Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

How's everyone doing? I'm worrying about lack of symptoms but I'm tired and boobs hurt and I'm only 4 weeks so suppose that's normal! Trying to resist ordering more tests!

Really worried about lack of symptoms! Trying to really calm myself down but other than the very lightest of cramping I’ve had no symptoms at all!

Also struggling to work out my due date- does anyone know if it’s more accurate to go by ovulation date or first day of last period?

It doesn’t matter much but would would make me 4+5 & the other would make me 5+1! I know it’s not a huge difference but it would make me feel better with not having many symptoms if I was in my fourth week but also time is going so slowly that I want to be as far along as possible.

Maybe all my spiralling is a symptom 😂

faban · 07/08/2023 13:29

@BVIre I think it's best to go of last period. Time is going SO slowly. I found this last time- 4-8 went so slowly. Also, last time I barely had any symptoms and had a healthy baby so I know it's normal but still!

okay okay then I’m 5+1 today! That’s reassuring thanks!!

We’ve booked an early scan for the start of September around 8 weeks so just need to keep ticking down the days!

also I dont know about you but because of the lack of symptoms I feel I’m over analysing everything like am I peeing more than usual? Am I burping more than usual? Honestly can’t tell at all! Feeling like symptoms are going to hit me & it’ll all catch up and I’ll be cursing my current self!

Butterfliesandroses · 07/08/2023 17:52

@BVIre I've been feeling the exact same! It's reassuring to know I'm not alone!

So good to know❤️ I am secretly hoping symptoms kick in soon (call me crazy)

Do any of the second/third time mothers have absolutely no breast tenderness whatsoever? I had it with my first two pregnancies so it's rather disconcerting that I'm feeling

Poppins2016 · 07/08/2023 20:15

Grr, finger slipped! I'll try again...

Do any of the second/third time mothers have absolutely no breast tenderness whatsoever? I had it with my first two pregnancies so it's rather disconcerting that I'm feeling absolutely nothing right now. I'm still breastfeeding my 22 month old, so it's particularly obvious! I'm only 4 weeks (tomorrow), but I'm sure I felt something by now with my last two! I do have other symptoms, which is somewhat reassuring... and I know I'm probably overthinking it all!

Yep none whatsoever (2nd time mum to be hopefully), I didn't the first time either though. In fact my tiny barely B boobs didn't change at all during my first pregnancy so for some reason I was convinced I'd not be able to breastfeed- then as soon as my milk came in my boobs basically exploded and I had oversupply for the first few months lol.

I did Google it and it seems that it might be to do with having lactated before (the theory seems to be fewer physical changes = less tenderness). Just have to remember that every pregnancy is different/doesn't necessarily indicate problems, I guess!

My boobs are tender but that's my only symptom. Im a few days ahead of you tho and it's only been recently. I'm hoping that I get more symptoms but I know I'll be wishing I enjoyed this time at the start 😂

Also how bloody slowly is the time going 😂

becburg · 08/08/2023 02:23

Hi All,

I got my BFP on Thursday and my EDD is 11th April. I've had to tell my boss due to the risk my job poses which is not ideal. I suffered a miscarriage as a teenager so this is my second pregnancy. I'm 32 now and petrified of something happing. I have completed the referral for the booking appointment but I'm still waiting for it to come through. Is anyone doing for a private early scan? Are they worth it?

Also I am suffering with insomnia so if anyone has any tips id be grateful!

faban · 08/08/2023 07:26

@becburg welcome and congratulations! I had a private scan with my first baby and it's deff worth it. I've got one booked at 8 weeks this time.

Yoga helps me abit but it's horrible!

BVIre · 08/08/2023 07:36

I’ve booked an early scan as well for 8 weeks & then got my letter from the hospital through this morning for my first midwife appointment! Also got my first dye stealer this morning so think I’m going to stop with the tests now!

becburg · 08/08/2023 08:09
