I’m jealous of everyone that’s cold I’m absolutely boiling fan on and everything 🫣😂
Can join on the bloating 6+5days and I look about 16 weeks even my leggins are bloody tight😭😂

Is there anyone else who has had a baby before and is experiencing fewer symptoms this time? I'm pretty queasy but I think it's less intense than last time. Also I have very little breast soreness or cramping compared to first pregnancy, maybe because of breastfeeding til recently and womb already expanded from carrying a baby before? Trying not to worry!:

ASGIRC · 02/09/2023 07:57

@WolfMother326 symptoms mean nothing. Nothing at all!
And they also change from pregnancy to pregnancy. There is nothing to worry about (that can be measured by symptoms, at least! )

hja62 · 02/09/2023 08:18

Thanks @sugarplum33. I've started cramping and bleeding heavier now so I'm certain it's all over. Will ring doctor on Monday to confirm. Devastated x

Greenvelvetdress · 02/09/2023 08:23

@hja62 so sorry to read this, I know how painful and difficult it is. Sending you lots of thoughts x

sugarplum33 · 02/09/2023 08:40

@hja62 Thinking of you, so sorry you're going through this xx

sugarplum33 · 02/09/2023 08:46

@WolfMother326 I agree with @ASGIRC. I was sick as a dog at this stage in my first pregnancy but the symptoms are all different this time. Every pregnancy is different, even for the same mum. Having read plenty of cases of successful pregnancies with no symptoms and unsuccessful pregnancies with strong symptoms, I've decided to quit worrying what my symptoms might be telling me and just appreciate the fact I'm pregnant right now and functioning and feeling okay.

ASGIRC · 02/09/2023 08:51

@hja62 Im sorry this is happening.

ASGIRC · 02/09/2023 08:57

@sugarplum33 this is it... Just recently I knew of a case of HG, who then found out the pregnancy had not evolved, but was still suffering from HG...
I am hoping my (few) symptoms disappear soon, as I am approaching placenta time! And just need to trust that everything is going well.

Ive had 2 good scans, last one a couple of days ago at 9 weeks, so thats reassuring. But the anxiety is still there!

Bexxy28 · 02/09/2023 09:15

@hja62 thinking of you, I'm soo sorry you're going through this xx

Bexxy28 · 02/09/2023 09:17

@ASGIRC this makes me feel so much better! My only symptoms are sore boobs now and again, bloating and some nausea. I've spent time worrying if everything is going okay because of how I feel but just hoping and praying that all is good when I get my scan next Sunday🤞

WolfMother326 · 02/09/2023 09:26

@sugarplum33 @ASGIRC thanks, that's really helpful. I had a good scan this week so not really worrying too much, just wild how different it is so far.

WolfMother326 · 02/09/2023 09:27

@hja62 I'm so sorry, hope you get some answers soon

Bluesky85 · 02/09/2023 10:08

@hja62 im so sorry, take care of yourself xx

dory0 · 02/09/2023 13:40

So sorry to hear that @hja62 x

@WolfMother326 I've had two babies before. In my second pregnancy the nausea started later but everything else was the same. This is my third pregnancy and the nausea started super early but is now very much coming and going in waves/varies day to day. I've had 0 cramps whatsoever, just a dull ache every so often. I've also had 0 breast tenderness (or growing a cup size for that matter, which I could do with, bah humbug 🤣), although I do have tender nipples (noticeable as I'm still breastfeeding my almost 2 year old). Baby is absolutely fine and healthy at the moment (we've seen a heartbeat), so the lack of symptoms isn't anything to be concerned about.

...So basically, I wouldn't worry. All pregnancies are different, even with the same woman!

CinderRosie · 02/09/2023 13:59

Sorry to hear your news @hja62 x

CinderRosie · 02/09/2023 14:01

I am 7 weeks today and it’s a roulette every day as to whether I’ll feel nauseous and if so, when. Yesterday I felt ok all day, just some food aversions and cravings then the nausea hit from 7pm-1am meaning I couldn’t sleep.
today I’ve had nausea all morning but now feel ok 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just have no energy to do anything and feel generally yuck and not myself.

Lbw1292 · 02/09/2023 14:06

So sorry @hja62 thinking of you xxx

WolfMother326 · 02/09/2023 14:48

@Poppins2016 your experience sounds so similar to mine. I just stopped feeding my 2 yo about 3 weeks ago (his choice, but good timing for me) so wondered if I'm not noticing breast pain because they're already larger than before I had him. Hopefully we will both continue to feel good!

CluelessInLondon · 02/09/2023 15:08

I've just had my early scan and don't really know how I feel now - saw the sac and heartbeat which was positive, but then was told baby is only measuring 6+1 which is way behind what I was expecting. Trying to take the positive of the heartbeat and keep in mind that it's hard for these early scans to be accurate, but not feeling quite as reassured as I was hoping for! Anybody else had similar?

hopefulmum46 · 02/09/2023 15:13

@CluelessInLondon sorry to hear it wasn't as reassuring as you hoped. Where were you expecting to be? Were you basing dates on ovulation tests or lmp?

CluelessInLondon · 02/09/2023 15:26

@hopefulmum46 Based on LMP I'm 7+5 - have a reasonable but not exact idea of when I ovulated, the sonographer suggested it might have been later if my cycle isn't consistent but know it can't have been much later than when I think it was. Trying to see the positives as everything looks otherwise normal, and I know there are lots of variables at such an early stage. I was probably pinning my hopes too much on being told everything is exactly as it should be!

hopefulmum46 · 02/09/2023 16:30

@CluelessInLondon did you have an internal or external scan? The differences in size are only millimetres, if you did ovulate a bit later than you think and the measurement was slightly out that could account for it. It's certainly a good sign that the sonographer thought everything looked pretty normal. Are you going to have another scan in a couple of weeks?

It sounds like quite a lot of people having early 'reassurance' scans aren't actually very reassured! Hope everything proceeds well and try not to worry (although I know that's a lot easier said than done!)

CluelessInLondon · 02/09/2023 16:38

@hopefulmum46 They did both - couldn't see enough on the abdominal scan so did an internal one as well. I've got my booking appointment with the midwife on the 11th so I'll probably decide after that whether to have another scan or just wait for 12 weeks. Not sure whether I would rather just wait as it could just add to the stress levels if I have another scan and it doesn't give me any more reassurance... On balance I'm still glad to have had the scan as it hasn't flagged any major problems and I've seen the heartbeat, just wasn't the ideal outcome of hearing everything is precisely as I expected. As you say though, we are talking millimetres and things can change quickly, so I'm trying not to worry too much when it might be fine.

Thanks for your support and advice, really appreciate it!
