intense, I've even leaked a bit of wee. He is moving a lot right now which I love but it's crazy feeling it that low down. I could feel his little hand in the vicinity of my right ovary!! My partner just headed out the door for a night shift and I told him to keep his phone on him. 😅

Mangotango39 · 19/01/2024 00:02

I went to a breastfeeding class with a lactation consultant and it was the worse. Made me feel more deflated and other ladies felt similar.

We were asking re pain etc and she just kept repeating 'if you have a good latch it won't hurt'

said we shouldn't use creams or anything.

ladies were asking practical questions about feeding from both sides or not etc and she just wasn't answering at all.

felt even more confused and have been really doubting BF ever since!

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX I had mine done a couple days, not as bad as I thought it would be. I normally wax myself but this obviously can’t see a thing to do it myself anymore! Honestly I felt tons better after having it done, I’d highly recommend, although it may be painful if you’re not used waxing down there

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 19/01/2024 05:40

@Clueless13 what position do they have you in for the wax? Is on all 4s seriously one of them?

LavenderSweetPea · 19/01/2024 06:26

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX you do usually need to either lie in your front spreading cheeks apart or on all fours in order to get all the hair off from round the back I'm afraid.

Being brutally honest pregnant or not a first wax is the most painful, your hair and it's roots will be thick. Once you go regularly the hair doesn't establish so well so it takes less effort to pull it out. Personally for the pain alone I wouldn't be going for a first wax so late in pregnancy but if you decide to go for it check with your waxer in advance if you can use numbing cream first because they are kind of greasy and could mean the wax doesn't adhere as well to the hair and then you'd have to relax the same area multiple times which wouldn't be ideal.

redxlondon · 19/01/2024 07:10

I go for waxing regularly, had my last one before delivery this week. I’ve NEVER had to go on all fours. Getting the back was really simple, rather than my front I just lay on my side and held one cheek up.

Sunshineclouds11 · 19/01/2024 07:23

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 18/01/2024 23:23

@Sunshineclouds11 you been serious? Thought I'd be laying on my back!? deffos won't be on all 4s with my arse in her face that is for sure! Sooner cancel appointment & try have 1 last shave! 😂

People I know who have had it all off have had to go on all 4s for their bum done.

Maybe just tell her you don't want to do that if possible to do it from your back like others have said?

Nemo145 · 19/01/2024 07:40

Morning ladies,
the no sleep struggle is real. I’m sooo tired but my body won’t let me sleep. I think I’m getting about 4 hours a night.
Had a scan yst, all ok, planned section next week due to having the stitch in and that needing to come out at the same time.
I was told not to start harvesting colostrum as it can start contractions which they don’t want me to have.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 19/01/2024 07:57

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX 🤣 this is hilarious!! It's optional to do the all fours at the end in a Hollywood. I did when I was preparing for something else other than ahem childbirth, but I wouldn't bother for this. You'll be on your back for most of it (or all of you specify)

Just take a paracetamol before like someone else said and it should be fine. A hot wax is not that painful, but the strips are I find.

Good luck! I did a half assed job myself, but luckily I can't see all of down there myself so I've no clue if it's awful 🙈

DmcinT · 19/01/2024 08:45

@Nemo145 I’m in next week also, on Friday 🥰 I actually can’t believe we’ve gotten this far along with the stitch.
what day do you go in? It’s so close now, have u bags and all packed? I think I’m sorted, just need to do one last run through of bags to double double check everything

Clueless13 · 19/01/2024 09:12

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX I've never had to go on all 4s, I let them know beforehand that I am 35 weeks pregnant and they booked in extra time to avoid rushing. I was firstly on my back and the on my left side and had ti hold my bum cheek up and that was it really, it took 20 mins in total x

Ihatewinding · 19/01/2024 09:46

Another option is hair removal cream? I've used it and not had any issues, no pain like waxing, no chance to cut self as not shaving, or have patches if you spread liberally all over? Obvs more short lasting than waxing and need to make sure rinse really well. Tbf I can't see that well either to say how looks but from cleaning and feeling about doing perineal massage I think I did an okay job 😂 I know you're not really meant to use it in the more intimate areas and probs defo not in pregnancy but worked well for me and used in both pregnancies.

Can't believe there's going to be some babies on here soon!

AllAboardTootToot · 19/01/2024 09:51

Have had to come to triage. Throbbing head last two days and and seeing little black spots. Praying it’s a migraine and not pre-eclampsia! Baby hasn’t moved much as usual on last two days either.

so easy to get worried 😟

@LavenderSweetPea @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @Clueless13 rather than message individually just want to say thank-you ladies for your replies and useful information you have given to me, makes me feel abit less nervous about it now tbh! Well I will be laying on my back regardless but didn't realise she would have to wax my bum? I don't have a hairy bum 🤦‍♀️🤣 at this literally clueless rate I'm going to be one of those first timers that struggle to hold a fart in if I needed one 😂 just won't eat or drink before I go i suppose that should solve that one! Haha

amyg1985 · 19/01/2024 09:56

Hope all turns out ok @AllAboardTootToot - you're in the right place x

LavenderSweetPea · 19/01/2024 09:59

Haha awww bless you @MummyTo4BoysXXXX no they don't wax your bum cheeks, just basically your butthole. It's part of a standard Hollywood or Brazilian wax. It's not hair you'd ever be able to see yourself (unless I suppose you're not pregnant and very flexible possibly) you do it so there won't be hair for other people who maybe see you from different angles. I'd say it's the part of a wax that hurts least but at the same time you definitely can just ask to not do that bit if you'd prefer, I'm sure plenty of people don't bother

LavenderSweetPea · 19/01/2024 10:08

This is actually making me nostalgic for my first wax all those years ago... I wasn't very brave I went for the standard bikini wax first time round and ended up having to shave more anyway 😂

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 19/01/2024 10:33

@AllAboardTootToot hope you're okay x

Sunshineclouds11 · 19/01/2024 11:37

Gardenfingers23 · 19/01/2024 11:57

@AllAboardTootToot hope you’re ok and get checked over soon. Always worrying. I popped down to my MW earlier in the week having similar but thankfully blood pressure looked fine and urine came back clear, think it was just the stress/anxiety triggering it. Hope you get the same all clear x

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 19/01/2024 12:56

@AllAboardTootToot hope you & baby are ok! Please update us all when you know anything, thinking of you both 💕 atleast your in the best place! x

AllAboardTootToot · 19/01/2024 13:05

Being kept in for ct scan as the headaches coupled with what they thought was carpal tunnel few weeks ago are bit suspect all down the one side.

wee one is fine, tracking ok so just need to get this checked. Hopefully just turns out to be a migraine but is a bit worrying as don’t think it’s a routine check. Been admitted to the ward now.

Thanks for all well wishes girls ❤️
