Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

@HelloMoon87 i was taking coq10 but stopped when i tested positive. I couldn’t work out if it was ok to continue to take or not so didn’t want to risk it.

As for the good nights rest, I’ve been awake since half 3 😩

sugarplum33 · 11/08/2023 06:22

I was absolutely exhausted yesterday then wide awake as soon as I got into bed. Think I ended up sleeping about 12:30-5:40 so I'm sure I'll be exhausted again today. Good old insomnia!

@Floralsandsmiles I've been thinking of you and hope you've been okay overnight.

Floralsandsmiles · 11/08/2023 07:05

Morning ladies, thank you for your kind messages. I hope you are all ok?

So I've woken up and hotter than hell! I've done a CB test and still positive and I'd say stronger than the initial one. However lots of spotting this morning! I even had a tiny clot last night. So I'm thinking maybe this is a CP. Everywhere I have read says some spotting could still be OK, but not as much as I've had or the little clot.. 😒
Even if the test got me hopeful this morning as its darker.. 😒

Xxxx

CinderRosie · 11/08/2023 08:50

@Floralsandsmiles this sounds so confusing for you. Bodies can do weird things and early pregnancy is such a minefield, the fact you're getting strong and darker positives must be a good sign?
I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed for you Flowers

I was wide awake at 4am again 🙄Needed a wee, but then couldn't get back to sleep. Eventually drifted off whilst listening to a sleep meditation thing on YouTube lol, and was still awake before my 6:30 alarm for work. Can't wait for the weekend to lay in slightly later or have an afternoon nap if I need.

I'm meeting my Mum this afternoon and I'm stressed she will somehow be able to tell I'm pregnant or will work it out. No alcohol involved so I'm ok in that sense.. I'm worried I'll somehow blurt it out Confused

Boymama22 · 11/08/2023 09:08

@Floralsandsmiles sending hugs! Such a confusing time for you

Floralsandsmiles · 11/08/2023 09:22

Thank you ladies, I'm really so stressed about this. We think we just need to wait for AF to arrive as spotting seems to be quite abit now and each time I wipe.. but look at these positives this morning! So confusing! Xxx

@HelloMoon87 I was taking COQ10 and didn't even think to stop taking it... 😳

HelloMoon87 · 11/08/2023 12:42

@Angloitalian83 don't think it makes any difference! I stopped just because I forgot and then when I remembered, I noticed maybe it's useless to take now.

HelloMoon87 · 11/08/2023 12:43

@Floralsandsmiles hope you're ok. I'm also worrying here. Unfortunately, the only thing we can do is wait and see, this early. I think by Monday, we will know a bit more, so at least let's get through the weekend without too much stress.

SeasideSunshineSussex · 11/08/2023 16:01

I've got a horrible cough and cold and worrying (probably unreasonably so!) that it will affect the baby - I'm 5 and a half weeks. Any pregnancy friendly remedy's people recommend? The cold mixed with nausea is not a combination I'm enjoying 😅🤧

Boymama22 · 11/08/2023 16:16

@Floralsandsmiles they look like good positives for now. On my CP last month they never got that dark. Fingers crossed for you.

@HelloMoon87 it's such a difficult time isn't it! Early pregnancy by far for me thus far has brought on the most stress, just constantly worrying if things are ok, sending hugs x

wiedehopf · 11/08/2023 16:27

Ah same! Also dealing with a horrible cough, also 5 and a half weeks, no other symptoms though. Worried about the physical stress from coughing but also really unsure about what medicine to take… all I can offer is solidarity!

19EMMA89 · 11/08/2023 16:48

Does anyone else just not feel pregnant ? I haven't had any symptoms today or yesterday and I can't help but stress 😂

LouH93 · 11/08/2023 16:53

@19EMMA89 yep! I keep thinking when i go to my 8 week scan they are going to be like ’umm… you are not pregnant’ lol as if the 11 tests i’ve taken could all be false positives or something 🤣

19EMMA89 · 11/08/2023 16:56

@LouH93 I might have to keep mine as proof coz I feel like that exact scenario is going to happen to me 😂😂😂😂

SummerOak · 11/08/2023 17:07

I felt pregnant last week with all the cramps. Now I'm only tired and have sore boobs, but that almost feels like regular PMS. I haven't test since Wednesday when it was super positive. I'll test again on Sunday just to reassure my it's still there.

Bugdem123 · 11/08/2023 18:31

I’m also paranoid that the 2938484 positive tests I’ve done this week weren’t accurate 😂.
I’ve had really sore cramps all week and was really anxious about them. They’re much less today and now I’m anxious about that. Early pregnancy is no joke haha. So far, other than the cramps, my boobs are sore and I’m tired by like 8/9pm. Simultaneously want the nausea to start and am dreading it!

19EMMA89 · 11/08/2023 18:41

@Bugdem123 So glad to hear this too ! I've had cramps , anxious about them ... Had no cramps , anxious about that ... I want the symptoms but then they scare me and then no symptoms scare me ! I've no idea how to just chill out about all this !

Hi All 👋🏻

Jumping on the chat! Hope you don't mind me being here.

I'm exactly 6 weeks today, EDD 4th April 2024 and praying HARD for my rainbow baby after 2 recent miscarriages.

I had a blood test today to check my HCG so that I can get booked in for an early scan and my HCG level was 4838.

When the midwife rang with results she said "You're levels are nice and high so we can book you in for a scan". I'm booked in on Wednesday next week.

Now, I know these levels vary A LOT with each person and I am in the expected range for 6 weeks (152 - 32,177), but every post I've seen on here (not this chat, Mumsnet in general) regarding HCG around 6 weeks, most have either been in the 20,000's at least or extremely low with pending miscarriage.

I can't help but worry and it's driving me nuts because they haven't asked me to go back for another blood test so I won't know if they're doubling!

Is anybody else around the same hcg range as me at 6 weeks??

Thanks ☺️

SurreyPsych · 11/08/2023 19:10

Hi all, I stopped checking back here after the move over to Facebook (I don’t have Facebook) so I’m thrilled to see that it’s still going. I’ll be here more regularly now, hope that’s okay.

According to LMP I’m 6 wks 3 days. Booked a scan for 2 wks time because my work situation is complex and the dates make things really tricky (a story for another day).

I hope people are feeling a little better, especially @HelloMoon87 and @Floralsandsmiles

CinderRosie · 11/08/2023 20:30

I’ve bitten the bullet and booked a scan with window to the womb for 9th September, for when I’ll be 8 weeks exactly. Wasn’t planning on booking it just yet but when I was browsing the availability they only seem to have mornings, and a lot of slots had already gone when DH and I are both available.
I’m scared I’ve jinxed something now Confused the booking email says it’ll be transvaginal as well which I wasn’t expecting, just hope it’s not too uncomfortable…

SurreyPsych · 11/08/2023 20:40

I had exactly the same surprise @CinderRosie I looked back and it’s in the smaller print but I didn’t realise before booking.

The branch local to me is only open a few days per week I’ll be 8 wks 2 days according to LMP but I’ve booked with the sole purpose of having some more accurate dates to work towards

hi lovely sorry no advice about the hcg levels but because the midwife said she was happy I would take that as a great sign!xx

CinderRosie · 11/08/2023 20:43

@SurreyPsych glad it’s not just me who didn’t realise! Thanks for the reassurance @faban, and at least it says no full bladder required 😂
