Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

Hi all :) I’m currently 7 weeks and due mid July. Feeling quite nervous today as the few symptoms I’ve had seem to have gone. I had sore boobs and occasional food aversions/queasiness previously but I woke up today feeling completely normal. I am tempted to go for an early scan next week as I don’t think I’ll get the 12 week scan until after Xmas and I don’t think I can stand to wait that long 😂 wondered if anyone else has felt the same in terms of lack of symptoms or fading symptoms? I’m going to see how I feel over the next few days. It’s my first pregnancy and I tend to overthink when it comes to general health/symptoms! But something does feel quite off today.
Not told anyone yet other than my partner of course, so would be great to discuss all things pregnancy with a group of us :) wishing everyone luck for their upcoming appointments / scans!

chilliflakesmum · 28/11/2023 23:13

Oh @bringmearainbow Also 8+2 and today has been the worst day so far with the nausea too! 😭😭😭 hope it peaks for us soon 🙏

trebuvie · 28/11/2023 23:14

Just got out on a really fast-paced, high-pressure project at work. This is not lining up at all with my desire to have a lot of naps and a stress-free life! Just logged off work now at 11pm... Hope it isn't like this until Christmas!!

I spoke to my mum about this because I experienced the same, she said it will come back the next day with vengeance... and it did! Hope it doesn't come back to harshly - good days and bad days are normal x

Having a wobble tonight ladies. 6w along and I've felt consistently nauseous since 3w5days until today. I'm exhausted and have lower back pain but no sock feeling. I've also got very light pink discharge when I wipe this evening. Trying to ignore the anxiety....would any of you bother calling EPU? X

My midwife said if you get pain that doesn't go away with paracetamol then you should call the docs, light pink spotting is normal too for the first trimester

Blueberry1990 · 29/11/2023 07:42

Got my first appointment at the hospital this Friday, can't wait 😁
I will only be 5w4d so won't see anything on a scan but be good to speak to someone

Livingthechaoticdream · 29/11/2023 07:54

@Macccc try not to panic, with my previous pregnancy I had a scan at 6 weeks and they dated me 5 weeks with only a sac but nothing in it, they told me to come back two weeks later where they estimated I would be 7 weeks. I panicked the whole time then when I went back they changed my date again and said I was measuring as 8 weeks (back to the initial date I thought I was) pregnant, saw a clear baby and heartbeat. I think sometimes when we are very early it’s difficult to see as the baby will be so tiny. I had an external scan the first time then internal when I went back two weeks later xx

MrsHousePlant · 29/11/2023 08:10

@CMRC17 I experienced the same for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It really worried me the first time and I had a terrible day as a result 🙈 since then my symptoms come and go, some days are awful, some feel better so I’m now trying not to overthink and I’m just enjoying the better days where I have a bit more energy.

My symptoms are a bit all over the place anyway, I was sick for the first time this week and thought it was going to be the beginning of sickness, but it hasn’t come back again yet! Some days are nausea, some indigestion, fatigue, sore boobs. Pregnancy hormones send you all over the place!!

Macccc · 29/11/2023 13:07

@Livingthechaoticdream ok that’s reassuring thank you! It was an internal scan I had but def don’t think I’m as far along as what the sac was measuring. Fingers crossed there’s a wee baby and heartbeat when I go back!

Nocoffeenotalkie · 29/11/2023 14:45

My symptoms (except being quite bloated) seem to have vanished today. I don't feel pregnant at all really. Got my booking appointment through for next week. I'll be 7+3 at that point...might see if they will scan me. Don't know if they will on request. I checked my period tracker and I only had red blood on one day and 4 days of spotting so may not have been a real period.

MummyBear2519 · 29/11/2023 16:28

I’ve got a private 8 week scan tomorrow and today I have been in such a panic. I never felt anxious in previous pregnancies but for some reason today I’m really overwhelmed.
I don’t think it helps I’ve been really poorly the last 5 days with a cold/ cough so lack of sleep not helping.
Will an 8 week scan be an external one?

bringmearainbow · 29/11/2023 17:03

@MummyBear2519 they will likely try and see externally at 8 weeks and if not clear enough go for internal. Hope you feel better soon it's rubbish when you feel poorly on top of everything pregnancy 😢

Joining! Anyone else absolutely exhausted?

I'm 5 weeks, due at the end of July and just want to sleep all day. Work is all suddenly urgent and I'm struggling sometimes just to stay awake. I've been getting a few headaches, is that normal?

I think maybe I just need some sleep. Can't wait for the end of the year!

Wise0wl · 29/11/2023 19:37

Hi everyone, I’m nervously joining after lurking for a while, having had a MMC in July. I have DS age 3 who is currently refusing to go to sleep! I’ve had two scans at EPU due to spotting caused by a subchorionic haematoma, and today was prescribed progesterone. I’m around 7.5 weeks. Hope you’re all doing ok - any tips on staying positive and feeling less anxious from those who’ve had a loss before would be very welcome! I’m just trying to stay busy at the moment.

