@blodyn91 Okay, you are my inspo! I hope I feel better, stat. Does running with a buggy because you're late, count? 🤣💜

Fingers crossed weather improves. How wild is it that Europe is burning while it's raining here!

blodyn91 · 18/07/2023 15:18

@LeopardLover buggy running was my lifeline to get LO to sleep! He has never napped in the cot 🙈 car or buggy only.
Acctually started looking at double buggies now on FB, really want an out and about one.
and yes, running coz you're late always counts 👌😅

I really wish you could train to give birth though, imagine 'do this everyday and your labour will last maximum 2 hours and no tearing' 🫠

LeopardLover · 18/07/2023 15:22

@blodyn91 I REALLY want an Out and About too! P.S my son was exactly the same 🤣

Haha I was pretty darn fit last time - 3B tear and forceps. So if only 😅

krissy12 · 18/07/2023 15:31

I've still not registered with a midwife yet but I had a little bit of spotting this morning so phoned the epu and they are seeing me on Friday when I'll be 6 weeks according to last lmp and they'll scan me and start progesterone if everything looks OK. so keeping everything crossed pregnancy is so stressful

WholeZebra · 18/07/2023 15:47

Hey girls!

Super early on - approximately 4 weeks 5 days with a due date of 21st March.

Just wondering if any of you experiences this strange (what I’m assuming?) symptom… I’ve noticed today whenever I lean on my right side or sit down I get a sharp pain in my hip, but more kind of in the back of my hip. I was wondering if it could be RLP? But surely it’s too early for that.

MrsMcH23 · 18/07/2023 15:53

Hi! I’m 5+5 today and absolutely shattered! I’ve got a 14month old, so no time to rest! I have a week long work trip planned at the end of the week, which will involve an 18 hour flight. I’m so anxious thinking about it, as very worried about sickness on the plane and the effect of jet lag. I’m also worried about something happening with the pregnancy and being alone and very far from home. It’s quite an important conference I’m going to, but I’m really considering trying to get out of it, but would mean telling my boss this early on. Anyone else had something similar?

Bellabeemarie · 18/07/2023 17:16

I did a self referral today to mw, I'm so tired and peeing alot more... nipples feel sensitive but that's about it for now ❤

blodyn91 · 18/07/2023 18:15

@MrsMcH23 I went away with work in May, first time spending 4 nights away from my toddler, and it was bliss 😅🙈
If its a conference that you really want to attend? - I would go!
Would you regret not going?
Im guessing flights and accommodation have already been booked?

BudgetBuster · 18/07/2023 19:43

@MrsMcH23 As a previous poster suggested, I'd probably go. Imagine a few days of peace and sleep in a hotel room 😂

Fellow buggy runner here! I have the out n about nipper sport. I don’t think the sport comes as a double sadly but I think people do run with the nipper double and just fix the front wheel.

i do worry that the routes I use locally aren’t wide enough for a double though. I tend to try and stick to cycle paths so I don’t have to constantly traffic dodge.

I echo the other responses. I went on a work trip and it was genuinely the first time I’ve felt properly rested in a year and a half haha 😆 you’ll likely do yourself a favour by getting some decent quality sleep for a few days.

blodyn91 · 19/07/2023 07:01

@glasspaw there is a nipper double! I do parkrun with two others than run with doubles, one has the nipper other the 360 (but has put her Nipper single wheels on the back).
Supposedly V5 is coming out soon!!!
Might just buy second hand though

you’re right! I’m sure someone told me the double didn’t come in sport version! How strange.

yeah they’re definitely not the cheapest, but they hold their value reasonably well for resale which is good. I love mine, I felt so much more freedom once my boy hit 6 months and I could get back out running with him :)

LeopardLover · 19/07/2023 10:57

Morning all! Just heard back from the community midwives, due to staff shortages I won't get my booking appointment until after my 12 week scan 👀 how crazy is that! I am glad this isn't my first rodeo.

The GP surgery fobbed me off to the pharmacy, so waiting for a call back re nausea and funny tummy. 😫

Busylizzie85 · 19/07/2023 12:06

I had a routine ultrasound this morning for issues I had pre pregnancy! So they obviously weren't looking for the baby as such but they did show me that it was in the right place and I could clearly see the flicker of a heart beat which made me so relieved.
I'm around 6 weeks today but they did not confirm that so I'll book a proper scan for a week or two and then I can get more of an idea if things are on track, but it was so nice knowing that firstly there is a baby there and secondly being able to see the flicker even for a second was great 🥰

mrsgtobe97 · 19/07/2023 12:27

5 weeks today and still getting 2-3 on the clear blue it's driving me nuts, I had it a lot sooner than this with my daughter 🫣 anyone else?

J2023xx · 19/07/2023 12:51

@MrsG2907 I got 2-3 yesterday at 5+2, but lots of people on a pregnancy after loss thread reassured me they had the same and now are far along/ or have their baby - some never even got a 3+! I’ve realised HCG levels vary so much, I hope that’s a bit reassuring for you. I don’t have any living children yet and in my second pregnancy I did get a 3+ earlier but sadly that didn’t mean anything positive for me in the end.

Some people recommended I wait until I’m 6 weeks and test again so that’s what I’m going to do. Take care x

J2023xx · 19/07/2023 12:52

@MrsG2907 sorry tagged the wrong person!

@mrsgtobe97 the post above was responding to you

mrsgtobe97 · 19/07/2023 13:20

@J2023xx thanks!! It's very likely it's normal but because I got it early with my daughter I'm comparing everything 🫣 i got my 2-3 on Sunday & I have one left so I'll take it on Sunday or Monday cause that'll have been a whole week.

@mrsgtobe97 I totally understand, I am holding out until Sunday! X

anabbxx · 19/07/2023 13:42

@Lauren94xx My Last period is one day behind you!

WAC1 · 19/07/2023 13:43

I called the midwives and have been told I have to see my GP first. I called and have an appointment with the GP who I have to see face to face in 2 weeks. So I'll be about 8 weeks then.
It seems very strange to me that I have to see a GP. In my previous pregnancy I just filled in an online form and was seen by the midwives the week later. Very strange.

I have a scan on Friday as I don't know about my dates but think I'll be about 7 weeks. Feeling a bit scared as I don't feel pregnant at all!
