How old were you when you had your first baby

Hi all, 26 and just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant. Recently brought a house with my other half, both in stable jobs and been together over 7 years.

Just curious to know how old were you with your first? Did you experience any judgement?

I'll be 39 and the only judgement I'm aware of is mild disapproval from my gran because I'm not married.

21 year old single mum plenty of judgement. But I'm a medical professional now with my own house etc. DS has done very well too and is just about to buy his first home.

Don't officially have any children, had 2 late term m/c's at 19 then at 21 and experienced lots of judgement that added to the stress of it all. Now mid/late 20's with a knew partner and really wanting to try again

I was 22, husband was 23. My mum didn't think it was a good idea because I'd "only been married 6 months"

32, married and owned a flat and most people's first comment was "OMG on PURPOSE?!" 😂

Not exactly judgement, but people were shocked. Guess I didn't seem like the type.

First time I was pregnant I was 26 but I had a MMC with that pregnancy. First baby was born when I was 28, didn’t experience any judgement but despite being a very normal age to have a baby I felt like a teen Mum and I was worried people would judge (ridiculous I know)!

Sorry to hear that. And I feel the same, I feel so young, I know I am young but it seems like the right time! Worried about judgement but I don’t think they will last long.

26 when I had my first. None of our friends or colleagues at a similar level kids yet.

But I wouldn’t say there was any judgement though. We were married, owned a home and I had completed all my professional exams.

I was 26. It was over 30 years ago now but I do recall being told by the midwife that I was "a little old for a first baby" ....my how times have changed.

19 and no judgement that I was aware of at the time. My son is incredibly bright and described as a lovely boy by everyone who comments on him to me ❤️

I was 22 when I had my twin girls. 30 now and don't plan on having anymore 😊
