Hello!

I got a BFP this morning and think that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.
Whilst I am of course delighted, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and so my initial elation has quickly been replaced with fear and wishing that I didn't know so early!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat? If really appreciate some company and morale support during the wait!

Thank you x

@Mrsttcno1 everyone is different and some feel the urge to test daily, others prefer not to. I say do what makes you feel good!

cdn298 · 16/08/2023 09:58

Morning everyone! Hope you're all well? I have had some v v faint spotting this morning 😥 trying to stay positive as I know it can be normal! I had 3 bleeds during the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy with DS which were all alot worse. I also still have symptoms so keeping everything crossed!!

cdn298 · 16/08/2023 15:24

I've just had more blood. Don't know what to think 😩😭

Ttcmumma · 16/08/2023 16:13

@cdn298 have you given your local epu a call to see if they'd like to see you? They told me any pain or bleeding to call them right away x

cdn298 · 16/08/2023 16:17

I'm going to phone them once I finish work. Not feeling too positive though now :(

Ttcmumma · 16/08/2023 16:20

@cdn298 do you have pain with it or just bleeding? My mum bled for up to 18 weeks on and off with me and I'm 27 now. They actually didn't give her any appointments until she called them to see what was going on at 18 weeks and they said 'oh we assumed you miscarried!' Rubbish care 27 years ago clearly 😅 but I had no health issues or anything. So bleeding doesn't have to mean the end! Just worth getting checked out incase they can do anything to help or advise you x

cdn298 · 16/08/2023 16:25

No pain, just bleeding. I bled a few times up to 12 weeks with my DS.

But i also had a loss before DS and had no pain, just bleeding.

I'll give them a call when I finish work x

Ttcmumma · 16/08/2023 16:26

@cdn298 fingers crossed for you Hun, hope it all goes well x

jeepjeep4 · 16/08/2023 18:11

@cdn298 sending you lots of positivity and best wishes

jodie000 · 17/08/2023 10:06

@cdn298 hope you're ok today 🫶

cdn298 · 17/08/2023 10:08

I'm ok thank you. I tried to call the EPU yesterday but kept going to answer phone and then it closed at 5.30. I will try and call again today on my lunch break. I have had more bleeding and had cramps last night so it's not looking good anyway unfortunately :(

WolfMother326 · 17/08/2023 12:14

@cdn298 I really hope you get seen soon and can get some clarity. Sorry you're experiencing this 💔

WolfMother326 · 17/08/2023 13:12

How is everyone doing today?

I'm feeling a little nervous for some reason, just that time is moving a bit slowly and I can't wait to at least be at 6 weeks. I think taking another weeks test this weekend will help if it says 3+ (got 2-3 last Saturday, when app said I'm 4 weeks). I feel like I'm not letting myself get excited about the pregnancy yet because of being 39, but hoping I can feel more secure as things move along. Like I started picturing telling my dad when he visits in early October. I hope I get to do that 🙏

DizzyM43 · 17/08/2023 13:37

@cdn298 hoping things are ok and you get seen at last 🙏 🍀

@WolfMother326
I'm nervous as well obvs a bit older than you and around the same dates wise. I'm gonna test tomorrow a week after my 1st 2~3 weeks. I've been feeling really sick this morning but think it's finally easing I'm taking nausea as a good sign and really hoping things go well this time. Wishing you well

Mrsttcno1 · 17/08/2023 14:18

@WolfMother326 I feel exactly the same. I feel like time is going so slowly I just want to fast forward a month or 2😂 my Clearblue “how many weeks” tests have arrived today so I’ll be taking my first one of those tomorrow! I think I’m about 4 weeks 3/4 days so not sure what to expect but we will see!

We have booked a weekend away next weekend and actually have a week off work next week so I’m hoping having some time away will make me feel a bit happier! Xx

WolfMother326 · 17/08/2023 14:43

Thanks @Mrsttcno1 and @DizzyM43. Always helps to have others going through same thing. I haven't had many symptoms yet but that's not unusual for me, didn't have any until 6 or 7 weeks first time around.

Oh and pee test to confirm for pregnancy, as I guess they can't just take everyone's word for it! So be ready to pee. I once forgot and went having just peed and really struggled to fill the pot 🤣

When I had my daughter my midwife tested my wee and I asked if that was to check I was pregnant and she said oh no we don't actually check for that, I'm checking for a UTI. I was so shocked they didn't test! Maybe it's regional??

faban · 17/08/2023 18:52

@cdn298 really hope the bleeding is harmless, hopefully because you've had it before it is xx

@Hannah4850 how are you feeling?

Feel like we're all quite anxious atm, I don't remember being anxious at all with my daughter and then i was super chilled last month and had a Cp so the nerves are real xx

jenn88 · 17/08/2023 21:16

Hi all! Sorry for lack of response!! I think I've caught up! Huge congratulations to those testing positive and getting those 3+ on the digitals!!

@cdn298 thinking of you and hoping all is ok xx

I should be 5 weeks today, bloating is real and the constipation isn't fun!!

@jodie000 I have had booking in appointments at my GP practice and at home! I've never been asked to wee either to confirm a pregnancy or test for Infection at a booking in appointment! I think different areas have different requirements!

I have been able to register the pregnancy already online with my local areas maternity team and it's says to expect a 1st appointment anywhere up until 9th week of pregnancy!

I haven't booked an early reassurance scan, still in two minds...

jodie000 · 17/08/2023 21:51

@Ttcmumma @faban @jenn88 I got a call back from a midwife at the medical centre yesterday who said a booking appointment had been made for me in two weeks time (that they didn't tell me about🤦‍♀️) so at least that's booked now. She said it would take 1 hour -1.5 hrs and to not have a wee beforehand so there will be a urine test for something...

Sweetyyxooxox · 17/08/2023 21:58

is this positive?

The first app is sooooo long cos they basically just ask you about your life/ Isit a planned pregnancy/ family history. It's a lonnnnng one.

Yeah I deffo remember having the convo cos my midwife was laughing saying oh yeah we don't even check. I guess Its too risky in case it's a negative and it's really positive but I keep reading about the hook effect? Anyway they'll be deffo checking for a UTI and you'll have to let us know if they do a pregnancy test 🤣

faban · 17/08/2023 22:01

@Sweetyyxooxox how many DPO are you? I can see a hint of something in the black and white one. Can you tell if it has any colour?

faban · 17/08/2023 22:01

I can see a line in the second pic but it looks too close to the control line but I can see something in the prober one

Sweetyyxooxox · 17/08/2023 22:03

I’m not sure because I took a plan b last month n it messed up my cycle but my last period was July 15th
