Ah thanks so much for your pram thoughts everyone, that's so helpful. Interesting that no two people here have got the same one, I guess that's just different circumstances + sooo much choice.

There isn't anywhere to "test drive" near us unfortunately which is a bit of a pain!

Sorry I haven't been able to catch up super random but does anyone else have a sore cervix? I am presuming its that anyway never felt it before but hurts when she moves sometimes presuming she is punching me in it lol and feel it when im stood up for a while too. Gonna ask my midwife in 2 weeks but just wondering if its just me!

Also just felt hiccups for the first time and my husband felt them on the outside too 🥹

Aww what do hiccups feel like? How long do they last? People keep telling me they felt their babies hiccup but so far I haven’t felt it yet, anyone else?

Lilothblos · 15/11/2023 19:28

@WitcheryDivine we’ve gone for the Uppababy Vista V2. Pros: massive basket underneath, sturdy and good for rough terrain, can convert to a double if we have a second child, stands up on its own when collapsed. Cons: one of the heavier and bulkier options.

RG9895 · 15/11/2023 19:30

@Inmydreams88 I'm 32+1 and first time feeling properly and tbh if I wasn't paying attention I don't think I would have noticed! They were very light, they lasted a few minutes I think and just like a little heart beat in there but slower is the only way I can explain it haha she is head down so was very low down in my bum almost 😂😂 could see the tiniest bounces from the outside too!

EL27 · 15/11/2023 20:03

@WitcheryDivine We ended up getting an iCandy Orange. Fell in love with the iCandy Peach when demoed to us in Mamas and Papas store. But price was like £1500+ for the bundle! Ended up doing more research online and found the Orange which is basically slightly older model but not much difference apart from aesthetics for SO much cheaper.

Everyone wants different things from a Pram but ours has ability to make in to a double, build in buggy board, approved safe for overnight sleeping, generous basket space and ability to raise pram/flip different ways and angles. Only cons are it is bulkier than some other prams but I quite like it as feels sturdy and long lasting.

Surprisingly found it cheapest on Amazon as it was reduced from £999 to £494 plus used my 15% off that you get with making a baby wishlist on Amazon. So down to £420!
Also got the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix i-size car seat as we liked that one after seeing it in store and also attaches to the Pram base if we ever need that feature.

Honestly worth doing a lot of research online and in stores to see what you want and to also get the best deals 😏😂

@RG9895 @Inmydreams88 I've been feeling hiccups a lot recently too. It's like a rhythmic pattern, almost like a heartbeat and I also feel it quite low down, which I quite like as I know he's still head down 😅

I asked midwife about it last appointment and she said its common to feel them around this time and is normal baby behaviour. I wouldn't worry about not feeling them though as long as your still feeling baby moving around.

FirstT1meMum · 15/11/2023 20:18

Thank you everyone for your replies- definitely going to start eating less but more frequently I think as I've also been feeling a little bit sick!

@WitcheryDivine we went with the oyster 3 bundle as it was the lightest and the one I found the least complicated to collapse!

I think I've been feeling hiccups but until you all described it I had no idea what they were! Literally feels like a quick succession of really small taps low down so guessing it's hiccups as she's always been bum up in my ribs at appointments 🤣

Mummyme87 · 15/11/2023 20:40

I haven’t felt any hiccups yet actually, both the boys used to have them occasionally.

I’ve set my pram up! Was super excited. Really happy with it

Gremlin84 · 15/11/2023 21:04

Last couple of days have been really difficult with PGP. Feels like someone is stabbing me in my right hip after any sort of walking or if I accidentally stretch my hamstring/glute or twist. Until this week it’s only been occasional and soothed by rest or gentle walking it out, but really intensified since hitting 31 weeks. Emailed antenatal to see if they can get one of the midwives to refer me to the pelvic health people, definitely can’t go on like this - was basically crying by the time I got home after work after a short walk from the station.

Mummyme87 · 15/11/2023 21:45

@Gremlin84 its really debilitating isn’t it. I had to stop every 10mins today on the high street today, PGP and Shortness of breath. Hopefully you can get a physio appt soon

Mummyme87 · 15/11/2023 23:27

I’m really struggling with SPD in bed at night, it’s only bad at the start of the night, usually takes 3 or 4 attempts to get comfortable meaning I have to stand up and realign every time, tonight though 😣 I just can’t get comfortable. And my eldest is vomiting just to top it off

buckingmad · 16/11/2023 06:12

I’ve booked a private physio appointment. I’ve had so many falls off horses my pelvis is probably screwed anyway let alone adding pregnancy to the mix. It’s getting up that is the worst part for me, feels like everything is going to give way. Mg short walk from the bus to the office is getting very hard and where it used to take 5 mins it now takes 10-15! Then I’m on the 2nd floor of an old listed building so no lifts 😭

Luhou · 16/11/2023 06:17

Also struggling with Pelvic pain. It is super painful when I wake up and at night. Then in the afternoon @buckingmad spent my youth falling of horses also!

I have a really long work day today, got an event 2hrs away. Colleague driving thankfully. Unprofessional to nap in the car? 🙈🙈🙈

lilluce95 · 16/11/2023 09:37

Also suffering with PGP it's not nice at all, I find walking helps relieve it a little bit but then it hurts more when I relax at home, double edged sword!

lilluce95 · 16/11/2023 09:38

My GTT came back negative last week but had a call from the hospital yesterday and I've been referred to do another one as my urine tested positive for glucose - I had eaten jam on toast the morning of the urine sample, would that have affected it? 😟

FirstT1meMum · 16/11/2023 09:59

Long post warning - apologies in advance, feeling very emotional this week!

