For those struggling with pelvic pain. Is anybody regularly hearing and feeling there pelvis clicking?

Mummyme87 · 14/10/2023 22:35

@Luhou no clicking here just awful pain. I’m looking for an osteopath online locally as we speak

Luhou · 14/10/2023 22:48

@Mummyme87 I think I might have to do the same. I'm really struggling here. Feeling so daunted that I've still got 14weeks left to go.

Mummyme87 · 15/10/2023 06:43

@Luhou yesterday I walked to the high street (10mins) and back. I had to stop twice to sit down coming back, absolutely broke me. Same thoughts as you, I was like how can I do this for another 12weeks, keep working for another 8weeks. It’s horrible. Plenty of osteopaths around, I’m going to email one today

Luhou · 15/10/2023 07:29

@Mummyme87 I feel for you it's horrible. Another awful nights sleep as in agony everytime I move or roll over can literally hear my pelvis clicking in pain.

I think I'll take a look into osteopaths in my local area. Are they likely to reccomend regular sessions? Just wondering how much money I should allow. Sessions seem to be about £50 but obviously if they suggest 10 sessions that's £500.

Mummyme87 · 15/10/2023 08:53

@Luhou i read last night that after 2 sessions you should feel a difference… I suspect they will recommend regular but up to you whether or not you can afford it. The one I found last night did long course and short courses at a discount if buy together

Made the most of the sunshine and done all my newborn and first month size washing from DD’s old clothes. Almost cried looking at them all and remembering that little bubble we were in! I just can’t wait for it all again, although I imagine it will be less restful with a toddler but hopefully filled with more cute family moments.

Had to re wash a few things after a good soak in vanish as DD had awful reflux so some of them are a bit milk stained. Washed my hundreds of huge muslins too as again, she was constantly sick! Would be an absolute dream to have a baby that doesn’t bring up an entire feed.

Mummyme87 · 15/10/2023 17:08

@buckingmad that’s cute. I don’t think we have a lot of clothes, only kept the expensive stuff or bits I really loved. DS1 had horrible reflux aswell so the necks were covered on stains.

I ended up doing a prelim wash at 40, then soaked overnight with vanish then washed again at 30 and they’ve come up ok.

Hummusanddipdip · 15/10/2023 22:42

Oh gosh lots to catch up on.

Not really had pelvic pain here, sciatic pain and I think my joints are starting to loosen? I feel like I remember that being something that happens? My knees feel weird if I don't walk down stairs properly i.e not carrying anything, walking forwards not side stepping like normal.

I'm not convinced we have a pattern as such, more like just jabbing me in the side every few hours to let me know he's still in there 🤣

Got just over a week until my first gap scan and 2nd consultant appointment. Anyone know what we will be discussing? I'm under consultant care because ds was a sga baby, all I'm doing is taking aspirin at the moment and was asked to continue with my pregnancy supplements. So last apt she explained in further detail why they're keeping an eye on me and baby this time, will we be looking at the scan I'm having done this time? Or will we be discussing something else? My scan at 36 weeks will be the one where they decide what course of action to take - induction or leave me to go into spontaneous labour.

I need to wash all the clothes I've got, been given so many things ds wore that I'd given to friends and family for their babies, I cried as I went through them as the memories came back, especially the 3-6 months bits as they were what he wore through lockdown and we just basically walked around the city we lived in then (he was 7 months old when lockdown hit but because he's such a titch, he was in 3-6 until he was a year old, even now at 4 he's still in some 2-3 stuff 🤣) think washing will be a half term job, along with rearranging ds room 🤣 xxxx

Salamander91 · 15/10/2023 23:10

For anyone worrying about baby still being breech I had a growth scan at 28+1 and he was breech and a 4d scan at 28+3 and he was head down so they've obviously still got plenty of room for moving at this point lol I didn't even notice him turn although I did have a very tender belly that day.

Mummyme87 · 16/10/2023 06:52

baby keeps stretching and pushing his back out which is very uncomfortable! He likes to lie on my right side and whenever I feel is always head down, so it’s obvs his preferred place.

I wrote a list of stuff to do last night, it’s quite long and a bit overwhelming. I need to start this week.

@Hummusanddipdip can’t imagine what would be said at your consultant appt re prev SGA. It’s all about the growth scans. Hopefully the aspirin is doing the trick!

I’ve got itching follow up tomorrow, postponed from today otherwise I would have lived at the hospital. My hands have been sooooo itchy this weekend, driven me up the wall!! Then Wednesday mw appt, Friday GTT again which I’m very anxious about

FirstT1meMum · 16/10/2023 07:20

@Mummyme87 hope all your appointments go well, seems a busy week this week! Itchy hands are so frustrating!! I've suffered with eczema on my hands for years and sometimes I just can't get any relief so I know your pain!

I've got a few appointments too this week, 28 week MW Wednesday then growth scan, consultant and Anti-D clinic Thursday! Feeling very lucky Thursday's appointments are back to back though.

Quick question about sleeping, I know falling asleep on your left side is recommended and I do but some nights, especially this weekend, I've woken up and my back is really aching. I suffered with sciatica a few years ago and feel I might be suffering a bit again. I get relief by lying on the other side for a bit - is this okay or should I stay on my left? I avoid my back consciously.

