Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

Hi everyone, I am joining this chat I hope that's okay ☺️

I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant today after suffering 3 miscarriages and I am terrified!

I have a scan in 2 weeks time at EPU , I'm hoping this time it's my rainbow baby, I do feel different this time 🤞🏻🌈 Going by my dates I should be due 31st July.

I'm feeling sooooo tired and nausea has started to kick in, also feeling very dizzy at times.

chocaholic33 · 28/11/2023 11:57

Hi everyone I hope it’s ok for me to join!
Got my BFP on Sunday and think I am about 6+2 today - we have booked an early viability scan for next Monday when I will be just over 7 weeks going by LMP. This is DC3, a bit of a surprise pregnancy but embracing it all!

@Sunny192 hoping everything is ok this time, the symptoms sound promising (although not fun) & scan isn’t too far away even though it probably feels like forever!

I don’t have many symptoms at all but and feeling very frustrated with OH today for no apparent reason lol

xx

Summer244 · 28/11/2023 15:12

Hey everyone, been lurking for a few weeks but thought I’d make an account. I’m currently 8+6 and due right at the beginning of July. It’s my first pregnancy and symptoms have been awful for the past couple of weeks literally been sick every day! Has anyone received the date for their 12 week scan yet? I had my booking appointment a couple of weeks ago but still not heard

Oatmilktea · 28/11/2023 15:23

Congratulations to the newcomers on the thread 🥰

@Summer244 I was given my date of my 12 week scan when I booked my booking appointment but every health board will be different. I’ve heard of some booking the scan date at the booking appointment and others sending a letter following the booking appointment.

Luckily ive had my booking appointment brought forward from 11+5 to 9 weeks.

I’ve been feeling so nauseous the last couple of days. I will be spending around 7 hours in the car tomorrow for work, with someone who doesn’t know I’m pregnant yet and I am dreading it. I get motion sickness at the best of times. I will come armed with travel sickness bands, my trusty apple juice and so many snacks and hope I can get through it without feeling too sick!

appleandcheese · 28/11/2023 15:46

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing ok. I am 6+5, and the nausea has really kicked in the last couple of days. This is DC2 for me, my other little one is currently just 7 months old, so this pregnancy came as a bit of a surprise!

chocaholic33 · 28/11/2023 17:55

@appleandcheese my youngest DC is also 7 months old! We are going to have our hands full but will be amazing for them to grow up having a sibling so close in age!

appleandcheese · 28/11/2023 18:03

@chocaholic33 I am glad someone else is going to have the same madness as us! We really will have our hands full. We wanted 2 close together, but this js a little closer than I had planned! Are you still on maternity leave with your first?

EmmzRB · 28/11/2023 18:22

@Summertime1992 Hello! Yeah our hospital uses an app and I got a letter, my scan is booked for 11 Jan when I'll be 12 weeks + 5. 😊 The patience it will take to get there is unreal 😅🤣. Congratulations on your pregnancy hope you get your date soon.

EmmzRB · 28/11/2023 18:23

@susulikm I agree with you, gonna hold out for the 12 week scan, I'm too nervous the reassurance scan won't give me reassurance 😅.

Beth191 · 28/11/2023 18:26

Anyone had spotting at 7 weeks? I'm 7 weeks today and this evening had quite a lot of very light pink discharge when I wiped. I didn't have any spotting at all with my first so can't help but panic! I've not had my booking appointment yet but do have it booked so am on the midwives books already. I don't know if I should just leave it and keep an eye out for it getting worse or if I should contact GP or midwife in the morning? Anyone else had this?

Hukaduk1 · 28/11/2023 18:38

Hi everyone!
I have a history of loss and I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant. Had a scan today but its not made me feel any better as I'm too early to see anything!! Has anyone had similar?
Any tips for managing anxiety?! My symptoms are almost none existent too apart from sore boobs!

Due July 24
chocaholic33 · 28/11/2023 18:45

@appleandcheese yes still on mat leave! This will be my third (and final) but oldest is 10 years old so there is a bit of an age gap. Are you on mat leave still?

