@Onedayatatime24 my movements changed just like yours last week when I hit 30 weeks, went from short jabs to longer stretches and rolls!

Got back from our last holiday as a two last night and it was just the most amazing relaxing time we needed! Baby seemed to love being on holiday too! Bump seems a bit softer though this morning, almost like she's moved further back? Can still feel her rolling around...perhaps she's just cold coming back from Spain! 🤣

9 weeks today! Can't believe I've hit single figures, it's flying!

LittleAlien24 · 05/11/2023 14:05

Im 30+1 today and movements are gone much stronger but not too often or its just on my previous pregnancy my daughter moved too much.

@PartRadish how you getting on, is the stitch still holding on?

Mushroo · 05/11/2023 17:41

Just put all the white baby clothes in the wash so they’ll be ready to put in the bag.

Theyre so small! It’s made it feel very real!

MrsJ6921 · 05/11/2023 17:57

We finished our nursery today which I’m so glad about. I’m not sure my poor back would be able to cope with ironing and hanging curtains and helping my other half put up shelves etc. Its so lovely to know there’s a room waiting for her 🥰

Luhou · 05/11/2023 18:55

So jealous of those with finished nurseries. Feels a long way off for us. Kitchen to finish, new car to buy and nursery to do in the next 7-10 weeks for us 🙈

Luhou · 05/11/2023 18:58

Anybody with pre-schoolers had any thoughts regarding a buggy board? On paper feels like a good idea but not sure how much DD would use it. She's just 3 for reference.

Mummyme87 · 05/11/2023 19:29

@Luhou my 3.5yr old didn’t use the buggy board that much at all. Became somewhere for me to balance more shopping and just got in the way. He was quite happy walking though.

Mummyme87 · 05/11/2023 19:30

Also no where near having any designated space for baby at the moment. Everything’s just a mess. I did make a start on cutting our bedroom today however. OH was most unhelpful however 😡😐

Dannic2018 · 05/11/2023 19:53

I feel like I can feel a full foot or knee etc moving upwards and a lot of movements lower too but my ribs bloody ache so I really don’t know what position she’s in.

Well we’ve assembled the cot which is the worlds smallest one 🤣 nightmare to find sheets to fit. Hubby did the wood panelling and I’ve primed it today ready to paint tomorrow. Shelf and a mirror and a few accessories ordered. Just want to know she’s got a little space even though it’s just off our room so isn’t technically her own room, it’s just nice to feel a bit more organised. It’s been months and months of renovations and I finally feel like we are getting there now, thank the lord

Luhou · 05/11/2023 20:04

@Mummyme87 pleased we're not the only ones without a nursery ready, thanks for insight on the buggy board. DD is a great walker and is quite sensible about holding hand etc so I am wondering if she'll just be fine without.

Lilothblos · 05/11/2023 20:23

@Luhou we haven’t started our nursery either and won’t be able to any time soon. I figure she won’t be in it for a few months anyway so we’ll manage!

Luhou · 05/11/2023 20:57

@Lilothblos exactly they sleep with you for the first few months. The room we're going to use has been recently renovated so it's just a case of clearing it and putting furniture in. I'm not goint to overboard turning it into a nursery bar a few accessories, then in a couple of years we can do it up however he wants based on what he likes like animals or cars or something.

Hummusanddipdip · 05/11/2023 21:28

We've got the cot built and a drawer unit full of clothes in what will be babies room, but also boxes that we have moved from the garage ready for the conversion to start. So basically it's a store room with a cot 🤣

I was debating a buggy board for the school run just for speed, however I feel like I'll just wear baby rather than faff with the pram to begin with, dh will be home for the first 2 or 3 weeks of the school term depending when baby arrives, so we'll probably do drop off together.

Although, for the past few days I've started to feel like baby is going to be here before Christmas. I don't know why, I felt like this before ds too and he arrived bang on 37 weeks (my dates 37+6 midwife) but if baby is here for Christmas, he'll be arriving between 36 and 37 weeks.

I think it's because this next generation in my family is birthday stealing, all of my cousins children share birthdays with other cousins or aunts and uncles. Ds shares his with his nan. This one could share his with his dad if he does show for 36 weeks 🤷‍♀️

Anyone know if subsequent children from early births tend to be early too?

