My scan went well, apparently I had a haematoma which was released that caused the bleedinh but I'm measuring exactly what I should be, 9+4 and the sonograpger wasn't concerned at all.
Feeling much more at ease now x

@MrsC2711 That's so nice that they shortened it to 8 days for you! I don't live in the UK, I'm Irish living in another European country so it is a bit complicated navigating the system. I'm registered at a maternity hospital already and I can go to their Emergency department at any time I have something serious going on. If anything happens before the two weeks are up I think I can just go back and be seen again.

@DmcinT I only used my first progesterone pessary last night but I think it went okay, I tried to fall asleep without moving around too much so it could just do it's job. I feel a bit better after seeing the little heart going but it's still early days so I probably won't relax until I get past this first trimester.

@moosey89 The measurements can really mess with a person's head, I only dtd on two days in my fertile window and I was using ovulation tests so it's really bothering me that they couldn't get an exact estimation of how far along I am. All logic is telling me I should be 8 weeks today, hopefully me and you both can see some nice growth really soon!

Congratulations to the ladies that have had positive scan results and good luck to those with upcoming scans too.. @moosey89 I'm measuring 6 days behind according to my last scan so don't give up hope just yet, hopefully little baby will of caught up by a few days, when is your next scan? x

Random question to all, but when is the right time to start using bio oil or something for pregnancy stretch marks? I don't want to leave it too late but I feel really foolish rubbing stuff on my stomach that is currently completely unchanged!

I’ve started yesterday @LavenderSweetPea but believe it or not I’ve got a few stretch marks appearing already 🙄I had a tummy tuck 18 months ago and I’m thinking it’s maybe that that’s hasn’t helped but I have a very visible bump already which I know is bloat but I feel sooooo frumpy lol

I had a scan this morning due to a couple of episodes of bleeding. Some small marginal areas of bleeding were seen but a 6+5 fetal pole with a heartbeat was seen, exactly matching my dates. Fingers crossed all continues as it should.

Could someone please add me to the list for 29th Feb?

Good luck everyone having scans today. Mine is tomorrow afternoon and I think I’m going to spend all morning anxious, really wish it was first thing to get it over and done with.

@moosey89 keeping my fingers crossed for you. I keep reading how many times babies measure so differently so early on and they can catch up quick - I hope it’s the same for you.

@LavenderSweetPea You can use anytime lovely, I used throughout my first twice a day and didn’t get any stretch marks and I’ve just started again with this second now, to keep on top of the stretch xx

Hi all, I had a scan today. Measuring exactly as I calculated by ovulation- 7+5. Heartbeat and all looks normal. Only one in there ;). Feeling happy to know that all looks well so far, especially given how utterly crappy I’ve been feeling the last couple of weeks.

@LavenderSweetPea start as soon as possible, I did this with both of my pregnancies and didn't get 1 stretch mark, even with twins. I used palmers cocoa butter every morning and then once my bump got bigger, I'd use coconut oil for the evening

Oww mine was inconclusive. Measuring right on track (7+1) but heart rate was 117 so the sonographer said to come back again to check it rises soon.

@Cheetocat right?? The sonographer said to me that before 12 weeks once they scan they look at those measurements, so hopefully follow up scans show growth.

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX Monday - 6 days! Seems so far away... I'm not that optimistic but I'm not out until there's no heartbeat so got to keep on going!

@Tilly18101 thank you, really appreciate how supportive everyone is in here. Just got to take it one day at a time and hold on to that tiny bit of hope x

im in for my second scan of the day with EPU this time (just so happened they fell on same day) waiting room is completely full and so warm 🤢 id day I’ll be here for a few hrs waiting 🫣😩

@User0224 im sorry it was inconclusive, what should the heart rate be did they say? When will they bring u back?

@Golaz lovely to see ur scan news, a nice relief ❤️ When will u scan again do u think? I don’t know if I will have another one now before my 12 week one (I’m only 8 weeks now but maybe I’ll ask for one around 10 weeks I’m not sure)

@Mismatc great news on ur scan too🥰❤️ It’s funny how many of us with scans today, I suppose around week 7-9 is prob a popular time for early scans

@DmcinT sadly the most I could be out is a couple of days max - positive ovulation test on the Saturday morning, DTD Sunday evening, no other possible day to get pregnant that month thanks to work schedules! So assuming the maximum of 2 days after positive ovulation test, that would still only be 1-2 days out. Allowing for a couple of days variance in the scan (they allow 3-5) and say late implantation, the most I can get to is around 7-8 days later than I thought, which still leaves an additional 4 days. The maths isn't mathsing! Which is why I think it's going to end in miscarriage/missed miscarriage, but we will have to wait and see.

Rescan is 9am on Monday xx

@moosey89 its nearly worse knowing exactly our dates, I’d be the same as used opks etc… I’ve deff heard of ppl being out with dates up to 14 days though, fertilisation and implantation can all be much later than we think so I’m keeping everything crossed for u that ur little bean catches up over the next few weeks 🤞🏽🙏🏽

@User0224 I know the feeling, a lot of the time I come out not having asked Qs I was adamant to ask etc.. in fairness 117 isn’t much lower than the 120 so please god that increases now over the next few days ❤️

@moosey89 at my local EPAU they said to me anything between 5-7 days either side :/ as according to my LMP I should be 9weeks&1day but my scan last week on the 3rd measured me at 7weeks&1day when I should of been 8 so I'm just short a week behind x

@DmcinT absolutely - I wish I wasn't sure of my dates, I'd definitely be more relaxed! I also got a BFP at like 4 weeks which doesn't help. Still, nothing I can do except wait and try to hold on to hope.

Just such a mind game isn’t it - being pregnant. Here we are in 2023 with so much tech at our disposal and we still aren’t able to give women assurances about their pregnancies!

I've got my rescan tomorrow morning after an empty sac a couple of weeks ago. Praying for a bean and heartbeat. I'm so anxious I can't concentrate at all today! I'm meant to be working but all I've done most of the day is look at the prime sale 😬 and googling what ultrasounds should like like - literally torturing myself 🤦🏼‍♀️ xx

i deff feel relieved after today but the nerves will start again tomorr as I know anything can happen at this early stage🙈 I’m back in next Friday now for another early reassurance scan. I feel they’ve been so amazing at my EPU, so kind and caring ❤️ They gave me like 8 pics of baba today 😂 it’s the same dr from my MMC scans in March/April so she was so understanding on how nervous I was
