@TunnocksTCake i mean each mattress was used less than 5 times so it would be great if I didn’t have to replace it 😂 I’m probably going to wait and see if baby will lie down before I buy new and just rely on next day delivery if I think they will!

Mummyme87 · 31/10/2023 17:29

I’ve bought a new cosleeper crib mattress because our friend borrowed it for her second born. But if that hadn’t happened wouldn’t get a new one, DS2 never really slept in it

LittleAlien24 · 31/10/2023 20:53

I got secondhand cot with mattress but have to buy new mattress because this mattress is too small for the cot.
Got the folding crib for downstairs from DH daughter and not getting new mattress for this. She said her daughter used it only few times.

TunnocksTCake · 31/10/2023 21:26

Got my growth scan appointment through for when I'm 36 weeks, on my last day at work! Not sure why it's so late but glad to have it booked in!

Gremlin84 · 01/11/2023 09:14

Feeling extremely heavy this morning, walking across Kensington Gardens feels like a mission. Hard to fathom getting even heavier over the next 9-10 weeks!

suz2285 · 01/11/2023 09:26

@Gremlin84 also feeling very heavy all of a sudden over here!

FirstT1meMum · 01/11/2023 09:41

@Gremlin84 definitely feel this week there's been a big growth! Feeling very slow and tummy skin is feeling especially stretched!

buckingmad · 01/11/2023 09:48

I can't believe how much quicker I'm feeling full term. The last couple of weeks with DD I felt like I couldn't walk because she was right down in my pelvis and I'd get lightning crotch that would take my breath away. I'm getting that already at 30 weeks! Anyone else?

This one is definitely lower than DD was. I got married at 34 weeks with DD and had a nightmare finding a bra because my bump was so high. Now I can fit almost the width of my hand in-between boob and bump which whilst a relief for my ribs does mean my bladder/cervix are taking a battering instead. Not sure which is worse 😂

Matildahoney · 01/11/2023 10:31

I'm another wondering how to get through the next 9 weeks! It's my first so no idea what to expect size wise!

I'm also extremely emotional at the mo, could just burst into tears, argued with DP last night over not alot, couldn't stop crying all evening! Wouldn't even speak to him! Feel like I need to apologise tonight, he doesn't seem to get is probably just hormones though!

PartRadish · 01/11/2023 10:59

Another low one here. When I'm stood up there is still a decent hand width gap between the bottom of my sternum and the top of my bump. Which I'm not complaining about because I had horrific rib flare pain with two of my others! I do wonder if the reason she's so low is because I only have a teeny bit of measurable cervix so there's a few cm of extra space there maybe?! Although she's transverse and has been for a few weeks so maybe that's why?!

Luhou · 01/11/2023 11:03

Yeah. Feeling the same, lots of pressure especially if I squat down. Also feeling massive!

buckingmad · 01/11/2023 11:11

@PartRadish my DD was transverse but bump was high. This one is head down but bump is low! I think they just do what they want and we have to go with it 😂

Just said to DH if she’s a bit early then we could be having baby next month! Coming round super quick now.

Mummyme87 · 01/11/2023 11:15

I emailed my big manager this morning about the trust agreeing to a parking permit for these last few weeks. At present I park and walk to work which is usually fine but on top of a long shift it’s killing me. She’s made an urgent referral to occ health so will see what comes of that.

I had all good intentions today of going to the shops that I need to, going for a swim after lunch…. Well i lay down for about 2hours instead. Think work, plus trick or treating last night finished me off!!!

Luhou · 01/11/2023 11:38

@Mummyme87 take it easy! I've got a day in the house with DD, which is not ideal as I feel like I just have no energy being at home. I'd be better to go out and do something. (Workman here so waiting in)

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/11/2023 12:23

@Mummyme87 do hers crossed the parking permit comes through quickly. And yes absolutely take it easy! Working and with children while pregnant means you absolutely need some chill time for you!

Bims2019 · 01/11/2023 12:24

@Gremlin84 another one feeling massive over here! Bump has really rounded out over the past 2 weeks.

