Anyone here in a similar position? I'm feeling a bit of an odd one out on forums now where I don't feel pregnant pregnant and I don't feel infertile infertile, and thought I'd see if others were in the same, tentative situation. I don't feel like I'm ready to join the main May 2024 gang until I'm more confident this will continue.

I'm only 4 weeks 5 days :/

🤗 @ASGIRC @thislittlebird

I think I bought maternity leggings at about 15/16 weeks. I now live in them.

Misty84 · 16/11/2023 10:30

This is my bump at 19 weeks tomorrow. ALTHOUGH this is a morning shot and by the evening it’s a lot bigger 🙈
These aren’t maternity trousers, they’re my only normal pair that still fit me! Think it’s the drawstring waist 😛

KG1244 · 16/11/2023 10:53

@countrypunk gorgeous bump ❤️

countrypunk · 16/11/2023 10:56

I love the bump pics! Yours is beaut @Misty84 Mine is also much bigger after a full day of eating!

❤️ @KG1244

KG1244 · 16/11/2023 10:57

@Misty84 another gorgeous bump ❤️ And is that a fluffy cat in the background?

Misty84 · 16/11/2023 11:07

Thanks @countrypunk and @KG1244! It’s a dog in the background (we got him 2 years ago, after a mc). I thought dogs were supposed to be intuitive but so far he has NO IDEA there’s anything different about me/happening 😝

countrypunk · 16/11/2023 11:10

@Misty84 Ditto with my dog, but she is extremely self centred...

Misty84 · 16/11/2023 11:12

@ASGIRC Your ‘bump’ is just what I look like normally 😂 Mad that you’re that far along and not showing!

ASGIRC · 16/11/2023 11:50

@Misty84 lovely bump!!

Yeah, I'm a bit baffled, to be honest. But everything seems fine, so I'm gonna enjoy wearing my clothes for a bit longer! 😂😂😂

Though I want to buy a new dress for NYE and unsure what to do, as I have no idea what my body will be doing by then!

Misty84 · 16/11/2023 12:46

@ASGIRC Oh gosh absolutely, as long as all ok that’s all that matters! Yes def tricky to predict how you’ll look by new year!
I’ve just ordered a couple of maternity party-suitable dresses for various events coming up.

ASGIRC · 16/11/2023 12:49

@Misty84 I'm thinking if I order things with stretch, like a stretch velvet dress, it might be ok, and then I'll be able to wear them after pregnancy as well

But nothing with zippers or flimsy fabrics, as I'm sure they have no give!

TheBirdintheCave · 16/11/2023 12:59

@ASGIRC Gosh that's so surprising that there really is no bump! I wonder if she's sitting quite far back into your pelvis 🤔

This is me at 14+3 today and I already feel huge 😂 Like @Misty84 it gets bigger in the evening. I go back to Zumba tonight so that should be interesting!

Misty84 · 16/11/2023 13:08

@ASGIRC Funny you should say that as stretchy velvet dresses are exactly what I’ve ordered!

Lovey bump @TheBirdintheCave! Zumba is the only exercise class I can still do.

ASGIRC · 16/11/2023 13:13

@TheBirdintheCave I can definitely feel the uterus, now, just under the layer of fat! But definitely not protruding.

@Misty84 hahaha I've been on the hunt for a velvet dress for a couple of years and I think this is the time! Hopefully in either Christmas green or Christmas red 😂😂

TheBirdintheCave · 16/11/2023 13:20

@Misty84 I used to be a bit of a Duracell bunny with it but tonight I think I will be operating at old lady level. I figured walking there and spending an hour moving constantly once a week is beneficial even if I'm not bouncing around 😅 Do you still do all of the moves or moderate it?

Misty84 · 16/11/2023 13:28

@countrypunk So funny about your dog 😂 Mine is far more interested in squirrels than anything going on with me.

@ASGIRC Ive gone for Xmas Green, Xmas red, and a navy one in marginally different styles. Hoping at least one of them looks nice!!

@TheBirdintheCave i DEFINITELY moderate it! I used to put a lot of effort in and now I just flounce about old lady style 😂 Exactly as you say- it’s still beneficial!

ASGIRC · 16/11/2023 13:35

@Misty84 fingers crossed!
I need to start looking properly!

@Misty84 @TheBirdintheCave I'm not an exercise person and haven't done regimented exercise in over a decade, but I do walk to work.

However, in the past few weeks, that's becoming hard. My round ligament pain is constant when I walk around, so I'm definitely slower than I used to be.
It used to take me 20/25 minutes to get to work and now it's firmly in the 30 minute range!

IVFAlone · 16/11/2023 14:42

I’m 14weeks and have no bump or symptoms! Jealous of everyone else that does 😭. IVF babies do really stress us all out until the end xxx

countrypunk · 16/11/2023 16:14

@Misty84 She's an arsehole! But she's my arsehole and I love her. Not sure what she's gonna make of a baby...

@IVFAlone Careful what you wish for! And I'm sure your bump will be along soon. Mine started to pop at about 16 weeks but I think I'm bigger earlier than lots of women. My mum says she was the same.

Summerishere83 · 16/11/2023 16:31

Lovely bumps, ladies!! @countrypunk @Misty84 @TheBirdintheCave :))

thislittlebird · 16/11/2023 18:28

A lot of bumps!

@countrypunk I still haven’t told any family so I can’t ask my mum how she was. Scan is Saturday but dh is still quite sick, thinking I might need to go alone.

I did actually get out for a walk today, which has proven quite the challenge the last few days. I ordered a Mamalicious coat from the Zalando sale for £36, I’m just not sure if it will fit all the way through because it hasn’t got one of those panels. I might send it back yet, but I thought I’d try it.

Im 20 weeks with no bump or symptoms! So just enjoy it! It is all fine!!! :)

@thislittlebird hope your Dh recovers enough to go with you! And that your scan goes well!

thislittlebird · 16/11/2023 19:33

@ASGIRC thanks! He’s got such a bad fever right now, I really don’t want to get it and I’m hoping it leaves our house soon 😩

I read my letter for my scan today and the whole thing made me feel like it’ll be a horrible experience. Really sad dh can’t come with me. They want me to drink 1 litre of water which is ridiculous, I did it when at Guy’s and I was nearly wetting myself in the street, so I’ll drink less this time. And then they say they’ll charge me money for a picture of the scan???? Did anyone else have that? It really upset me that the NHS wants money for a single printed scan photo.

KG1244 · 18/11/2023 11:05

@thislittlebird so sorry to hear that. I’m sure it will still be lovely. I wasn’t charged no, that is really unfair. I also didn’t drink that much. No more than 400ml. Sending you love and keep us posted xx
