Another one feeling low and heavy! It’s literally come on today, I’m exhausted and a walk round the block was tiring. Treated myself to a one shot latte this afternoon as my eyes were literally closing at work.

She’s been head down since 27 weeks so nothing has even changed.

I have a growth scan tomorrrow so I’ll be interested to see if she’s had a bit of a growth spurt and that might be the change. She’s really enjoying kicking my ribs today as well..

Cant believe I have potentially another 9 weeks of this, with her practically doubling in size!

They won’t let me go over 40+6 because of the gestational diabetes, and I really don’t want an induction so hoping she’s not too comfy in there….!

sashastuck · 01/11/2023 15:31

Hey everyone! I don’t think baby is feeling too low yet but I definitely have the beach ball bump, haven’t had any kicks to the ribs yet but definitely have noticed a change in movements as now there’s a lot more rolling/turning. Although MW at last appointment said he was head down I do think he’s back to transverse sometimes because I can pretty much feel him, head to bum, curled up against my tummy!

@Kalodin still thinking of you, hope you’re okay
@Hummusanddipdip so sorry about your dog 😢 xx
@Mummyme87 hope that parking permit comes through asap for you

My mum is telling me she thinks I’ll have a 9lber. Making me very afraid!

Mummyme87 · 01/11/2023 15:33

I’m planning on starting raspberry leaf tea at 32weeks and attempt to start on the dates at 36weeks, not that I want to go into labour before 38+ weeks. But at least hoping will make my body more ready for IOL at 39wks.

Going to start Christmas movie watching this afternoon after hanging the washing out 😄😄

sashastuck · 01/11/2023 15:45

I was going to ask when you recommend starting on the raspberry leaf! 1 cup a day from about 32 weeks then?

Luhou · 01/11/2023 15:52

I know a few of us were looking to change our cars, how is car shopping going? I've of today sold my car so need to find somethint asap!

Luhou · 01/11/2023 16:01

@Hummusanddipdip I'm so so sorry about your dog. Hope you manage to enjoy this week with them and give them lots of love and affection ❤️ it is a blessing you're all isolating and home together x

Mushroo · 01/11/2023 16:13

@Luhou weve gone for a Ford Kuga and it gets delivered in a couple of weeks!

We ordered it months ago so tbh I’ve forgotten what it’s like, but it was the best priced small SUV when we were looking (at least, through DH’s lease scheme).

Mummyme87 · 01/11/2023 16:19

@sashastuck yes 32weeks, 1 cup a day to start or can take the tablets of struggling with it, and gradually increase to 3 cups by 36weeks. Dates is 70g a day from 36weeks. Hand expressing is whenever you feel comfortable but from 36weeks is fine and bang it in the freezer

we will be car hunting soon. Had to send v5 back to DVLA as our car model was incorrect on it 😖 once that’s back we can go for it. I may have persuaded DH to get a Volvo xc90 🤞🏻

I’m so jealous! I loved the Volvo but it ended up being way more expensive than we thought via the lease scheme we use.

It’s top of my list for our next upgrade.

Vikki7 · 01/11/2023 16:25

We ordered a Skoda Kodiaq back in Feb but last month had to cancel the order as we realised my sons wheelchair won't fit with 3 kids car seats! We've realised we need a WAV so looking at Ford Tourneo /Vauxhall Vivaro or something similar but that will be a long wait so will be after a Ford Galaxy or Seat Alhambra in the interim. I'm still learning to drive and hoping to pass at the end of the month so will be my OH doing all the driving for the next 3 years + if I fail!

Mummyme87 · 01/11/2023 16:28

@Mushroo yeah they are mega expensive, will be a few years old but when we looked at the kodiak and all space they just didn’t have the space we need so seemed stupid going for one of those.

Luhou · 01/11/2023 16:36

@Hummusanddipdip so sorry about your dog. We haven't budget for a new car so keeping our options open with regard to make. I do like the volvos.