Savvy21 · 28/11/2023 18:52

@Beth191 I had spotting over the weekend at 7 weeks but had a reassurance scan booked so left it. If your worried see if you can get the GP to refer you to EPU. Mine was really good but it does seem to vary depending where you are.
@Hukaduk1 could they not see anything? Mine could only see a yolk sac at 5 weeks and 2 days.

appleandcheese · 28/11/2023 18:58

@chocaholic33 ah good. Yeah I'm still on leave too, going back in April. It feels a bit cheeky planning another maternity leave without being back at work yet. Lovely that you'll have 3.

Hukaduk1 · 28/11/2023 19:19

The lady could see a sac but said it was too early to see anything else. I wish I'd waited now I think I feel worse for having not seen a heartbeat 😢 I thought I was a few weeks ahead of what I actually am!

Macccc · 28/11/2023 19:30

Hi @Hukaduk1
I’m sorry your scans not given you much reassurance! It’s still so early and I believe quite normal not to see much!

I had a scan today because I’ve been having some right sided pain. I thought I was 5+2. They seen a gestational sac but nothing else, gestational sac was measuring at 6+1 but I really don’t think my dates are that far off! I’m panicking now as there was no yolk sac and if the gestational sac was measuring over 6 weeks there should be a yolk sac. I’m not really sure what to think!

I already have a scan booked for 11th dec when I think I’ll be 7+1 due to previous losses so it’s just a waiting game! When do you have a follow up scan?

wishing you all the best!

Hukaduk1 · 28/11/2023 19:37

@Macccc what did the person doing the scan say about lack of yolk sac? Did you have an internal? My follow up scan is not until the 19th December so I have 3 weeks to wait. I wish pregnancy was like the movies!!! It's a very anxious time especially if you've had previous losses. Keeping everything crossed for your scan on the 11th!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻😘

KM8 · 28/11/2023 19:45

Looking for a little advice, when I had my DD in 2020 I suffered with sciatica towards the end of my pregnancy. But I've got the same pain again and I'm only nearly 8 weeks, the pain is a sharp shooting pain in my right bum cheek and down my leg, it hurts to sit and sometimes even walking makes it the pain shoot up and down my bum & leg!

Has anyone else's had this, this early on? 😫

Macccc · 28/11/2023 20:02

She just said it could just be too early to see anything else. She said it’s a good sign that the pregnancy is progressing as there’s a gestational sac. But I’m still in panic mode🙈. Aww 3 weeks seems like such a long time, I’m not sure show I’m going to cope with the 2 weeks! The anxiety is something else! Thank you🥰

trebuvie · 28/11/2023 21:40

@Beth191 I'm 6wks and had one day of bright red spotting, although not very much. Bright red like Aperol Spritz red was my first thought! I haven't spoken to anyone. I have a reassurance scan anyway booked in for mid-Dec since we're planning to tell our parents over Christmas. I figured there's not really much I can do at this stage if it is something bad, literally haven't even had my booking appointment so there's not even really anyone to tell. Hoping it's okay though!

bringmearainbow · 28/11/2023 21:45

Hey ladies sorry I haven't kept up too well with this thread the last few days I've been feeling so rough 🤢 hello to all the new ladies 👋🏼 @Savvy21 so happy your scan went well 🥰 @User491 glad to be of service and you could relax a bit more ☺️ @Jess725 sadly ginger biscuits are a big no as I'm gluten free though I did find some gluten free ones in Tesco tonight I'm going to try tomorrow 🤞🏼 bet they won't be as good as the real deal though 😂

Those ladies that have had scans about 5 weeks it's really normal not to see anything around that time. Big hugs I know waiting for that next scan is really frustrating 🫣 you got this though 💪🏼

I'm 8+2 today and my god today has been the worst for nausea. Nothing is helping it and I'm forcing myself to eat because if I don't it gets even worse. I really wanted to call in sick to work it was so tough at times to pretend to be a normal functioning human. Also my sense of smell is through the roof I can smell everything even myself and it isn't good 😳

Having a wobble tonight ladies. 6w along and I've felt consistently nauseous since 3w5days until today. I'm exhausted and have lower back pain but no sock feeling. I've also got very light pink discharge when I wipe this evening. Trying to ignore the anxiety....would any of you bother calling EPU? X