I had 31 week midwife appointment today and have been referred for a growth scan this afternoon - my first one! Baby has gone from 90th centile fundal measurement to 10th centile since 28 weeks. I'm not too worried though as even midwife agreed that I look much bigger than last time, and baby's head seems lower down too so that could definitely be a factor. Quite looking forward to seeing baby again though. Should I be prepared for a potential earlier delivery date if baby's head is that low?

Luhou · 01/11/2023 12:33

@Bims2019 my DD's head was engaged from 28weeks (confirmed by midwife not just me speculating) I was induced with her at 39 plus 3, so not necessarily.

Luhou · 01/11/2023 12:34

Crazy to think some of us will likely of had our babies next month!

Mummyme87 · 01/11/2023 12:39

@Bims2019 no, size, engagement, braxton hicks, show etc means nothing regarding when a baby will come.

@Kalodin how are you doing? Are you still in hospital? Hope baby is sitting tight in there for you

I’m definitely taking it easy aswell, currently sitting in Starbucks. Went to mamas and papas to look at a different pram but they don’t stock UPPABaby seemingly!
have looked at baby clothes and seem to have enough 0-3m for now, probably need a few more up to 1month and another pack of vests. Need a new blanket and that’s probably it.

Bims2019 · 01/11/2023 12:46

@Luhou @Mummyme87 thanks both, that's reassuring

It is bizarre that there might be babies next month, the time is just flying now!

@Mummyme87 taking it easy is definitely the way. John Lewis stock UPPAbaby if there's one near you, we tried one and I really liked it!

Hummusanddipdip · 01/11/2023 12:49

I've been told to stay home this week and dh is working from home (blessing in disguise) the whole household has covid (we've avoided it until now) ds schools policy is 3 days, but mine is 5 🤷‍♀️

Our poor old man has taken a turn for the worse and has started having seizures this week, which resulted in an emergency vet trip monday night, so dh and I have spoken and we think it's time to say goodbye, we've got an appointment this afternoon. The blessing being we are home with him and able to keep an eye on him and fuss and love him like he deserves.

They say bad things come in 3s, I'm starting to think they come in the space of 3 weeks and there's no limit to how many there are.

On bump front, I'm all beach ball up my top. Starting to get uncomfortable as movement has changed from jabs to rolls and stretches, which hurt more. At least he hasn't found my ribs yet, which ds did about now and loved kicking me in them regularly!

Mummyme87 · 01/11/2023 12:51

@Bims2019 I was trying to avoid driving over to the town with a John Lewis 😬 but will need to really, will nip over on Friday after smallest’s harvest assembly. Looking at the Cruz as opposed to Vista. My heads all over with prams, thought I knew what I wanted but then saw my cousins UPPAbaby Cruz at the weekend and now not sure. Need to see it collapsed really as that’s the issue, trying to fit it in the car alongside three kids and potentially a dog.

Mummyme87 · 01/11/2023 12:54

@Hummusanddipdip sorry to hear about your dog, that’s very sad, but like you say, all being home with him giving him all the love.

im massive bump wise. Saw my consultant at work yesterday, and she was like bloody hell!!! I’m like, YES! I know!!! I am carrying it around

Hummusanddipdip · 01/11/2023 12:55

Sorry took so long to write my post I missed a bit 🤦‍♀️

@Bims2019, like @Luhou ds was engaged from 28 weeks but didn't come until 37 weeks (spontaneous labour caused by extreme stress) but I've a few friends who have also had engagement from the 28-30 week mark and babies have been on time or late.

@Mummyme87 hopefully you find what you're looking for and are able to try them out!

Onedayatatime24 · 01/11/2023 13:38

Another one here who feels very low! At my last scan, they said he was in the perfect position for birth (but not for getting tummy measurements 😬). Some days I think I'm carrying small and then on others I'll catch myself in a mirror and be like I'M HUGE 😂.

Also noticed a definite change in movements, more like stretching/rolling and general moving around vs kicking. It hurts!

@Hummusanddipdip sorry to hear about your doggo ❤️