Just come from my second growth scan and feeling rather mixed! My first was a positive experience and straight forward. This was positive in terms weight was never mentioned and baby is growing perfectly 🥰 However my blood pressure was ever so slightly raised (when I did point out I usually have the bigger cuff it came back down to 134/82). Then I saw the consultant who was very positive to start and she said babys growth is perfect. Then she asked if the sonographer had said they were concerned...Well I think the look on both our faces said everything she needed to know! She said apparently they were a bit worried babys heart rate seemed a touch slow at 110bpm. She said it could be because she was growing now but I needed to keep a close monitor of movements (which I do anyway). This has sent my anxiety into overdrive as I now am on edge something could be wrong and I won't realise 😔 she also then measured my blood pressure again after telling us this then said oh that's a bit higher 🤦🏼‍♀️ Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience or anything? She listened to the heart beat again and said she was happy but idk what that even means anymore. They've booked me another scan in 4 weeks. Feeling very emotional!
Sorry for the long rant!

Mummyme87 · 16/11/2023 10:34

I’m sorry your appt didn’t go aswell as
you had hoped and you have a lot of anxiety now. Normal fetal heart rates are 110-160bpm, usually being at the higher end earlier in pregnancy and lower end at term, however that’s ‘average’ and of course there are always variations of that. Babies do put their heart rate lower for periods of time and that is okay. They don’t usually measure FHR at scans, just confirm it’s there. There’s no point of me saying not to worry about it as of course you will, baby is well grown and they have let you go home, therefore they are happy. If they had any concerns at all they would have at least kept you to do a CTG.

FirstT1meMum · 16/11/2023 10:46

@Mummyme87 thank you so much, that does help a lot! Think it was just such a shock as sonographer had said everything was okay - I knew she'd had a hard time getting the cord in the right position but she never said she was concerned. DH said he was watching the measurements and it was at about 130 at most points. Will just be overly cautious I think from now! Oh these babies keeping us on our toes!

Mummyme87 · 16/11/2023 11:05

@FirstT1meMum fHR has massive variations, they have a baseline where their HR sits for the majority of the time with peaks 20-30beats above that and short periods lower.

got nappies out in the rain giving them some fresh air and starting to get them washed. I’m off today with a sick child, well he’s fine today but was vomming last night.

buckingmad · 16/11/2023 12:56

@Mummyme87 hope it's a quick 24 hour thing. There was a toddler on my bus last night that threw up everywhere. Thank god morning sickness is over or that would have set me off 😂

PartRadish · 16/11/2023 12:57

@lilluce95 Ive just got home from repeating my GTT for the same reason. Passed it at 27+3 but had ++glucose at antenatal last week and trace glucose over the weekend and this morning. I'm pretty convinced mine will be a fail this time round 😔

They did my third growth scan at the same time as the GTT this morning. Baby has dropped from from the 80th centile to the 19th in 4 weeks. Consultant has now changed me to 2 weekly growth scans but tbh I think the last scan we had that put her on the 80th centile might have been out, and I said so to DH at the time!

It was the fastest scan I've ever had and the sonographer originally said she was in a really awkward position then around a minute later she had all the measurements she needed. And she kept repeating 'it's only an estimate' even though I hadn't questioned it! Plus my previous 3 have been 6th (SGA), 50th (had fluids in labour, he was 10oz/13% of total weight lighter the next morning!) and 29th centile. I think an 80th centile baby is probably unlikely for me. So hoping that's just the cause of the discrepancy!

OP posts:
suz2285 · 16/11/2023 13:06

@lilluce95 your breakfast wont have immediately caused glucose in your urine so don't worry about that. @PartRadish i'm expecting to have to do more glucose testing too depending on if this baby is staying on the higher centile. I don't think I have GD at all, see what my urine and measurements say next week when i'm back at the midwife. Also aren't GD babies usually bigger!? Fair enough if they are 80% centile but weird if they're 19th! These things are so inaccurate it winds me up so much!

Another over here suffering with PGP, i'm glad it's not just me, walking makes mine so much worse, so i've had to stop walking for exercise, and just walking when I need to go somewhere! I have been doing stretches/exercises on you tube while waiting for a physio referral and i'm booked in to see a Chiropractor next week which is super expensive but I do not want to be in pain for the next 8 weeks! Some days' it's worse than others, sitting still for long periods is bad so i'm trying to get up and move my hips around every 30-40 mins!

Matildahoney · 16/11/2023 13:09

Those with PGP/SPD, my chiropractor has advised lifts rather than stairs, don't hoover, mow lawn or push a trolley. And do not push yourself, if need to stop then stop, rest but move around every 30 mins,

suz2285 · 16/11/2023 13:11

@Matildahoney is the Chiro helping with the PGP? I'm a bit nervous about seeing one while i'm pregnant tbh! but even the midwife said she recommends a chiro for PGP!

MrsJ6921 · 16/11/2023 13:26

I had my GTT over a week ago and I’ve not heard anything so I’m presuming I don’t have GD. I am 33 weeks tomorrow and have my midwife appt on Tuesday but she did say she wouldn’t be measuring bump as I had a growth scan within the last 2/3 weeks. So confusing!
