Reduced movement again 2 days later

I'm 37+2, I was at the MAU only 2 days ago for reduced movement as I had hardly felt baby move all day and of course once I was there and on the CTG she was moving like crazy but all day she'd hardly moved. The midwife said they'd been really busy with reduced movement cases that day and it was likely because of the heat.

I was told because it was my 3rd visit for reduced movement (I went twice at around 25 weeks) then I'd be referred for a scan but as I only had a growth scan last week I couldn't have the scan for another week. I also got a snippy comment that they wouldn't be bringing my c section any sooner (I don't want that!)

2 days later and I feel like the movements have reduced once again, she's still moving and I've had a few kicks this morning it just feels much less frequent and less strong, she usually kicks loads after my dinner and keeps me up from falling asleep at night because of all the movement but not last night

I am going to be ringing as soon as DD is awake (currently asleep on me) but I just wanted someone to talk to as I'm worried they'll think I'm taking the mick and she'll start moving loads as soon as I'm there

Thanks for everyone's lovely messages.

DD is a week old today and doing well, she lost a lot of weight and has been struggling to feed but had her tongue tie cut on Thursday and been feeding well since so hopefully todays weigh in will be positive and we won't be sent back in (the midwife said if she hasn't gained enough by today we have to be readmitted).

I'm really anxious all the time watching her breathing but hoping this will pass

Ah glad you're home OP.

I still watch DD breath and she's 15 months old!

Good luck for today!

skkyelark · 24/06/2023 09:39

Lovely to hear that you're home! Fingers crossed for today!

MedievalMadness · 24/06/2023 11:54

Lots of luck for today. You're bound to be watching her like a hawk at the moment . I think thats to be expected. I really hope the midwife is happy with her weight. Sounds promising that's she's now feeding better since her tongue tie was sorted out .

Glad you have managed to get home, hope all well today

scrantonelectriccity · 24/06/2023 14:39

She’s gone from 11% weight loss to 3% in 48 hours

Midwife said she would’ve been happy with a 40g gain and she’s gained 240g! So relieved

This is great news :)

Great news @scrantonelectriccity.
That weight gain is fantastic. I hope you're recovering well from the cs too.

My dd had tongue tie too and didn't feed well for 5 days+ (despite it being divided just under 24hrs after her birth) we had to go back in as she was completely listless and floppy. Thanks to a sensible nurse we were back on track within a few hours (though I think dd and I spent the night).

PinkButtercups · 24/06/2023 16:09

So glad she is gaining weight so well. It will pass the feeling of the anxiety x

MedievalMadness · 24/06/2023 18:14

Awww that's wonderful news . That's a really great weight gain in 2 days.

JeminaSunshine · 25/06/2023 08:09
