To those considering red raspberry leaf tea. I've ordered this one https://amzn.eu/d/co92dVY which was recommended to me by a friend!

She had at least a cup from 32 weeks and had a short easy-ish labour at 38 weeks. Of course everyone's experience is different but I think its worth a shot!

Also has peppermint in there as well which supposedly helps acid reflux and heartburn which I am really struggling with right now.

We got our Pram/pushchair bundle delivered today the iCandy Orange as I got a good deal on it and I love it! All feeling so real now 🥰

Also thanks @Luhou I never knew there was a rocking attachment for tutti bambini crib, very handy to know!

Mushroo · 10/11/2023 20:21

@EL27 thanks! That’s the one I’ve been looking at so good to hear a positive review.

DH keeps laughing at my raspberry tea / essential oils / aromatherapy but he’s not the one pushing a baby out! Will take all the help I can get!

sashastuck · 10/11/2023 20:38

@EL27 that’s the one I’ve got too! Having my first one now 😁

Luhou · 10/11/2023 20:42

@EL27 neither did I! I was really pleased to find it though, as I loved my tutti the first time round but felt it was the only thing lacking!

@LittleAlien24 that's rubbish! It will be nice when you have it done. And yes electrical work is the worst for the dust, so good it'll all be done soon. Good luck!

MrsJ6921 · 11/11/2023 06:50

It’s my first baby shower today, celebrating our little girl with my family in the NE followed by my second next weekend with my other friends and DH’s family near to our home.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend ☺️

Bims2019 · 11/11/2023 16:08

@MrsJ6921 enjoy your baby shower!

Just got back from our first bump and baby class, a lot of information but I really enjoyed it! Think DH is a bit overwhelmed though 😂

FirstT1meMum · 11/11/2023 21:17

Hope you had a lovely day @MrsJ6921 🥰

Mummyme87 · 11/11/2023 23:11

Just got back from the Olympic velodrome over in Stratford, pooped! We were watching the Track cycling champions league.
Battled with gutting out my wardrobe today aswell, was so out of breath! Really need to go to the dump and a charity shop, small room is full of crap now

Mummyme87 · 12/11/2023 08:22

Baby & Co shop online (shop is in Bristol) have huge sales on, plus 5% off for first purchase, just as a heads up if anyone still needs to buy anything .
I’m going to order my pram from there today ❤️❤️

sciatica is so bad after all the walking last night

MrsJ6921 · 12/11/2023 08:31

Thanks for all you lovely wishes for my baby shower yesterday! I had a lovely day 🥰

1992H · 12/11/2023 09:13

Glad you had a lovely baby shower.

seems everyone is shopping and securing the big purchases now-it all feels rather real/imminent! We were laying the flooring in baby’s room until 1am as my older two had a sleepover at my parents. Hoping to get it all finished with the edging trim & the last of the woodwork painted this week so I can get all the furniture up and start washing clothes by next weekend.
still 9 weeks to go for me, and my first two were both late so I think I’ve got a few months yet…. But don’t want to be unprepared just incase. Especially as between week 37&39.5 I’ve Christmas and both sons birthdays to factor in.

Mummyme87 · 12/11/2023 09:52

@1992H I’m anxious that this baby will do something different, being 3rd and all. I’ll have IOL booked for 39weeks which is 8weeks yesterday but a niggle in the back of my head says it will be a week earlier 😖 our house is no where near ready for a baby or Christmas but getting through it slowly. Im booking a dump trip today to get rid of some rubbish, and charity collection is Wednesday. I’m selling a few bits of Vinted aswell, making some cash to buy a new sling

1992H · 12/11/2023 10:05

@Mummyme87 i don’t think it helps that a lot of people seem to suggest thirds can be awkward! I keep feeling like she may go off piste and surprise me but I’m unsure if it’s a gut feeling or linked to the “third wildcard” reputation.

it’s not easy getting sorted around other kids/general life is it!? Add in low motivation here and it’s not been easy. Sounds like you are making good progress on clearing out and have a plan though!
how do you find selling on Vinted? I’ve got loads of stuff I need to move on from my first two that I won’t use this time and haven’t got around to selling the higher value stuff yet.
have you a new sling in mind?

RG9895 · 12/11/2023 10:05

I have my baby shower today and I am so excited!

Also hoping this will make some of you feel better those that house's arent ready or nursery isnt done...we are in the process of buying a house so not even in it yet, hoping we will be before the baby but we will see! Ive got her drawers set up where we are now and will put her next2me up later on. I am telling myself her nursery will be something I can do whilst on maternity leave. It will all fall into place😊😊😊

buckingmad · 12/11/2023 11:02

hypnobirthing course yesterday was good. I can see how my labour from start to finish just kept going “wrong” in terms of giving my body the best chance of turning baby round and progressing. I’m hopeful for my VBAC this time armed with a bit more knowledge.

managed to do a surface level blitz of the house this morning plus wrap DD’s Christmas presents before the second part of the course this afternoon. I just want to get DD a stocking and fill it with little things like colouring crafty stuff and I’m going to get DH a hamper of his favourite things so he has some little treats for the newborn period. I think I know what I’m getting everyone else I just need to get on with buying it. Time seems to be speeding up!

Mummyme87 · 12/11/2023 11:12

@1992H in my experience at work 3rds can be a bit different, not always obviously but yeah 😂
sling wise I’m looking at the Izmi, it’s well reviewed and has come recommended by the woman that owns Wear my baby locally to me

Hummusanddipdip · 12/11/2023 11:38

Glad you had a good day yesterday @MrsJ6921 and have an equally fab day today @RG9895

Another saying house is nowhere near ready for baby or christmas (not even started shopping, all the expense of everything with dpup has totally wiped pur christmas budget). I've washed the majority of the clothes we've been given and put them in the drawers, the cot is built but I've dumped blankets and scatter cushions in it. The spare (babies) bedroom is basically a dumping ground with stuff we were storing in the garage, but had to clear that ready for the conversion after Christmas..

Although on a positive we did do the media unit in the livingroom so all of my books are out of the room and organised.

I've gone for a wrap around sling this time round, I had one with ds but was quite anxious wearing it as I was worried I never sat him properly, but I've tried a sling library one and I think I know what I'm doing this time, plus for school run having baby as close as possible in the early winter months is probably best for warmth?

LittleAlien24 · 12/11/2023 12:59

@RG9895 enjoy your baby shower

@Mummyme87 my 8 weeks for 39 weeks was yesterday as well. Looks like we have the same due date.
My pregnancy is proving to me that 3rd is different. My 2 first pregnancies were so a like and this is totally different so I don't know what to expect from this 3rd csection now and due date wise like will he stick to it or be early.

Our room was all ready for the baby but had to pack everything up for works and it's now a storage room and I've to wash everything again. And our plan to get living room ready for Christmas and before he's here failed. Hopefully we'll manage to put at least a small tree up but that be it.

EL27 · 12/11/2023 16:45

Was wondering if anyone could help figure out what baby's growth percentile is on my chart. (Graph photo attached)

Last two appointments midwife has measured my fundal height and said its all normal, but not mentioned the percentile, honestly I only thought of looking at it now.

Now checking my notes looking at the chart it looks like he's growing over 90th percentile, does that mean he will be a big baby?

This is my first pregnancy so not sure how it all works, so sorry if I sound pedantic 😅. I've been considered low risk so no scans since 20 weeks but should I be reffered for a growth scan, also how accurate is measuring the belly/fundal height?
