@miamiamia869 I'm so sorry to hear that, r heartbreaking... One of the biggest fears I've had so far. But women are incredible and with good support we can handle so much adversity until the time of wonderful things comes again🙏

I had my 12 weeks scan today (although I'm on 11+2, 11+4 according to period). NT was 1.4mm for an CRL of 46.2mm. I don't really know about this stuff, the sonographer said it could be normal, but they can't say for sure until they've got the blood tests. It's going to be a bit of a stressful wait...
A big relief though that everything else was fine!

I’m sorry to read this @miamiamia869 and glad you have support around you. Take good care of yourself 💐💐

miamiamia869 · 07/11/2023 08:39

Hi all. Thank you all so much for your kind and caring words. It's so very sweet. I don't want to taint this happy positive chat with the negative of a loss. It's not fair on all you mammas as its a time of anxiety so only positive happy threads are needed. I will leave this post with a great thanks for such lovely words and wishing you all the happiest healthy pregnancies, and a world full of beautiful, healthy, bonny babies come may xx

Best of wishes to you all xxxxx

Sa11yCinnamon · 07/11/2023 10:36

Oh @miamiamia869 I'm so so sorry, and I hope my reply wasn't flippant. Sending you lots of love x

miamiamia869 · 07/11/2023 10:51

Of course not, comments have been nothing but lovely. Also wanted to send my best wishes to @Nina7 but my head is not quite with it today but best wishes and hope it all works out well for you xx

MrsB2005 · 07/11/2023 10:55

@miamiamia869 Im so so sorry lovely - please take time for yourself and surround yourself with your loved ones x

@Nina7 Will be thinking of you lovely, have you had the blood tests? Did they say how long you would be waiting for the results. Keeping everything crossed x

Sophie721 · 07/11/2023 18:30

I've been waiting for my blood results since Friday and can't think of anything else! Thought I'd relax after the scan 😩

PeppedUp · 07/11/2023 21:36

@Nina7 I had pretty similar results and think they’re in the normal range? Mine were 1.5 NT and a CRL of 48mm (11+4). I think under 3.5 is meant to be okay (and even over can end up being fine).

You can check where they are in the range on here: https://fetalmedicine.org/research/assess/nt

Nina7 · 08/11/2023 07:59

@PeppedUp this is so reassuring, thank you so much!

@Sophie721 I would be tempted to say that no news is very good news... As someone said earlier, when there are high chances, mothers are contacted fairly quickly. The midwife that took the bloods told me within a week. If there are low chances, it can take two weeks to be contacted with the results.

We're also doing a NIPT privately but only managed to do that yesterday, so it'll take another week for those results.

Gross TMI question… is anyone else getting more discharge than normal? Mine seems to have picked up the last week and I just wondered if that’s normal or whether I should speak to a midwife. I’m worrying about every little thing!

I’ve had a hellish 24 hours of sickness and feel sooooo awful this morning- when will it end! Hoping soon!

hope everyone else is feeling okay!

Nina7 · 08/11/2023 08:08

I'm getting for sure much more than pre-pregnancy... And it's does feel it's gradually increasing but I haven't noticed a very abrupt change.
I thought it's that cervical mucus plug and it's a positive sign.

I hope your sickness goes away soon... It's so frustrating!

Has anyone had an NIPT done in London that they would recommend?

PeppedUp · 08/11/2023 10:06

@LondonGirl1992 unless it smells or has an odd colour, I think its normal. It’s called leukorrhea and I think it’s to prevent infection.

I’m with you on wondering when the first trimester symptoms are going to end. I’m sure my symptoms peaked earlier last time, but I’m 12+1 now and they’re still not settling down.

junebuglb · 08/11/2023 12:16

This is very bizarre but is anyone else struggling with really vivid/unpleasant dreams? Twice in the past week I’ve actually woken up in tears! Really strange and hopefully short lived. When I wake up it feels like my body has been physically stressed!

Holdmysunhat · 08/11/2023 13:10

Yes me too @junebuglb Weird and intense dreams!

Sa11yCinnamon · 08/11/2023 13:18

@junebuglb yes me too, highlights have been murdering my neighbour then suffering major guilt, and not knowing who my baby's dad was...

Sa11yCinnamon · 08/11/2023 13:23

I had my booking in appointment today, did anyone else find it quite overwhelming?! Nothing in particular, just felt like loads of information. Felt weirdly a bit down afterwards.

Got my 12 week scan on Tuesday and been given a consultant appointment for four weeks' time.

TheBirdintheCave · 08/11/2023 13:26

@Sa11yCinnamon I was ok but my husband found it a bit hard when we had to talk about all of the miscarriages individually.

Emmacb82 · 08/11/2023 14:49

Hope everyone is well. Had my 12 week scan today, all is well so far. Due date is 15th may ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 08/11/2023 14:57

@Emmacb82 Congrats! I'm the 14th :)

So lovely to hear about all the scans that have gone well this week!

I have my scan at 2.30 on Friday.

Is anyone else’s back and hips starting to hurt? I have a back injury that the midwife is keeping an eye on for me so wondering if I’m feeling the pain a bit earlier than that. I didn’t think I was anywhere near big enough for extra strain to be happening already!

junebuglb · 08/11/2023 18:20

Glad I’m not the only one @Holdmysunhat @Sa11yCinnamon ! Hope they bugger off soon!

@Sa11yCinnamon oh dear, can’t say I’ve murdered anyone yet but last night a stranger chopped my arm off and then hurled abuse at me until I cried and woke up 😂 why brain, why?!!

(Just a dream in case anyone is reading out of context 🫠)

Rose5555 · 08/11/2023 18:39

@Twdfn123 I'm pretty sure that’s a girl! I have been studying the nub theory pretty hard the past few days. We had our scan yesterday and I am almost certain ours is a boy (and the sonographer agreed!) All healthy and happy too. EDD 20th May
