@Ladyinpink1 theyre so solid I dread to think what they’ll be like if I don’t feed for a few hours🤣

@tulipsunday we stayed on delivery suite the night she was born, were home by the next day!

Horriblewoman · 03/08/2023 08:55

Sorry to interrupt all the lovely baby news!

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant again (two miscarriages, no successful pregnancy ever).

I wish I was excited but I’m so so worried it’s going to happen again, how do you get over this? To top it off I have 0 symptoms (14 dpo).

Is it worth seeing a GP? But what will they do? I am so not anxious normally!

Hankthehonk · 03/08/2023 09:50

@Horriblewoman First of all, congratulations! I'm 10 weeks pregnant after a miscarriage in March and I'm still anxious but in the last week it has finally started to ease a bit.
I spoke to my gp early on about how anxious i was. She was kind and did the blood tests I asked for but there was nothing she could really do. It's still worth speaking to yours, at least it feels proactive. I've also had a helpful conversation with a kind midwife who did my booking bloods.
In honesty though I don't have advice to get over it, I wish I did. Just keep busy, look after yourself and take it a day at a time. There's every chance things will be ok this time.

WitcheryDivine · 03/08/2023 14:33

Congratulations!

I also wish I had advice on how not to worry, but it would be hypocritical to pretend I was managing that. One thing that someone else on here posted was this Miscarriage Odds Reassurer: https://datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer which uses data to show how much more likely you are to have a baby than a miscarriage, and shows how the odds increase as you get further along. I've found that weirdly comforting at times.

The only other thing I can suggest is pressing for medical attention/help if you're worried something has gone wrong again. Don't be fobbed off. And DO tell your midwife how you're feeling when you get that far, mine has been lovely and referred me to some extra support (that I'm still waiting for mind).

I think it's very hard before you have a midwife to speak to - I wish there was more support in place for those first few weeks, it's a horrible time when you're feeling like this xx

J2023xx · 03/08/2023 16:18

@Horriblewoman Congratulations 💕

I also have had two previous miscarriages and no children yet. I’m currently 7+4 and the anxiety is hard. But I’m really trying to take each day as it comes. Will your local EPU support you? Mine said to call when next pregnant as they’d give me two early reassurance scans, I had one at 6 weeks and my next is when I’ll be 9+1.

Also I had no symptoms at 14 DPO, sore boobs and tiredness started when around 5.5 weeks.

Take care of yourself xx

EMHME · 03/08/2023 22:06

@Horriblewoman Congratulations! I was in the same position as you, two miscarriages and full of worry about my third pregnancy. At times I felt like it was inevitable that I would lose this one too. Anyway, I had my dating scan today at 13+4 and everything was looking good. I'm in the happy, confident post-scan glow atm and will probably regain some of the worry in a few days, but I feel flipping brilliant right now, and I hope you get to feel this way soon too. 🙂

I also had no symptoms at all, apart from a week of very mild, occasional nausea and bloating around 7/8 weeks and occasional lightheadedness. This was the same in all three pregnancies so my midwife said I'm probably just someone who isn't affected much by the hormones. I didn't even get the famous sore boobs until after i started taking progesterone in week 10.

Ladyinpink1 · 03/08/2023 22:15

Hi @Horriblewoman congratulations and i'm sorry for your previous losses. I am just over 9 weeks, and I am starting to feel a bit more relaxed after I went for an early scan a week ago, before that I was very anxious, checking the toilet roll every time I wiped and really feeling consumed by the worry and how I would deal with it etc so you are not alone and I hope that soon you will reach a stage where you will feel a little better then the next stage a little better again etc.

As for no symptoms, I have not really had many symptoms this time, so if you don't get any, it can be completely normal and as pp said it may be too early, you may get some very soon.

This is a great thread and really understanding, kind ladies on it so I think you will get some help and support here 🙂 x

Ladyinpink1 · 03/08/2023 22:20

Congratulations on all going well with your scan @EMHME, pleased for you! 💜

Did your dates change at all? x

tulipsunday · 04/08/2023 06:26

Welcome @Horriblewoman totally understand the anxiety. It does get better as the weeks past though I will still check the toilet paper at 17 weeks! I had a son in 2020 then two miscarriages in a row last year.

@EMHME great news about the scan!

Just typing here in bed at 6:24 on the weekend as awake needed a wee couldn't get comfy etc 😂 god damn it

tulipsunday · 04/08/2023 06:27

Well technically not the weekend but feels like it as DH has the day off and we are off to the in laws. Looking forward to a bit of help with my son for a few days.

EMHME · 04/08/2023 07:50

Oh God yes, the holding your breath and psyching yourself up to look at the toilet paper after every wee! And the stress when you forget and drop it in without looking! Our poor nerves are in shreds aren't they?

@Ladyinpink1 My dates didn't change actually. I've had some early scans at EPU and weirdly baby has been measuring dead on for LMP each time. Maybe they will be a very punctual and diligent person! So my due date is 4th Feb.

KsMumma · 04/08/2023 08:09

When did people get 3+ weeks on clear blue?

I had a miscarriage at 7weeks but it had stopped developing at 4w4days. I’m currently 5w2days and still showing 2-3 weeks on clear blue so worried it’s happened again. (GP won’t do HCG blood test)

Nmvasey85 · 04/08/2023 08:11

@KsMumma I've not done one as I know if I didn't see what I was hoping for, I'd stress. Apparently some people never get a 3+ and have perfectly healthy pregnancies

WhiteHorse92 · 04/08/2023 08:11

I've asked my son multiple times whether he'd like a baby brother or sister and he says baby sister everytime 😍. I've started asking him what he would like to call a baby sister and he keeps saying 'four-four?' 😂. When I ask what he'd like to call a baby brother he says 'baby sister' 😂. He's only 2 years and 5 months so don't think he really knows what's going on though tbf 😂

Horriblewoman · 04/08/2023 08:36

Thank you for your kindness. I found myself peering at toilet paper this morning thinking I could see something darker but then realised that I’ve lost my freakin’ mind.

argh we’re trying to stay positive and both of us keeping telling it to stick around this time.

I just want some ruddy symptoms but only being less than 5 weeks I’m using that as the reason!

J2023xx · 04/08/2023 09:33

@KsMumma I tested at 5+1 and it was 2-3 then tested again 5+6 and it was 3+ and I had a reassurance scan at EPU at 6+1 and there was splodge with a little heartbeat!

I also was stressing but found threads of people saying they got theirs around 6-7 weeks or never and all was ok. I know easier said than done but please try not to stress 😘 x

Brokenpancreas94 · 04/08/2023 17:16

@KsMumma I tested around 4/5 weeks and it said 1-2 but I didn't do anymore digital because I was too scared of it not changing but I did loadssss of other tests instead! I'm not 15+4 weeks xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 05/08/2023 13:24

Anyone else struggling with second trimester headaches 😫

WitcheryDivine · 05/08/2023 13:33

Oh is that a thing? I thought I was just working too hard.

WhiteHorse92 · 05/08/2023 15:45

Had my scan today and we are expecting a baby girl!! I really started to convince myself it was another boy so it was a nice surprise, as soon as he got the view between the legs I could tell straight away it was a girl before he said 😍. In all the excitement I totally forgot to ask about the placenta position but I'm sure it looks posterior high same as my pregnancy with my son. I've felt little baby movements the last few days at 16 weeks so would be very surprised if it's anterior 😅

ChloeN · 05/08/2023 15:50

@WhiteHorse92 ahh lovely news🩷🩷
