What have you got for your coming home outfit for your baby boy?

I haven’t found anything I like, I have been looking for a blue-ish babygrow and matching hat set, but haven’t had any luck and I only have 9 days to go until his arrival! …

Next do the best baby clothes

A baby grow

scrantonelectriccity · 22/10/2023 05:45

I wouldn't bother. Chances are he'll be sick on it or have a poo explosion requiring an outfit change before you walk out the hospital door. Don't get the obsession with special coming home outfits

A babygro. That is all babies need or should be wearing for at least the first few months. They just need to be comfortable.

All the snarky comments about ‘babies need a baby grow!’ are showing they clearly didn’t read the OP.

I have been looking for a blue-ish babygrow and matching hat set

She just wants people to share nice ones. 🙄

Totally agree. I've never understood the whole MN thing with babygrows... some people on here seem to think it's frivolous and unsuitable to wear anything else. I always found it easier with a vest and leggings!

It's exciting planning sweet clothes for your little one.

This was the question I answered, my child came home from hospital in a baby grow

JumbledE · 22/10/2023 06:09

I can't recommend zips enough. In the middle of the night nappy changes are made a million times faster! (3rd baby, 1st time using zipped baby grows!)

A babygrow. - no suggestions of pattern or design. Comes across snarky (but may not have been intended).

OP said she wanted inspiration and said she’s looking for babygrows. Nothing out there or impractical - just something nice to mark the occasion of bringing home her new baby. If that’s not something you wanted to engage in, there was no need to comment.

happylittlesloth · 22/10/2023 06:29

I'd look at next - they do lovely "born in 20xx" baby grows. Personally I'd stick with white. There's something particularly lovely about a newborn in a fresh white babygrow.

Best of luck

You don't have to get it. OP would like something nice to take her newborn home in. I'm sure she is aware of the risk of baby poo.

MrsRetriever · 22/10/2023 06:31

Mine had a lovely babygrow from Boden with yellow ducks on it. Matching hat and vest. A gift from his great-grandma who loved to see him in it.

This!

I’m the opposite 😬 looking for non blue baby grows. I’m a huge fan of Frugi, P.O.P (who have 20% off right now), Duns. Some Jojo maman Bebe ones are cute also.

idontthinkimunresonable · 22/10/2023 06:36

I just brought my baby boy home a few days ago. Had the same idea as you and had a lovely smocked baby gro picked out but actually ended up keeping him in the easy zip ones from pure baby.

I certainly wasn't intending to be snarky. OP wants a blue one. Telling her my DS came home in a navy blue Peter Rabbit babygrow 25 years ago probably wouldn't have been that helpful. Other posters were suggesting outfits, so my gist was stick to the babygrow.

OP said she wanted inspiration and said she’s looking for babygrows. Nothing out there or impractical - just something nice to mark the occasion of bringing home her new baby.

I know I can read

Well I replied so obviously I did want to engage and I don't require you to police me or my comments

This was aimed at the poster saying they didn’t get it.
