Hello ladies!! I feel like I've forgotten someone but not sure who?!

@tlw14 Oh no sorry to hear you're struggling so much but agree it's a good sign! Not long at all til your 12 week scan then, I'm sure you will feel much more reassured after that!

@Amberellaella Haha ah yes of course, I forgot just how many crappy symptoms there actually are! 🤣 but still, at least you've got some nice new boots!!

Had another private scan today... 10 weeks exactly and saw baby wriggling around 🥰 I have also been told today that a scan at 10 weeks is just as good as a scan at 12 weeks in terms of confirming viability, which I found very reassuring!

Great news @Kewchoc! Fingers crossed I see the same on my scan tomorrow x

Kewchoc · 18/12/2023 10:58

@Amberellaella What time is your scan today? Looking forward to your update 🥰

Amberellaella · 18/12/2023 11:03

Had my last private scan today - baby still growing nicely, has a good strong heartbeat and is enjoying a good wriggle ☺️

Amberellaella · 18/12/2023 11:10

Oops, think we cross-posted there @Kewchoc!

Kewchoc · 18/12/2023 11:12

@Amberellaella Oh yeah haha! Aww that's fabulous 🥰 isn't it amazing watching them wriggle around?! Did you say your 12 week scan is on the 2nd? I'm feeling quite excited for my 12 week one now, the anxiety is definitely starting to wear off a bit, are you finding the same thing?

OP posts:
Amberellaella · 18/12/2023 11:19

It was! She did a little jump and it looked like she was trying to do a backflip, she also gave us a wave.

Yes, the anxiety is definitely starting to lift. Had my bloods taken for the NIPT today as well, so if they come back Ok (hopefully before Friday) then I might actually allow myself to start getting excited ☺️

Though obviously I have already started thinking about names 😂

Agathapoirot · 18/12/2023 17:23

Ah love this update! It’ll be such a lovely way to start the year off with some dating scans!

We told family this weekend and there were lots of tears! Feel a little anxious that it’s out there now, but keep telling myself that if it goes wrong, it would anyway, and we had to tell people at some point!

My 16 week appointment is 8th January so not long to wait and I’ll hear the heart beat with the Doppler 🤞🏼

Amberellaella · 18/12/2023 17:46

Awwww, @Agathapoirot that’s so lovely - I bet everyone was thrilled.

Feels nice that we’re all going into Christmas on a positive note.

Amberellaella · 18/12/2023 17:48

Speaking of which @SnookyPook isn’t your scan this week? How are you feeling?

SnookyPook · 18/12/2023 20:23

@Amberellaella thank you, yes it's on Thursday. I'm really nervous tbh. Really not sure what I'm expecting 😌 after 3 losses this year I'm struggling to hope. Just trying to keep busy in the run up and then we'll see what Thursday brings xx

Ingridika · 19/12/2023 10:02

Had my 12 week scan yesterday (at exactly 11 weeks) and was put 2 days forward! All is well 💕 baby was moving non stop 😃

Amberellaella · 19/12/2023 14:08

Great news @Ingridika.

Will be thinking of you on Thurs @SnookyPook. Just remember that there’s no reason to think anything could be wrong so it’s more than likely all is well ☺️

Kewchoc · 20/12/2023 10:44

I haven't checked the thread in a couple of days, but I'm loving all of these lovely updates 🥰 agree that it's lovely to be going into Christmas on such positive notes!

Just wondering, does anyone else have a retroverted uterus? I apparently do, and have been told it will probably flip forward by 12 weeks but just wondering whether anyone has any experience with it? I never had it with ds so I'm wondering if it's due to previous c-section! I've had some very mild cramping yesterday and today so I'm hoping it could be the start of it moving forward!

OP posts:
SnookyPook · 20/12/2023 12:13

@Kewchoc they casually mentioned to me quite late into my last pregnancy (or possibly after?!) That I had a retroverted uterus. It didn't affect my pregnancy at all. Have spoken to many others who've said the same. It's just a bit of an anatomical quirk but doesn't seem to cause issues. X

Agathapoirot · 21/12/2023 12:29

@SnookyPook - hope your scan today goes well!

SnookyPook · 21/12/2023 14:59

Thanks everyone for the well wishes - there is a little Baby in there with a strong heartbeat ❤️ I burst into tears when they told me!

Measuring a week behind what I thought but they didn't seem worried. Also, I am pretty sure I ovulated later than usual (wasn't tracking) because we only dtd CD17 and 19 and usually my peak opk is CD13/14. So hopefully that's not too much of a worry. Really trying to enjoy this positive moment. Still a long way from feeling safe as my MMC stopped developing at 7+5... But one day at a time. Right now, in this moment it's all as good as can be. Not ectopic. Not nothing there. So, more good news on the thread for Christmas 😊

Amberellaella · 21/12/2023 17:57

Awwwww, congratulations @SnookyPook. That’s fantastic news ☺️ x

Agathapoirot · 21/12/2023 18:01

Great news!!

Kewchoc · 21/12/2023 20:58

@SnookyPook Aww that is wonderful news, so happy for you 🥰 we really are a lucky little thread! X

Got my NIPT test results through - baby is low risk for all conditions tested (including Downs) and it turns out that she, is in actual fact, a he!

SnookyPook · 22/12/2023 16:14

@Amberellaella aw wonderful news! Hehe hope that's not thrown you too much that Babba is a he! My DS is just wonderful - I adore being a boy mamma 🥰

Kewchoc · 22/12/2023 17:42

@Amberellaella oh that's fab news, and what a surprise! I didn't realise that the NIPT testing confirmed gender but how lovely, I think it makes it feel so much more real when you know whether it's a boy or girl! I also second what @SnookyPook has said, being a boy mum is great (and also slightly chaotic!)

OP posts:
Amberellaella · 22/12/2023 17:53

@Kewchoc yep - they sequence the genome which obviously also shows the gender, and if you opt in then they tell you ☺️

@SnookyPook It is a surprise! I was sure it was a girl! But a nice one because now I get to experience parenting both genders and DH is chuffed because he always wanted a son.

Amberellaella · 22/12/2023 17:59

@tlw14 haven’t heard from you for a while. How are you getting on with the sickness?
