for Donbeam , Scully, and Kate.
My thoughts are with all three of you, even though your scenarios are so different.

Divedaisy, thoughts to you aswell. Agree with Dondons comments.
We are here to support you. let us know how you get on.

divedaisy · 30/03/2008 20:33

HI DonDons - thanks for your kind words! The one thing that's absolutely sure - there are no absolute symptoms! It would be so nice if it was - it'd be a lot easier! Anyhow, the cramping seams to be easing off a bit now, and the staining hasn't marked my pad. I really only notice it when I go to the loo (Sorry TMI!!) I hate needing to go to the loo - always waiting a huge gush or something. I've become a paranoid KC!!
Heartbeat's on then I'm switching over to Casulty 1907, then bed wiith my book. that's my evening sorted - well rested!

divedaisy · 30/03/2008 20:35

Hi Oblomov - I recognise you from Due Nov thread - how are things with you? That thread is so busy, I've got lost with who's who!

Oblomov · 30/03/2008 20:41

Hi Divedaisy, I too recognise you from theNov 08 thread, and have posted there. Just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you.

I am o.k. Paranoid about my pains that are better, than they were. I have a scan tomorrow - at my crap local hospital, my 7 week scan. I had one done on thurs at Kings, but it seems sensible to do the tomorrow one aswell.

scully · 31/03/2008 03:06

Back from my hospital appt, hcg levels have dropped from 22000 to 17000 so they are reducing slowly, finally. They have given me the choice of an erpc or waiting for it to happen naturally. I've decided to wait this week to see what happens, and will go back for another blood test on Thurs and another gynae appt on Fri, and I'll decide what to do based on those blood results, if nothing has happened in the meantime. Dr said if my levels had reduced by around half, then nature is taking it's course, if hcg has only reduced by 1000 or so, then it might have plateaued and I should think about an erpc.
Actually don't feel too bad, nice to have some answers and see my results doing something they should be, for the first time in 3wks. Once I have m/c, dh and I are keen to try again, I don't feel the emotional need to wait 3-4mths like I did last time.
Hi DiveDaisy, I remember you from the Nov08 thread. I've been avoiding that thread for the last couple of weeks, until I knew exactly what was happening. Sorry to hear things are up in the air for you, hopefully you'll have some good answers soon.
Hi to everyone else

Oblomov · 31/03/2008 06:54

Hi Scully, I too recognise you from the Nov 08 thread, which I too have been obstaining from until I knew what was going on with me.
I am so sorry Scully. How very sad.
My heart goes out to you. I didn't know whether to have an ERPC either, but in the end, I decided to. The waiting previously, for weeks, like you, had been unbeaarable and I just wanted it all to be over.
Our hugs to you. Once you wake up from your 3am post ! Big hugs.

perkypopsy · 31/03/2008 09:24

Morning ladies
scully so sorry to hear your news
Ellie better get stretching - friends delighted in telling me their birthing stories on friday - was enough to make me want an elective cesarean ughhhhh - they said it was better for me to know the truth - I am not so sure
Snuck off for a last minute NT scan on friday - best £95 ever spent - half an hour of watching minipops jump around all over the place . They couldn't get any blood out of me annoyingly - have crap veins and low blood pressure - was just glad to see it was alive to be honest
Anyway have officially brought some maternity clothes and quite a nice moulded cup bra from marksies - VERY exciting!
Spent weekend glowing and getting excited. Just need these pesky sickness symptoms to bugger off and I can enjoy myself yipeeeee
Hope you all had a gorgeous sunny time yesterday - my freckles are officially out

divedaisy · 31/03/2008 10:44

Good Morning Ladies. Sorry to hear your newsScully, but I think you're coping with it really well. If it comes to it today for me, I will be in the same frame of mind - acceptance...and then try again. Bless you girl!xx

Oblomov, thinking of you this morning too - hope you get the news you're after.

I'm just popping in quickly to say I'll be leaving in 15 mins to go and get this scan done. I don't realy know if I feel preg any more or whether it's all just nerves! Boobs are a bit sore, and I feel sick (nerves). Tummy cramping still and there still is brown gunk lurking in my vag, but not quite making it to my pad.

OK I'll let you know how I get on. for any of you that have any faith - please say a prayer for me. Ta xx

p2b · 31/03/2008 10:57

Kate

Just to say I will be thinking of you at 5.30 today.