CMRC17 · 29/11/2023 19:43

@pleasehelp5 thanks for your kind words, I think I was just extra emotional yesterday and was shocked at how normal I was feeling! The queasiness feeling is back just ever so slightly today, still feeling normal other than that but feeling more positive about the situation.

@MrsHousePlant reassuring to know there is others in the same boat! My biggest symptom so far has been aversions / queasiness but even that doesn’t feel that strong at the moment. But I know if it does get stronger I’ll want it to go back to the way it is now!! Just hoping the worst of it doesn’t come over Christmas , I’ll be gutted if I can’t enjoy my Christmas dinner 😂😂

CMRC17 · 29/11/2023 19:46

@Nocoffeenotalkie i had the same thing yesterday, just felt very off from the minute I woke up and felt very un-pregnant. I do feel a tiny bit more pregnant today though, sometimes I think these things can be played up in our head. I have my booking appointment next week as well, and I’m most likely going to book in a private scan for next week just for some reassurance. Let me know how you get along!

Charlie1863 · 29/11/2023 19:50

I was the same with lack of symptoms - I’ve had 3 miscarriages all with really strong symptoms pretty much from ovulation but im now 9 weeks and didn’t feel a thing with this one - no sore boobs or anything. Then I started to get sore boobs around 5 weeks and sickness around 6 weeks. Now it’s all in full swing! We had private scan at 7 weeks and they seen a heartbeat. I’d recommend going for another scan around week 7. Wishing you all the best xx

trebuvie · 29/11/2023 21:59

Eek I wasn't even worried about lack of symptoms and now I am. I was very tired over the weekend but broadly fine the last couple days. Hope all well. I've got both my booking appt and a private reassurance scan in mid-Dec - 8wks - telling myself there's nothing I can do so why stress about it, but somehow not able to fully get the worry out of my mind...

MummyBear2519 · 29/11/2023 22:21

@bringmearainbow thank you the illness had made it easier to hide my nausea and general tiredness at work so that’s helped.
I have my booking appointment on Friday so a baby few days
Anyone else constantly hungry? I was the same with my son and had to eat every 4 hours even through the night or I feel starving hungry and sick

trebuvie · 30/11/2023 11:30

@MummyBear2519 yes - I feel like I vary between no appetite at all and then the next day eating more than my partner...

Can someone reassure me. We live in a basement flat, the kind with outdoor stairs leading down to our patio. I never gave a thought to it but now I'm wondering what it would be like to have a baby?? Would I have to hold baby with 2 hands and not be able to hold the rail? What about the pram?? What if the stairs are slippery and I drop the baby???

(Maybe a silly consideration considering I'm like 6wks but just suddenly occurred to me!)

You won't need 2 hands to hold the baby, you'll be a pro in no time! Also you can use a sling etc - lots of options!

Tammy2603 · 30/11/2023 13:26

Hi everyone. I've been quiet on here but have been trying to keep on track! I'm 9 weeks 2 days today and after escaping any major symptoms, the nausea has kicked in over the past week. I can't seem to eat any meat and my gag reflex (with many things) makes me sick quite frequently. Also, it seems my morning sickness happens after lunch, when I feel exhausted!!! I have a daughter who is 7 and a son who is 5, and I am a childminder, so life is pretty hectic!

We opted for a private scan on Saturday.. just to put my mind at ease. Sadly in July even after a private scan we still miscarried days before my 12 week scan, but I'm trying to be optimistic this time.

I keep having dreams I'm having twins and I am a fraternal twin myself... I'm sure its just my body/mind tricking me but my symptoms are definitely heightened this time!

12 week scan is booked for 19th December so hopefully I'll have some good news for friends and family for christmas.

Has anyone had any other early scans? Hoping you are all feeling ok.

xx

MixedCouple · 30/11/2023 15:30

Welcome all the newbies! Not been here much as Nausea is kicking my butt. So unwell. And the fatigue. Have to admit been using Youtube Kids a lot with my 2yo. I just have 0 energy and qant to sleep.

6w3d today and I have been chasing for my booking apt still not call back been 2 weeks. Was told today I would get a call. I want to know dates as we travel to my parents for Xmas me at Friday. So they better book me in before Friday 😂 if not when I get bakc I will be 10w 4D.

With LO I got my 12w scan letter 1week before!!! They are very relaxed here and didn't want me to call until 8weeks!

bringmearainbow · 30/11/2023 15:49

I have a scan tomorrow I'll be 8+5 🙈 one more sleep! It's a nice early one too at 8.20 hopefully there's still a HB given all the crappy symptoms I've been getting it's a lot more than when I had my losses and more like my successful pregnancy 🤞🏼

missmoosh · 30/11/2023 15:53

@bringmearainbow good luck tomorrow!
5+4 today still no nausea or anything major symptoms wise. Really getting anxious now that I will get to my scan date and there won't be a HB. The fear is really taking over! It's booked for 7+5, so this is gonna be a hellishly long 2 weeks and 1 day!
