Thought I was feeling better this morning but no. I’m not sure at what point I should go to A&E for fluids, I must have kept something in last night as had a small wee this morning but otherwise 😣

@PartRadish i wouldn’t bother if you know the place already

Luhou · 19/11/2023 12:43

Anybody else getting regular braxton hicks, sharp pains? Started last night in my back and stomach tightening, went to bed. Then slept okay allbeit a bit uncomfy. Felt fine this morning now shooting like pains down below. Not sure if I should be worried? Induced last time round so never gone into natural labour.

Kirova · 19/11/2023 12:55

Sorry to jump in... I'm due on 26 January, my number 3, live in London 😊

I am worried I'm being a bit hypervigilant but does this sound familiar to anyone? Shooting lower back pains, numb bum, pains going down the legs? I feel ginormous this time and I guess I may just be a bit knackered and more past it than I was with numbers 1 and 2. But God, the pain!! Genuinely it's making walking quite uncomfortable and the numb bum means I sometimes can't tell when I need to go to the loo (sorry tmi!!).

I think if it's unusual for you, get it checked for peace of mind. But I definitely had this with ally pregnancies, from about 30 weeks. The pain might be ligaments, but I'd call and ask advice if you are worried.

Hummusanddipdip · 19/11/2023 13:20

@Kirova could be sciatica?

I'd go get checked @Luhou if it isn't normal for you.

@Mummyme87 no experience with dehydration, but if you're still struggling today, would a call to 111 help to put your mind at ease? Otherwise I'd go to a&e and see what they say.

Baby is very very much on the left today and is having fun pushing my waist out and giving me rib digs. Not enjoyable to say the least.

Almost finished washing all the clothes. Got a pile of whites and a pile of colours left, but not easy when I'm washing in bulk while trying to do regular household washing 🤣

TMI but is anyone suffering with bouts of constipation and then diarrhea? I can go 2 or 3 days without a bowel movement, then have a really uncomfortable poo and then the next couple of days are super soft/watery stools... it's only started in the past few weeks

@Mummyme87 Im so sorry you're feeling so rough. Im guessing you've tried tiny spoons of rehydration liquid? I'd call up and ask about the fluids, sounds like you def need some. And maybe some decent antiemetics.
So miserable, im so sorry

Luhou · 19/11/2023 13:49

Thanks ladies. I think I'll see how it goes this afternoon. Goint to try take it easy.

Mummyme87 · 19/11/2023 15:50

Thanks for all your well wishes, been in bed this afternoon and woken feeling much better. So hopefully turned a corner 🙏🏻

@Kirova sounds like sciatica with maybe a bit or pelvic girdle pain.

@Luhou if everything is otherwise well, I would take paracetamol and rest, maybe a warm bath followed by film on the sofa and see how you go.

MrsJ6921 · 19/11/2023 15:53

@Kirova sounds a lot like what I have especially the pain in the thighs/bum which is PGP. I would mention it to your midwife. I use a birthing ball to help

Luhou · 19/11/2023 16:19

Thanks @Mummyme87 seems to be better this afteenoon. Think I've just been overdoing it.

Mummyme87 · 19/11/2023 16:49

@Luhou yep it’s easy to forget and hard to slow down when you’re pregnant, the uterus is one massive muscle and doesn’t take much for it to start hurting.

FirstT1meMum · 19/11/2023 17:27

@Hummusanddipdip I've struggled with the toilet since day 1! I go from nothing for days then like you, it can be really uncomfortable (sometimes DH gets worried as I can be gone so long 🙈). Then I have some diarrhea then a day or so 'normal' then the cycle begins again! It's honestly a nightmare 💩

Kirova · 19/11/2023 17:53

@Mummyme87 and @Luhou glad you're both feeling a bit better today. It's horrible when you feel bad and you're not sure if it's worryingly bad or just rubbish bad, if that makes sense.

@Hummusanddipdip I have exactly the same, sympathies! I'll have a few days of being totally constipated and then diarrhoea or really loose stools for a few days, then back to the constipation and so on. I feel like it must be partly what I'm eating.

