@bookbathnap I’m experiencing exactly the same! Never really been very spotty but these past couple of days I’ve been getting loads! To be honest I’m just always tired though haha

smldnlove · 09/08/2023 12:58

Just had my scan! All measuring on track and got to see their little face really clearly, was so lovely! Still not finding out the sex, was very tempting though!!

They did notice an abnormality with my blood flow through the placenta which was a real shame - so they will be monitoring me and will need scans every 3/4 weeks now. Apparently it can be a sign of pre term or preeclampsia. Fingers crossed things go in the right direction but feeling a bit down now! Anyone else had this?

Hey everyone. I was curious about why my symptoms have changed (suddenly spotty face again, extreme tiredness) and I googled it and found this interesting graph. I’m at 23 weeks now so just about right where the lines cross. Thought others might find it useful.

I'm 23 weeks and morning sickness and nausea has just returned! I'm also exhausted! This could explain a lot!

RG84 · 09/08/2023 13:40

@smldnlove I also had preeclampsia with my first but it was towards the very at around 38 weeks. I had booked and paid for a water birth but then couldn't have this and they started the induction however due to no activity, the following morning the gyne said it was time for a c-section. Not saying this will happen to you but for you it's good its been picked up early and you will have regular scans and hopefully all will be okay. You will be monitored throughout the pregnancy which is great.

This time around I'll be wanting a c-section.

I had a 21 week midwife appointment earlier, more to ensure there is no glucose in the urine and check my chart for diabetes. I have a my consultant appointment on the 30th Aug so will be discussing the c-section then. Also got to hear baby's heartbeat today which will nice :)

Nclktnntt · 09/08/2023 14:41

@Charlielechat @Undercoverunicorn I hope it is 😀 can't wait for my scan on Monday now.

wannabemum38 · 09/08/2023 16:30

I was sick during night and feeling exhausted also have a spot on my chin size of everest. Having a low day today feeling bit overwhelmed and emotional. 23 weeks on Friday. Got MW appointment just under 2 weeks hopefully all will be OK with little one.
@smldnlove good they are keeping an eye on you and keep on top of it from early on. I felt bit down after my 20wk scan too as well as relieved as my placenta is low lying but apparently its quite common and hopefully will move by my 32 week scan criss fingers
These little beans are keeping us on our toes aren't they?!

Glad baby was all good @smldnlove ! Sorry things weren't straightforward with your placenta. I suppose it's good that you will be monitored though! Lots of reassurance for you, and you'll get to see baby more often!

17caterpillars1mouse · 09/08/2023 20:45

24 weeks today and am am emotional mess and nausea is back! No spots though thankfully.

Oldermum84 · 09/08/2023 21:21

@smldnlove I have this too - I had a doppler scan at 22 weeks (due to previous small baby. They couldn't manage to do it at 20 weeks so went back) and my left artery to my placenta was ok but the right one showed high resistance - way way over the 95th centile line. Think the measurement was 1.46. What were your measurements do you know?

Nclktnntt · 10/08/2023 06:43

@smldnlove glad to hear baby's all ok ok, sorry to hear about the worry of your placenta but like others have said, it's good they've caught it early so they know to keep an eye on you. Just make sure they do keep an eye on you!

Nclktnntt · 10/08/2023 06:50

Not sure if anyone needs to purchase baby things from John Lewis but they have a deal going just now that when you spend over £120 on baby things you get a free new parent starter kit worth £105. I don't know how long the offer is on for but worth a look 😊

bookbathnap · 10/08/2023 07:24

@Nclktnntt thanks for the tip! I’m going to look at baby stuff this weekend so will pop in to John Lewis

smldnlove · 10/08/2023 08:44

Thanks all for your kind messages! Feeling much more positive about it today and seem to be feeling lots of movement this morning. Hope everyone else’s scans this week goes well ✨

Lavender2020 · 10/08/2023 11:27

I have my scan tomorrow morning at 10am. I was excited for weeks but now that it's closer I'm really nervous at the same time. Finding out sex too so that's the exciting part xx

Mushroo · 10/08/2023 12:12

@Lavender2020 mine is tomorrow too and I’m so so nervous. Still haven’t felt much movement so terrified that something is wrong.

Lavender2020 · 10/08/2023 13:06

@Mushroo what time is yours? Fingers crossed for us both! Let me know how you get on 🫶🏽

Mushroo · 10/08/2023 13:39

@Lavender2020 10:20 so very similar to you! I’m sure we’ll both be fine but I’ll definitely report back

Lavender2020 · 10/08/2023 13:44

@Mushroo aww I do feel better knowing we'll be going through it together and at the same time. I find a weird sense of comfort in that and feel less alone lol. Are you finding out sex?

Mushroo · 10/08/2023 13:53

@Lavender2020 definitely! Always nice to know your not alone.

We already know it’s a girl because of the NIPT we had done, but I’m still going to get them to double check! so that will be nice at least :)

Nclktnntt · 10/08/2023 14:44

bookbathnap · 10/08/2023 07:24

@Nclktnntt thanks for the tip! I’m going to look at baby stuff this weekend so will pop in to John Lewis

It might be online only, but don't quote me on that 😊

Lavender2020 · 10/08/2023 14:55

@Mushroo 💗 ahh a girl, that is lovely! Enjoy seeing her tomorrow! I agree, any subsequent scans I may get to have, I am planning on getting them to confirm and reconfirm just in case once I find out lol

Mushroo · 10/08/2023 15:10

@Lavender2020 definitely! Do you have any inkling on whether yours might be a boy or a girl?

RG84 · 10/08/2023 20:02

Good luck with your scans tomorrow :) hope you are all doing well.

Beans1982 · 10/08/2023 20:17

@Mushroo and @Lavender2020 Wishing you all the best for tomorrow's scan!❤Tomorrow morning seems to be a popular time for scans - mine is also tomorrow morning at 9.30.

Mushroo · 10/08/2023 20:22

@Beans1982 thank you! Good luck for yours too, nice we’re all in it together :)
