@SparkleFly how are you? Is your scan still tomorrow? If so then good luck

How's everyone else? I've got a sore head today, been having them on and off but think it's my shoulder being sore/tight! Booked in a prenatal physio appointment on wed so see if she can help with the aches and pains! I usually get a massage on that shoulder regularly due to previous damage from multiple car accidents (none my fault of course 😂)

Anyway I'm feeling sorry for myself, all my clothes are now starting to feel really tight as well! And I feel massive like I'm putting on so much weight! Fun fun fun

HashB · 11/09/2023 17:35

@vvit thank you. I called my EPU regarding this (like you, don’t know progesterone is a problem but will try whatever) and they want to blood test me at 6 weeks and then send me for a scan before considering progesterone.
did you just find any fertility specialist near you?

SparkleFly · 11/09/2023 18:56

@suz2285 thanks, yeah it's still tomorrow afternoon. Will keep you posted. Crossing everything that it's all ok. Am having pregnancy symptoms that I had with my now 3 year old but I'm so paranoid that it's all in my head.

Brokenpancreas94 · 12/09/2023 10:56

Good luck today @SparkleFly ❤️

SparkleFly · 12/09/2023 15:07

Hi girls, thanks for all your support. Just to say my 7 week scan was all good 🥹
I can breathe a sigh of relief for approximately 5 minutes until I start getting anxious again for the 12 week scan...!!
It's going to be a loooong 5 weeks. x

TheBirdintheCave · 12/09/2023 15:08

That's great news @SparkleFly ! :D

suz2285 · 12/09/2023 16:00

@SparkleFly ah fantastic news! Everything crossed for you! I know what you mean about being anxious again in 5 mins 😂

I've just spent the afternoon going round work telling everyone as my maternity post will be advertised soon 😂 kinda forced me to tell people, everyone very nice and saying I'm not showing yet even tho I feel massive and I'm over halfway now! Apart from one honest woman who said last week she 'thought I used to be slimmer' lucky she's lovely and it made me laugh! 😂😂

tulipsunday · 12/09/2023 17:55

Ah brilliant news @SparkleFly

@suz2285 ha the things some people come out with 😂 At 23wks I am definitely showing. Can't fit into a lot of my regular clothes so my vinted maternity haul is proving useful. Feeling generally good though do wake on and off in early hours of the morning with an uncomfortable back.. cue lots of tossing and turning 🤦‍♀️

@tulipsunday so funny the weird things people say! She's right tho I've put on weight 🤣 obviously! I'm definitely showing too; but just not wearing anything tight at work yet but I'll have to soon as I have not many clothes that fit!

My back is killing me, I've got an appointment with a pregnancy physio tomorrow about my back and neck! And then Pilates on Friday to get some strengthening exercises to do!

I've also bought leggings and jeans from Vinted but trying to hold off buying anything else! Hopefully the stuff I bought still fits when it's cooler! It's been too hot to wear any of it yet! 😂

tulipsunday · 12/09/2023 18:15

Hope the physio goes well. Good idea on the Pilates. I need to get into a routine for yoga/Pilates. Think with the heat I have just felt so drained come the evening but now it's cooler no excuses 😂

suz2285 · 12/09/2023 18:22

@tulipsunday honestly I have good days where I feel energised but 90% of the days I just can't be bothered! Have been super lazy with my exercise but hoping I will get into a better routine with daily exercise to prevent the pain 😂😂 it's a thought tho!

I'm def noticing my pelvis tilt being worse now the weight is coming in the front!!

Brokenpancreas94 · 13/09/2023 18:52

Had my second attempt at the fetal echo today...and this baby is a naughty boy 😂 still not a clear view of the heart, well she managed to see the chambers and vessels today, but she's not sure if she is concerned about the size of his pulmonary trunk, so I've got to go back in 3 weeks for another scan!🥲
Still have a UTI too, had it for over a month now!

