@wannabemum38 i hear ya! It’s unbearable isn’t it. I was supposed to have my gender scan next week but I’ve moved it to tonight to give me some reassurance after recent pains!
it’s so hard to enjoy something that seems so far away still doesn’t it. Hope you’re ok!

How did your scan go lovely? You feeling any better?

99SR · 04/07/2023 16:47

@Georgia31 aww thanks for asking! Yeah all went fab, found out we’re having a girl 🩷
lady said we’re measuring a few days behind but said not to worry (naturally I panicked and googled it for about 2 hours when I got home) but I’m aware people measure differently and baby might have been lying awkwardly etc. going to try not dwell on it too much!! I’m sure she will catch up 🩷
hope you’re well!

RG84 · 04/07/2023 17:08

@99SR congratulations amazing news on your little girl :) hope you are doing okay and try not to worry, she will catch up!

Georgia31 · 04/07/2023 19:45

@99SR oh Congratulations lovely 💜
Oh, the Google hole is the worst, I'm forever on Google and then end up feeling 1000 times more worried than I did when I first started.

These baby's know how to make us worry, don't they. Try not to worry too much, you've had good news. Try to enjoy it 🥰 believe me i know its easier said than done x

smldnlove · 05/07/2023 06:54

@99SR Congraulations on your little girl! How exciting - so tempted to find out now, but going to try and hold off. Glad all went well ✨

RG84 · 05/07/2023 08:27

We are finding out on Sunday the gender. Excited and nervous for the scan.

Nclktnntt · 05/07/2023 09:07

Is anyone else struggling with their hips aching when sleeping ? I don't sleep on my back or front and have always slept on my sides - mainly my left. So I don't get when my hips are suddenly starting to ache. We were away for a few days up my husbands nans and it started on the second night so I was blaming the bed and thought nothing of it, back home last night and again they're achy. It's the muscle area just the back of the hip bones - not sure if they're apart of the glutes but anyway when I sit up and stand it goes away after a couple of steps.

Is it time for one of those funky pillows? I'm 15 weeks today so I wasn't sure if I'd need one yet.

Sairrrxx · 05/07/2023 10:04

Hi all! Had my 16 week midwife appointment yesterday and got to hear the heart beat which was cute! Did take a little while to find but got there in the end.

Got a gender scan booked in for this morning so excited!! 🩵🩷

VeeAye · 05/07/2023 10:08

@Nclktnntt I got a funky pillow at the weekend and it is helping me. I tend to sleep on my front and that was getting pretty uncomfortable. This helps me to almost sleep on my front but with some extra support to take the weight off my bump and boobs.

SMG1992 · 05/07/2023 10:52

@Sairrrxx good luck with your scan - so exciting!
I had mine last week and found out ours is a little boy. It makes it feel so much more real! I also had my midwife appointment today and got to hear the heartbeat which is so cute and just another reassurance.

bookbathnap · 05/07/2023 11:08

Ahh that’s so nice you got to hear the heartbeat! Congratulations on your little boy 🩵. Is anyone else needing a wee all the time? It’s so frustrating because I feel desperate to go and then a little trickle comes out 😩. Feeling lots of tickles in the uterus like feathers most days now and especially if I have a drink with ice in it.

RG84 · 05/07/2023 11:16

@Nclktnntt yes to the hip pain! I thought it was just me. I've always slept on my side as well. I didn't have the funky pillows during my first pregnancy but i may invest in one now. I also get hip pains when I walk alot.

@Sairrrxx good luck with the scan, hope all goes well. Definitely makes it real and can actually start shopping. I find out the gender on Sunday.

@bookbathnap yep and it's one of the annoying things about pregnancy, the constant weeing. I think I go about 5 times during the night.

bookbathnap · 05/07/2023 11:24

@Nclktnntt yes I get hip pain too. I got a pregnancy pillow quite early on and it’s been a life saver. I’d say you’re definitely ready for a pillow! Mine is a huge s-shape thing. It’s good for sitting in front of the tv in the evenings as well as sleeping.

FirstMondayInMay · 05/07/2023 11:56

@Nclktnntt yeah I’ve been getting awful hip pain! I went shopping last weekend and could have cried walking back to the car😩

I got a 9ft funky pillow on Amazon for about £18, it’s super comfy!

Nclktnntt · 05/07/2023 15:51

Investigating funky pillows tonight then 🥰 where did you all get yours from? I was looking at the U shaped ones but not sure if the S ones would be better.

I'm shopping for maternity / bigger normal clothes this week. Found a couple nice things in Sainsbury’s and just heading into H&M now 😊

Mushroo · 05/07/2023 16:27

I bought a load of stuff from h and m and the John Lewis sale. A mix of maternity and sizing up.

Also trying to find dresses I can wear now bare legs but will be ok with tights in winter - tricky trying to find clothes that are maternity, petite, fit massive boobs and work for winter and summer 😂

Sairrrxx · 05/07/2023 16:46

Thank you all :-) scan was so lovely, we are having another little boy:) he was a active little boy and wasn't shy showing us all he was a boy haha

Charlielechat · 05/07/2023 18:58

Congratulations to everyone finding out their genders recently - very exciting! We're not finding out but I did book a private scan for 16 weeks so that we can get a better view of the little one. We couldn't see much of their face/profile at the 12 week one. Hopefully see a bit in 4D too!

Does anyone else still not have a bump? I bloat throughout the day but in the morning I don't look pregnant at all!

Mushroo · 05/07/2023 19:37

@Charlielechat i thought I didn’t yesterday (was still wearing my jeans) but seem to have popped today! Although I’m wearing a tight dress so it might just be more noticeable.

Try on something right and you might notice it more. (Or you have great core strength and will be very smug in a few weeks! :) )

Charlielechat · 05/07/2023 19:51

@Mushroo As I bloat I look a bit pregnant but maybe in a few weeks I'll grow more! Not so sure about the core strength 😂 I can't wait til I can wear stretchy dresses to show off the bump!

Mushroo · 05/07/2023 19:56

@Charlielechat yes! I’ve ordered loads of them. My stomach is normally my problem area so it feels so freeing to be able to show it off

wannabemum38 · 05/07/2023 21:22

Congratulations on all your scans lots of boys about!
i have had a tough week Monday I was sick then ended up fainting in bathroom and then yesterday after a slightly painful loo trip I bled which freaked me out so was up at the EPU again today. They know me by name practically up there now. All is OK luckily it looks like i was dehydrated and then hemorrhoids was the probable cause of the bleeding as it stopped this morning anyway and was just spotting when I wiped. I ended up having a examination to check cervix and bloods taken just to make sure and check my iron levels so at least they are being thorough. We also heard the heartbeat again even though they were being a pickle and moving about a lot. Fiesty is what the nurse called them lol sounds about right. Just so relieved they are still going and fighting i cannot tell you. Been an emotional wreck all week and its only Wednesday. They gave me details of mental health people to contact too as my partner pushed me too as he said he couldn't get me to talk to him this week. So yeah always good to ask.

@wannabemum38 What a tough week you've had 😓 Pregnancy is such a worrying time! Glad everything turned out ok for you.

RG84 · 05/07/2023 22:26

How awful, I hope you are doing okay I'm glad all is okay. Take it easy and rest up x

Nclktnntt · 06/07/2023 06:49

Oh gosh @wannabemum38 what a week you've had! I'm so glad baby is doing well. I hope you're ok, definitely speak with someone even if you think you don't need too. Thinking of you.