LittleAlien24 · 05/11/2023 23:15

@Luhou we not having nursery at all in this house. we discussed that he will stay in our room for about a year. Have all his stuff in our bedroom. When we finally manage to finish the house, sell it and move then we gonna have another project so who knows when he can have his room lol

@Kalodin how you feeling and how's your little girl getting on?

buckingmad · 06/11/2023 05:41

@Hummusanddipdip im the same. I’m absolutely convinced this one is coming 2023. DD came at 39 weeks and maybe it’s cause it’s my second and everything is just a bit more worn and tired lol but I feel like I did in the final few weeks with her already. Baby feels very low and I’m having a lot of braxton hicks that I need to breathe through! Not painful just a lot of pressure and uncomfortable.

Kalodin · 06/11/2023 06:22

Hey thank you for asking after us, it's been a tricky past few days. We have been moved to Addenbrookes as our local hospital couldn't meet her needs. Luckily we are able to stay in the family accommodation here so I can be close to her. I'm just really worried, been here before with our 2nd son. When he had to be transferred it was because he was so poorly and then died. The staff here do keep reassuring me it's different this time, she doesn't have any infection markers etc. But I'm just so scared.

On the early baby talk, I'm sure it's pretty standard for babies to keep coming earlier isn't it? They all have out of my family and friends.

Oh a baby book.... actually haven't even got one for our daughter yet! Should do really! Got one each for the boys.

Mummyme87 · 06/11/2023 06:34

I can’t imagine your worry and anxiety @Kalodin shes in good hands, and each baby is different, it won’t be the same. Glad you can stay close by to her. Make sure you’re taking care of yourself.

I would say there isn’t really any pattern for subsequent babies coming earlier, it’s total coincidence. Unless preterm, then that’s different.

woken feeling not so well this morning. Just can’t believe I feel so rubbish at 30+weeks. I have a cold and sore throat aswell which isn’t helping

LittleAlien24 · 06/11/2023 07:05

@Kalodin can't imagine what you going through but fingers crossed and all good thoughts send to your way. It will be different this time, she'll be fine. Take care of yourself as well.

@Mummyme87 hope you feeling better soon

Our madness starts today. Minimum of 3 weeks of chiseling, loud noise and dust.

Hummusanddipdip · 06/11/2023 07:13

@Kalodin they're right, and as pps have said, she's a different baby, she's in the best place and they will give her the best care they can and the best chance! One of my colleagues had her little boy at 29 weeks last summer (2022), he's thriving now.

Oh @Mummyme87 sounds like what I had at half term, completely knocked me. Hopefully it passes quickly for you!

I'm back to work today after last week's positive covid test, I don't think I'm fully emotionally stable (still can't talk about my pup without starting to tear up) but I'm quite good at snapping into TA mode when the children come in. Just got my return to work chat with my line manager before I can do anything.

FirstT1meMum · 06/11/2023 07:22

@Kalodin can't even begun to imagine but she's definitely in the right place. Sending lots of love!

Back to work for my final half term! Feel its going to be a busy one as have lots of appointments and lots of school events!
We have our first NCT class tonight!

HopeAndStrength · 06/11/2023 08:07

Sending love @Kalodin - I'm glad you are able to stay close to her and that they are taking care of you.

lilluce95 · 06/11/2023 09:49

Sorry I'm a bit late but massive congratulations @Kalodin!! Hope you and baby are doing well and sending lots of love ❤️ x

lilluce95 · 06/11/2023 09:50

@Hummusanddipdip @Mummyme87 hope you're both feeling ok - I've had a horrific cold this last week (nosebleeds included - the worst when you have a fear of blood 🤣) hope you're both ok though x

Dannic2018 · 06/11/2023 10:11

sending love @Kalodin I can’t even begin to imagine what you’re all going through but she’s in the best hands and having you close is what she needs.

All 3 of mine have been late 6,12,10 days but with my last two boys my dates have been pretty much when they’ve come I was just put ahead 10 days ahead at the first scan. I still feel like I can’t do another 8 weeks of growing and struggling so we will see if she’s different and comes early preferably after Christmas 🤣