Dannic2018 · 01/11/2023 17:03

@Hummusanddipdip so sorry to hear about your dog. My sister had to put her Jack Russell who was 17 last week and it hit us all hard. But he literally looked at them as he went into the vets as if to say “thank you” so sometimes it’s for the best for them. Our cockapoo is 8 but still breaks me to think of her not being here.

Im still high and was high with all my pregnancies I think. I get a lot in my ribs towards the end but the uncomfortable feeling in your lady bits too. 9 more weeks to go unless my placenta hasn’t moved up.

We lost twins last Christmas, well one on Boxing Day and one on New Year’s Day and I have this feeling that that is still an important date so who knows if she’s a 2024 or 2023 baby

Luhou · 01/11/2023 17:19

@Dannic2018 So sorry for you loss.

Hummusanddipdip · 01/11/2023 17:35

Thanks everyone, he was basically asleep when we drove over to the vets, I think he was ready and just exhausted. They were so kind about it and gave us loads of time with him before and after.

Ds was with us, so we were all together to say goodbye, ds picked his urn and they're doing him his own lock of hair and paw print as well as one for dh and I. It's also the first time I've seen dh cry in all the years we've been together.

I'm totally shattered, I don't think I can cope with anything else bad going on. It's been 3 solid weeks of bad news after bad news.

Matildahoney · 01/11/2023 18:18

@Hummusanddipdip so sorry to hear about your pooch 😪 so sad. Big hugs.

My bump is still high, no getting a hand in above it! But very heavy & walking hurts unless I wear a bump band which eases it slightly.

Re cars, we just bought a VW Passat, I used to have to drive a WAV, so don't really like SUVs. @Vikki7 last time we looked for a WAV we got quite lucky that someone had changed their mind after ordering a brand new one, so if we weren't bothered about the colour we could have it within weeks rather than months, good luck with all the requirements you'll need on that!

FirstT1meMum · 01/11/2023 18:41

@Hummusanddipdip I'm so sorry to hear this 💔 The lock of hair and paw print is so sweet 🐾

TunnocksTCake · 01/11/2023 19:11

So sorry @Hummusanddipdip sounds like you've been through it the last few weeks. Take care of yourselves 💕
I'm realllyyy low this time compared to last, he's all in my cervix and on my bladder it's horrible!!!

Bims2019 · 01/11/2023 19:14

@Hummusanddipdip thank you, it's really helpful to hear other experiences.

So sorry about your sweet doggy, and really glad you were able to have those last moments. You're definitely due some good luck now x

Lilothblos · 01/11/2023 19:15

@Hummusanddipdip I’m so so sorry, utterly heartbreaking. How lovely that he had you all there to say goodbye, he would have felt love and at peace I’m sure 💕

Lilothblos · 01/11/2023 19:16

@Mummyme87 we collected our Volvo XC90 last week, and I love it, fully recommend if you can! Thought I’d be nervous driving and parking such a big car but it’s just so easy to do both. Won’t be a problem fitting the pram in the back either.

EL27 · 01/11/2023 19:39

@Hummusanddipdip I'm so sorry to hear about your dog, I know how painful it feels but please take it easy and rest when you can. ❤

@TunnocksTCake I feel really low too, this is my first pregnancy but I feel like he's just chilling and wriggling around near my bladder below my belly button. Everyone keeps saying to me 'ooo you're carrying low!'

I rang my local birth centre (which is an option for me to give birth at) to book in to some antenatal classes and have booked in to 4 beginning of December. Can't wait, all feeling like it's going fast now!

Anyone else going to classes or been to them before? 😊

Mummyme87 · 01/11/2023 19:58

@Lilothblos pram in the boot okay with 6 seats in use? We wouldn’t need to always have 6 seats in use but when we are all together as a family we will

MrsJ6921 · 01/11/2023 20:39

I’m being tested for GD next week which I’m utterly gutted about and had a good old cry about it today. With being a FTM this is all such a learning process
