Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

I’m 5ish weeks today, and just realised my usual vitamins have vitamin a in that I’ve been taking every day, or whenever I can remember, and now I’m slightly panicking 😫 have I done a bad thing??

snowitall · 31/12/2023 18:52

We are going out! My DH is making himself an espresso martini and I am looking on forlornly. I would love to be staying in but I I am the one who organised the night out so don’t want to let anyone down. It’s just 5 of us so we have decided we’ll let it slip - mostly so my mates don’t think I’m lame and will be understanding if I slip way at 12.01 or perhaps before 😂

I have a scan booked at the EPU tomorrow to check for ectopic - will be my first NYD non hungover since age 17 and definitely my first with an ultrasound wand up my vag 😅

The last sentence 😫😂

TallulahTaboo · 01/01/2024 07:33

@snowitall got my fingers crossed for you 🤍

MrsB2019x · 01/01/2024 09:06

Brilliant lines and digital @MrsB2019x !! 😍😍😍 how many weeks/DPO are you?

My line isn’t so strong, not sure if I need to worry or not 🥲. Does anything think this is normal for 5+1 weeks, or 19dpo? I’ll have ovulated 3 weeks ago on Wednesday

Anxiousfirstpregnancy · 01/01/2024 10:40

Mine was like this at 3 weeks. I tested at 4 weeks and was really strong (the day my period was due). Good luck xx

Lemonyfire · 01/01/2024 10:44

@3ornotto3 Mine are like this and I’m 4+4 , from my obsessive extensive research I’ve concluded it’s quite normal to have varying lines of strength and it doesn’t really mean anything! So after taking approximately a million tests I’m going to stop now!

MrsB2019x · 01/01/2024 11:07

@3ornotto3 I’m 4+5/19dpo. From looking on here I’ve never seen particularly dark lines on the tests you’re using (don’t know what brand they are) but it’s a decent solid line! Maybe get a weeks indicator digital if it’s worrying you?

emmatcc1 · 01/01/2024 11:31

@3ornotto3 I think it’s just the brand you’re using. I had much darker line on a clear blue than a cheap test. It also makes a difference when the baby implanted.

@3ornotto3 only high doses of vit A could potentially cause harm. You still need a certain amount of it though so I wouldn't worry. I would just change to the pregnancy vitamins now.

snowitall · 01/01/2024 12:04

Darn, unfortunately it’s ectopic! I had a feeling and grieved a few days ago so I’m feeling okay, my DH however fainted in the room - great support 😅. Wishing you September ladies all the best and hope to join you soon! Xx

WolfMother326 · 01/01/2024 12:18

@snowitall I'm so sorry to hear this. Sending love.

Wanderlust86 · 01/01/2024 12:23

@snowitall I'm so sorry 😞

YellowZ · 01/01/2024 12:30

Aw fuck @snowitall how are they treating it? So sorry to hear this. I've had an ectopic too.

Quite funny your DP fainted though. In a way.

MrsB2019x · 01/01/2024 13:22

@snowitall I’m so, so sorry 😔 there’s a TTC after ectopic group on the conception board that @YellowZ set up, come join us when you’re ready. Sending you lots of love xx

3ornotto3 · 01/01/2024 14:56

Thank you @emmatcc1 @MrsB2019x @Lemonyfire @Wanderlust86 @Anxiousfirstpregnancy ❤️❤️ digital it is then! I’ll grab one on my way home in a minute.

@snowitall - how are you feeling? I enjoy your spirit and morale through messages, you always seem so bubbly and bright, so I hope you’re okay? 🧡

MudandMoet · 01/01/2024 15:03

@snowitall 😢 sorry it's ectopic, did you have pains to know this before your scan? Hope you're okay and when ready I hope you manage to conceive again quickly.

@WolfMother326 how's everything with you, all still okay and no more spotting?

WolfMother326 · 01/01/2024 16:32

@MudandMoet thanks for checking in. So far no more spotting! So maybe it was just implantation bleeding and cramping after all, though I never had that with my first two pregnancies (1 normal, 1 miscarriage).

I am definitely swinging wildly between feeling positive and a lot of anxiety. We're leaving for 3 weeks for a trip to the US on the 11th to see my family. I think I'm going to try to be seen by the EPU before we go so I can know it's all OK and ask if they think I should be on progesterone- they mentioned it when I miscarried in September.

TallulahTaboo · 01/01/2024 17:07

@snowitall so sorry to hear this. I'm hoping you're doing as well as you can during this 🤍

Fawklight · 01/01/2024 17:09

Finally getting an early scan after convincing my husband. Saturday at 13

Kate543 · 01/01/2024 17:31

I would love to get an early scan but they are expensive and I am planning on getting a private nipt at 10 weeks so have to wait!
hope all goes well on Saturday @Fawklight :)

@snowitall im so sorry to hear, sending you all the virtual hugs x

snowitall · 01/01/2024 17:39

Thanks for all your kind messages everyone, they really do mean a lot. I might do a post to share my experience over on the conception board rather than this happy thread as I want you all to celebrate and not be anxious and that way people can choose to read if they want to. Wishing everyone lots of luck and healthy, happy pregnancies xx

RoSco197 · 01/01/2024 18:10

@snowitall so sorry to hear this 💔. Hoping that the next steps go as smoothly as they possibly can for you. Take care of yourself ❤️

MudandMoet · 01/01/2024 22:26

@WolfMother326 brilliant, definitely will have been implantation. It would be lovely if you can get an early scan before your trip, let us know if you do manage to.