Mummyme87 · 16/10/2023 07:36

@FirstT1meMum you can lie on either side. Lying flat on your back on 3rd trimester is best to avoid long term but okay to wake up like that.

buckingmad · 16/10/2023 08:11

@FirstT1meMum i have a similar week to you! 28 week appointment Wednesday and anti d Friday. Keep thinking about booking a 4d scan but we are potentially putting an offer in on a house so I’m in the mind frame of every penny could be going towards that 😂

suz2285 · 16/10/2023 08:52

@FirstT1meMum yeah both sides are fine, i flip flop between both all night mostly!

@buckingmad wow, houses are such a stress, hope it all goes ok! we'll be needing to move once baby is here but thinking maybe not looking until he is a year or so old! Gonna be a total pain but needs to be done....

I've got midwife next week, they're doing my "random blood sugar" instead of a GTT apparently, and I'm getting anti-d which i've heard is sore so anyone with experience before then let us know! 😂Also is it in the bum cheek right??

I had a rubbishy horribly emotional weekend, dunno if an influx of hormones or what but just felt really sad and rubbish. Feel a bit better today though... prob a combo of the cold weather/time of year and starting to feel like not entirely myself - no routine etc etc! Does everyone have heaps of mum friends or is anyone else basically alone? I have my DH but jeez they just don't "get" it sometimes, esp if it's emotional stuff!

Mummyme87 · 16/10/2023 08:53

@buckingmad offer on a house is exciting!!! Definitely save your pennies, I’m not a fan of 4D scans, also if they aren’t performing for you it’s such a waste!!

Onedayatatime24 · 16/10/2023 08:53

Hope everyone's appointments go well this week!

I've got a busy one too! I've got my GTT today, flu jab on Thursday then next week I've got 28 week midwife appointment and a 28 week growth scan. They're coming thick and fast now!

I've got a consultant appointment with my growth scan too due to high BMI. Anyone know what would be discussed here?

Also they booked me in for growth scans at 28 and 32 weeks but my midwife said it should be 32 and 36 weeks. So not sure if they've made a mistake there or just wanted to scan me earlier! I feel like I never know what's going on with these appointments 🤦‍♀️ just turn up and hope for the best most of the time haha

PartRadish · 16/10/2023 09:03

Similar couple of weeks here too. Appt with perinatal psychologist Thursday, GTT Friday (really worried/anxious about this), appt with perinatal CPN Tuesday to start a birth plan, antenatal Wednesday for 28 week bloods and anti-d, perinatal psychologist again Thursday and finally preterm clinic for another growth scan.

Flossiepot · 16/10/2023 09:19

Gosh we're all the same these next 2 weeks. Have my GTT on Monday, along with 28 week scan and consultant on the same day. No booking for bloods though and I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow. Does anyone know if the consultant will sort this next week?

Bims2019 · 16/10/2023 09:43

Hi all, I've missed a lot the last few days but hope everyone is well. Good luck to everyone with appointments this week!

Pregnancy insomnia is back with a vengeance for me, I had such a busy weekend and was knackered but still couldn't get to sleep. Then baby was performing some kind of circus act for half the night 😂 I love feeling them though so mustn't complain!

@FirstT1meMum yep I sleep on both sides too, constantly turning over in the night. It wakes DH up almost every time as well, such an effort to move these days 😂

@suz2285 sorry you had a rubbish time over the weekend, it can be a tough time of year anyway without the added hormones. How are you feeling today? Quite a few of my friends have kids but none of them live close by, so I can't just meet up with them for a chat. And DH is great but like you say, he doesn't know what I'm experiencing. Have you signed up to any antenatal classes? We have some starting in November so a little while away yet, but I'm looking forward to meeting local mums to be who get it!

Also feel like baby has had a growth spurt over the weekend, anyone else feel like their bump has suddenly got a lot bigger?! I'm struggling to walk up slight inclines now and getting off the sofa is hilarious. Keep thinking that I have over 2 months left!

suz2285 · 16/10/2023 10:00

@Bims2019 yeah i'm ok today thanks 😀we will have classes but they're all still online which sucks! I'm waiting to hear when they will be

And yes to the bump suddenly being huge!

am3017 · 16/10/2023 10:02

I had 4D scan for DS and DD, booked in tomorrow for one for this baby just so I can compare their little faces in the scans (hopefully if DS2 behaves) also taking DS1 with me so will be nice for him to see DS2 as he’s never been at any of ours scans for DD or DS2.

@suz2285 i have my 28 week appointment next week with mw when I’ll get my Anti D, both previous pregnancies when I’ve been given it I don’t remember it being really sore…I think if it was I would remember🙈 it’s also given in arm (well for mine anyway it was)

WitcheryDivine · 16/10/2023 10:40

Still catching up but I'm relieved to see other people are suddenly finding bra bands bloody uncomfortable. I have been wondering if this is the point where your ribs start moving?

It doesn't even seem to matter how tight or loose bands are, even dresses that gather under the boobs are feeling horrible on.

Mummyme87 · 16/10/2023 10:48

@WitcheryDivine my bra bands just make me mega itchy, think they’re just hot.

I still need to get whooping cough and Covid vax. When in Rhodes was sitting next to my aunty for quite a while and tuns out she tested pos for Covid 2 days later, also DH has been loaded with cold/sore throat/cough over the weekend, so holding out for another week to make sure I don’t get it and have the vax at the same time.
