Reduced movement again 2 days later

I'm 37+2, I was at the MAU only 2 days ago for reduced movement as I had hardly felt baby move all day and of course once I was there and on the CTG she was moving like crazy but all day she'd hardly moved. The midwife said they'd been really busy with reduced movement cases that day and it was likely because of the heat.

I was told because it was my 3rd visit for reduced movement (I went twice at around 25 weeks) then I'd be referred for a scan but as I only had a growth scan last week I couldn't have the scan for another week. I also got a snippy comment that they wouldn't be bringing my c section any sooner (I don't want that!)

2 days later and I feel like the movements have reduced once again, she's still moving and I've had a few kicks this morning it just feels much less frequent and less strong, she usually kicks loads after my dinner and keeps me up from falling asleep at night because of all the movement but not last night

I am going to be ringing as soon as DD is awake (currently asleep on me) but I just wanted someone to talk to as I'm worried they'll think I'm taking the mick and she'll start moving loads as soon as I'm there

Just wanted to send support op, also my little boy was born at 37+2 and he was absolutely fine xxx

“You are not listening to me. I have told x,y,z that this baby is moving less and they have all dismissed my concerns. I am an experienced mother and I do not think this baby is ok. When can I be seen by the doctor?”

channel your inner viper x

Just reading your thread and wanted to send big hugs. You’ve done such an amazing job of advocating for you and your baby. Hoping you’ve been sent down and will have your baby safe in your arms very soon x

Insheerpanic · 17/06/2023 10:34

Hope all is ok this morning xx

Pepperlypue · 17/06/2023 11:21

Just read through your thread. Thinking of you & hope things go well today Xx

Hotandverybothered · 17/06/2023 11:25

My daughter baby was induced at 37 weeks for RFM because the Dr agreed that monitoring etc can only tell the professionals a certain amount of information and that having the baby out in the world is the only way of being certain.
Good luck for today.X

Thanks everyone she's here and we came back to the ward but the midwife said she seemed a bit floppy, tired and not wanting to feed, they've just checked her oxygen levels and they are 60% so she's been taken to resuscitation and I can't be with her

Ah OP, well I’m really pleased she’s delivered - that means they can more properly keep an eye on her.

My baby was born with suspected meningitis, it was all so stressful and alarming. I have a beautiful, healthy 19 month old now.

I’ll keep following your thread. I hope today turns out well for you and she’s back with you soon ❤️

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that, you must be so scared. I will be thinking of you both x

scrantonelectriccity · 17/06/2023 12:37

She's struggling to breathe a lot now, sucking in a lot, gone dusky and needed a lot of oxygen and has been taken down to NICU now

OP 2 of my sons were exactly like this at birth. Never been so scared in my life! Both spent a few days in NICU and are now 19 and 17. They both just needed a bit of extra help at the start.

You've done exactly the right thing going in and demanding the section.

qbeque · 17/06/2023 12:42

Sending a big hug OP xx

ChickenBurgers · 17/06/2023 12:53

I'm so pleased she's here and you kept insisting. My youngest was born with an infection and was in hospital for a week, it was such an emotional time. Do you have good support?

Sending hugs. Hope she's back to you soon x