OK Just back home from EPC. I got a vag US done and the sac is still there, but now has a foetal pole which wasn't there last time. So that is good news! Measuring 74mm, and 6+3 (or 4 - not realy sure). No heartbeat seen - which going by some of your experiences isn't really something to worry about. I'm just relieved that it's still there. I've to go back on Friday 4th, so I'll just have to wait and see.
The midwife nor the sonographer were able to tell me if the cervix was closed - i don't know how hard it is to tell, but I did ask if there were any signs I was having a MC. Also they didn't think it was necessary to repeat bloods as the hormones rise very quickly, but fall slowly so it wouldn't be absolute.
I just have to wait it out. It's not an exact science, so noone can predict what is happening.
So I'm away to do nothing for the rest of the day - put my feet up and reee-laxxxxx! Mind you it's hard to chill when it's all I can think about. I don't want to do housework to occupy myself in case it makes things worse! I think I'll eat, read a book, or watch Lord Of the Rings - that'll keep my busy for a few hours!

Kate, I've just read to catch up on your story. Just to let you know my thoughts are with you too. xx

smilesattheweekend · 01/04/2008 09:02

Major wobble today, woke up and went to the loo and had brown stuff on loo paper. Have phoned in sick.

My DH is away all day on a training course so on my own. Have called the EPU and they have got me in for a scan at 10.30 so will have to go on my own.

Had lots of MS yesterday so hoping it is just a bleed and nothing to worry about but had 4 mc before. I had a scan last week and saw the hb, but last year I also had a scan with a hb then went on to mc.

Would rather know if it has gone asap, I work full time and noone at work knows, so it is so hard to sit in a roomfull of people wondering whether you have started to bleed more, also have to get public transport to work and don't want to have a problem in front of a load of strangers IFSWIM. Sorry I am rambling a bit. Just made a cup of tea and trying to calm down for a bit before I get ready to go.

Smiles Sorry to hear about your scare this morning, but good that you've got a scan booked so quickly. Sorry there's nobody to go with you at this nerve-wracking time. Fingers crossed it's nothing and you'll come away reassured. Will be thinking of you. It's understandable that you're very worried given your previous history of mc. Please let us know how you get on and try to relax (as much as possible - not easy I know )...

smilesattheweekend · 01/04/2008 09:32

Thanks Cricri. Will try and relax. Will be glad when I have been for scan, just feel in limbo at the moment. Tried to get hold of DH but then decided against telling him yet as I don't want him to worry especially when he can't get home quickly.

Will keep you posted, MN is the only place I can talk to other people who know what is going on.

Thinking of you smiles, and keeping evrything crossed. Sorry you are on your own though.

So many people to be thinking of on this thread at the moment. Anyone remember a time when they assumed it would be easy to have a baby???

Hi, thanks for all your kind messages. Can breathe a sigh of releif. Tidgy has grown from 6mm last wednesday to 14mm today and still has its heartbeat!! No reason found for bleeding. I bled when I had my son (up to 16 weeks)as well as 4 mc so on one hand I think it is normal, and on the other, I lost all the pgcys at this stage (except for DS obviously).

JustJules, I did speak to the nurse and she said, like you have, that the heparin can cause a bleed but won't cause a mc. They did say to take it easy, don't lift anything or overdo it so will stay at home today, have to pick DS up at 5.30 so have a while to laze about! There is a pile of ironing and the house is a tip but I am not going to be tempted!!!!!

On a good note, I felt so ill yesterday and still feel sicky today so I can only assume from that my hormones are still on a high! I have another picture of tidgy which looks loads bigger than last week.

I still get to keep my appointment next wedesday so I will have to just carry on taking one day at a time. DH is coming with me to that one - should be 8.5 weeks!!

Thanks for being there you lot!!!!

(breathes sigh of relief)

Thanks. I am on sofa, just deciding what to have for lunch - can't decide - just know it has to consist of carbs carbs carbs.

We bought a new sofa last year (after having our old one for 13 years!), had a lovely one which reclines - the back and legs bits move and it is soooooooo lovely - will spoil myself this afternoon on it!

makecakesnotwar · 01/04/2008 13:38

Great news smiles....now become best friends with your sofa (doesn't sound like that will be hard- very envious!!)

smilesattheweekend · 01/04/2008 13:41

oooh makecakesnotwar - have always been buddies with a bit of italian leather!! sounds posh but I am certainly not posh!!

Sat here, just watching a DVD - thought I would as I never ever ever ever get the house to myself - Calendar Girls.

Just worrying at every twinge and pain, putting it down to growing pains and trying not to worry - has anyone else been having sharp pains and the like - I really can't remember what it was like when I had DS - it was over 5 years ago.