Hope everyone else is doing okay xx

TheBirdintheCave · 13/09/2023 20:11

@Brokenpancreas94 Naughty baby! 😂

I'm ok. Just trucking along painfully slowly. I'm still only 5+0 tomorrow 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Nausea hit a little harder this morning but I'm desperate for it to ramp up to the same horrible levels as it did with my son. It didn't get that bad with all of the miscarriages so I'll be very concerned if it never develops 😕

Brokenpancreas94 · 13/09/2023 20:17

@TheBirdintheCave very naughty, causing me stress he is 😂🙈

See I thought something was wrong this time around as I had nausea and other symptoms this time around whereas with my daughter, all I had was bloating! Try not to worry too much, BUT I know that's easier said than done ❤️xx

SparkleFly · 13/09/2023 21:57

@TheBirdintheCave it's like walking through treacle isn't it, every day just seems so long and your mind is just on overdrive. I can't stop comparing to my pregnancy with my son either. I don't feel as exhausted in the evenings, but then again I'm used to being tired now so I don't know if I've just adapted to constant tiredness!

Crossing my fingers for you that all is ok. When will you get your first scan?

TheBirdintheCave · 14/09/2023 06:59

@SparkleFly It's on the 28th. Two days after my birthday. I'll be 7 weeks.

suz2285 · 14/09/2023 07:29

@TheBirdintheCave plenty time for it to ramp up, I think weeks 7-10 were worst for me but as @Brokenpancreas94 says the symptoms are different in every pregnancy! It's a stress though I know, wishing for nausea 😂

God I am so achy, everything aches for like a week now, went to the physio last night to try and ease everything off. But usually results in more achy ness for a few days! And I had flu and covid vaccines yest so both my arms are achy too! 😂😂

TheBirdintheCave · 14/09/2023 08:37

@suz2285 It's purely because out of the three previous pregnancies that progressed light nausea = miscarriage and heavy nausea = live birth. So to me, if I don't get it badly then I'm doomed again.

tulipsunday · 14/09/2023 15:21

@TheBirdintheCave it is so hard isn't it as we do naturally compare to what we have experienced. My two healthy pregnancies have had quite different levels of nausea.

@Brokenpancreas94 ha oh dear well at least another scan is always a nice opportunity to see them wriggling around.

Have gone off tea this pregnancy but just re-discovered Horlicks think may become a daily thing now!

TheBirdintheCave · 14/09/2023 15:30

@tulipsunday That's reassuring to know :)

Brokenpancreas94 · 14/09/2023 17:04

@tulipsunday oh yes definitely and it's on a big tv screen in front of the bed too, so can just lay back and watch him, kick and fling his arms about 😂 and listen to the consultant saying how he's a "naughty boy" 😂 but he is making me worried, want him to just show his heart properly so we can hopefully be discharged!

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/09/2023 13:12

Hi has anyone developed travel sickness since being pregnant? I never usually suffer with travel sickness but the last few days or so I feel extremely sick when travelling in a car or on a bus! 😫

HopeAndStrength · 15/09/2023 13:38

No travel sickness @Brokenpancreas94 but I have been to the doctor because of congestion affecting my hearing. My ears feel like I'm on a plane, lots of pressure.
Apparently it's hormonal and linked to snoring during pregnancy.

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/09/2023 15:25

@HopeAndStrength oh gosh that doesn't sound fun! Today I woke up feeling hungover, head is killing me and then the nausea, it's defo a ride, taking anti-sickness tablets again, which is funnnnn....I'm not complaining honest 😂😬

suz2285 · 15/09/2023 17:30

@Brokenpancreas94 my normal travel sickness is def worse if I even so much as look at my phone in the car now 😂
I'm also suffering from headaches and constantly sneezing and congested

I also have been totally wiped by the flu and covid jabs the last 2 days, tired, achy and hot/headachy! So I've not done much productive thur/fri! Had the day off today and literally haven't got out of my jammies!