Thanks for the back pain tips. I'm thinking maybe it is more like sciatica than the other one because I get pains shooting down both my legs plus pins and needles / numb bum and round the pelvic area. It's quite disconcerting and the pain in my lower back is pretty excruciating at times (and I am not someone who feels pain badly, if that makes sense). I just pray it's not going to get worse because I'm already struggling with work and so on.

Luhou · 19/11/2023 19:12

@Kirova hope things are better for you soon.

Luhou · 19/11/2023 19:13

@Mummyme87 how are you feeling?

buckingmad · 19/11/2023 19:17

last few days I’ve had to resort to crawling by the evening my hips are so bad. Not helped by the fact I’ve had to muck out my horses stable twice a day whilst she’s on box rest with her infection but I’m hopeful she can go back out in her field Thursday plus I have physio Tuesday.

We’re in the final stretch guys!

Inmydreams88 · 19/11/2023 19:17

I’ve felt like crap all day, heavy uncomfortable bump, out of breath, burping a lot and feeling nauseas.

@Hummusanddipdip I alternative between pebble poo constipation and looser stools🙈

Mummyme87 · 19/11/2023 20:09

@Luhou my waking feeling brighter didn’t last very long, not vomiting but wretching a lot and feeling very sick. Must be keeping the bits of fluid in though as that amount doesn’t seem to be coming back out. I’ve called in sick for Tuesday aswell so got a few days to recover, hoping I get a good sleep and can eat tomorrow

Luhou · 19/11/2023 20:35

Sounds like we're all in the same boat with it now! It's absolutely naff.

I have been having more braxton hicks, but they're very on and off so not to worried but still very uncomfy.

I've got group physio tomorrow and scan Tuesday.

@Mummyme87 pleased you've got a few days to recover.

Dannic2018 · 19/11/2023 20:37

Aw sounds awful @Mummyme87 I can’t cope with being sick so total sympathy for you. Maybe get some rehydration sachets once you stop being sick.

my bump is so hard today and uncomfortable but I’ve been painting and trying to get the “to do list” smaller. I know it’s not important but I just want it done so when she’s here we can finally enjoy her and have family time. Every weekend has been doing the renovations so this last hurdle has to get done.

Is everyone eating more now ? My acid reflux is so bad despite taking Omeprazole and I’ve felt so sick that I’m forcing myself to eat practically. I definitely haven’t been eating for two and lost my appetite, which I worry about especially now it’s the time for her to fatten up

Mummyme87 · 19/11/2023 20:37

Hope the physio can help to everyone that has upcoming appts. Mine is on Friday. As I haven’t been walking much at all bar from bed to toilet since Friday night my pelvis is actually been okay. Have been able to lie on my side with no real issues!

Lilothblos · 19/11/2023 20:59

@Dannic2018 the reflux is awful isn’t it! I woke up spluttering last night because somehow a load of acid made its way into my mouth in my sleep 😷

Mummyme87 · 19/11/2023 21:02

@Dannic2018 I've been sipping on one sachet worth of rehydration sachet since 3.30pm 😬
Also don’t worry about not eating enough ‘for two’. Baby fattens up regardless of what you eat.

Dannic2018 · 19/11/2023 21:31

@Lilothblos I choke on the bugger most nights and the constant burping is unreal. It doesn’t even make a difference if I don’t eat late, I have it all day now. When I had my scan on Thursday as soon as I laid down it started and that was at 10am. Still taking my pre natal vitamins and iron tablets so some nutrients at least 🤣

@Mummyme87 that’s good because with the stress with my teenage son and a awful cough and feeling sick, food isn’t exciting me in the slightest

Kirova · 19/11/2023 21:41

Lilothblos · 19/11/2023 20:59

Ugh, sympathies! Last week I woke up at about 5 am feeling so sick and ended up puking up the most acidy vomit-bile for about 2 hours. It was so disgusting that it's put me off eating for about a week.

I breezed through my first two pregnancies (they're 4 and 5 now) with virtually no morning sickness, no effects beyond a few aches and pains, slept like a baby... This one I'm carrying really low, can barely walk, get heartburn from just looking at food and have to pee every 10 minutes. I'm a wreck! This must be the difference between pregnancy at 28 and 33... 🫣😀
