Hello!

I got a BFP this morning and think that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.
Whilst I am of course delighted, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and so my initial elation has quickly been replaced with fear and wishing that I didn't know so early!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat? If really appreciate some company and morale support during the wait!

Thank you x

No problem @Albrook, fingers crossed you can get one that suits you. They only take about 20 mins start to finish so you might be able to slip out at lunch if theres somewhere close enough?

Bubbles663 · 22/08/2023 16:35

Tentatively joining this.. TTC since January but have had MC in March and July. I haven’t had a period since my latest MC and now pregnant again (!!).. feeling very anxious about it as I know that it’s recommended to have a period in between. Think I am roughly 4 weeks so very early days still and maybe due around 30th April.

Lucky enough to have a DD already but after 3 losses in total (one prior to DD) I am very nervous about everything. Hoping that this one sticks 🤞🌈

roro87 · 22/08/2023 16:38

I had a really tough morning this morning, really bad cramps and diarrhea now I'm worried it was something more. I find it so hard now as my tests aren't changing (as dark as can be) and I'm two weeks off my scan. no bleeding or anything but also no symptoms. Never wanted morning sickness so badly

roro87 · 22/08/2023 16:40

@Bubbles663 so sorry for your losses, it is so difficult. Fingers crossed for you this time. I'm due the 20th April based on ovulation

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 22/08/2023 16:58

@roro87 if the cramps got better after the diarrhea stopped, they were probably bowel related rather than uterus.

Early Pregnancy can cause GI upset, which can cause pretty bad cramps. I had a rough night lastnight too after some takeaway pizza didn't agree with me and gave me awful trapped wind.

roro87 · 22/08/2023 17:03

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess oh yes they were totally gastro, like i'd cramp like mad then go then they'd ease. Normally I wouldn't take any heed but when you are already on edge it is hard not to read into everything.

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 22/08/2023 17:11

It's totally normal @roro87 the hormones rising quickly in early pregnancy (progesterone, oestrogen, hcg) can play havoc on your bowels.

Totally understandable to be worrying though, we worry about pretty much everything at this early stage.

peaky297 · 22/08/2023 17:23

Thanks to everyone who has responded - it's taken the edge off the anxiety ♥️

@roro87 I had the exact same worry - lots of loose bowel movements and I feared the worst. However, that stopped about a week ago and now I seem to have the opposite issue 😂

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess good to know re hormones, they seem to impact on just about everything!

I've been influenced by you lot and booked a viability scan for when I'm 8+4, managed to find a window to the womb which was offering £70 scan yay

Ttcmumma · 22/08/2023 18:10

A very random one for you ladies but incase any of you experience it and panic like I did. After my abdominal and transvaginal scan yesterday confirming a 6 eek baby with heartbeat, I began to cramp a lot and really felt as if my period was coming! It lasted the entire day 🤦🏼‍♀️ but stopped once I went to bed and been fine today! Incase any of you have the same after your early reassurance scans xx

Albrook · 22/08/2023 23:46

Ive booked a scan for saturday the 9th, i should be 7+4 so just counting down the days now!

roro87 · 23/08/2023 20:25

Hi All, had a horrific day today. Bloody discharge, followed by pink and brown and some more red then. My pee colour changed also from bright yellow to clear and light without me drinking anything. All support and advice welcome

DizzyM43 · 23/08/2023 20:33

@roro87 sorry about your day, could you have ovulated late and it's just implantation bleed? I know lots seem to have a bit of blood in these 1st weeks, can you contact EPU if you are worried? Xx

roro87 · 23/08/2023 21:20

My doctor has referred me to epu will probably be next week. I've had my hcg tested previously and I'm on track plus getting dye stealers and 3+ on pregnancy tests and also know I'm pregnant 2 weeks now so I doubt it. Seems to have stopped now

DizzyM43 · 23/08/2023 21:38

@roro87 ah I see. Well hopefully will stay stopped but def worth getting checked anyway x

peaky297 · 23/08/2023 21:41

@roro87 bless you - I'm so sorry to hear, what a tough day you've had.
Fingers crossed there's no more now and everything settles down. How far along are you? X

@roro87 I'm sorry that sounds so stressful. I hope you can get in for a scan soon to find out what's going on.

WolfMother326 · 24/08/2023 09:10

@DizzyM43 how are you getting on?

roro87 · 24/08/2023 11:02

I've just got bloods done this morning so ideally my hcg will be over 3000 hard to know. I got a 3+ on clearblue on Monday and a couple of dye stealers so I'm hopeful I might. I'll hopefully get a scan next week. Thanks for all your support

DizzyM43 · 24/08/2023 14:41

@WolfMother326 hey there, I'm not too bad thanks I've been feeling a bit rough lol, still crying at everything 🙈😂 should be 6 weeks tomorrow. May book a scan for before I'm back at work, currently keeping everything crossed. How are you doing?

@roro87 🤞🏼 for good results for you and get some good news put your mind at rest

WolfMother326 · 24/08/2023 15:10

@DizzyM43 Are you on holiday right now? I'm finding work so hard, and it's very intense at the moment!
I'm also feeling a little rough but not terrible. I seem to have more food aversions in the morning but can work better, and then as the day goes on I get fuzzy headed and hungry, and then in the evening I am queasy. Not the most fun, but also not terrible.

Just like my previous pregnancy, I've totally gone off sugar, most flavours and caffeine/coffee.

I think I'm 5 weeks 5 days today, but I was looking at my app and realized I might actually be closer to 6. I guess I'll find out on Wednesday at my scan.

DizzyM43 · 24/08/2023 16:50

@WolfMother326 I work in a primary SEN school so yeah off for the 6 weeks and then 2 very long half terms to get through to December, can't wait 😂 oh wow scan on weds that's not long till you see your little bean 😃 I think I might book one for next weekend...

WolfMother326 · 25/08/2023 08:49

@DizzyM43 oh dear that sounds like a demanding job! Hopefully you'll have most symptoms pass after September. In my first pregnancy I felt better after 11 weeks.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the scan. I hope it's reassuring.

Feeling really queasy today and really gone off food.

DizzyM43 · 25/08/2023 11:10

@WolfMother326 I love my job but it's going to be hard feeling unwell and not telling anyone.
Suppose it's good you are feeling nauseous from a pregnancy point of view but hope you manage to find something that eases it 😊

Cinderz123 · 25/08/2023 14:18

Just got bk from having my planned scan at EPU I'm measuring 6 weeks, pregnancy is in the right place and there was a heart beat 💓 the relief was immense!! Im booked in for a further scan at 9 weeks (due to my history) iv been commenced on clexane injections and asprin as per my consultants plan, my Dr suggested progesterone in his referral but as my consultant is off now for 2 weeks they decided that they would stick to his plan and my Dr can take it up with him in 2 weeks when he's bk 🙄 lol so for today I'm happy I had horrible night with stomach cramps and nightmares so I really was very anxious going in this morning im going to try relax a bit more now and cautiously get excited 😊
