It's very early days but I suspect there are some new BFP's meaning we'd be due in February. I'm 4 weeks today so super early. Anyone with me? Has anyone got any early pregnancy symptoms?

6 weeks today!
I had a really heavy feeling in my lower stomach and very bloated.

boobs are killing - getting shooting pains all over but boobs the worse.

still no sickness for me yet!

Pinkmoon23 · 20/06/2023 20:28

@GeriatricMumma was your cramping more one sided?

Odd sharp pains on the right but I do have a cyst.

I've had previous C-sections so I think stretching scar tissue.

Pen40 · 20/06/2023 21:15

I keep getting shooting pains on both sides - not sure if it’s something to worry about or growing pains… just going to keep an eye on it and call the dr if it gets worse xx

Hankthehonk · 20/06/2023 23:07

@Mangotango39 Congrats on 6 weeks! That feels far away for me here at 4w2d 🫠 off on holiday on Friday for a week which will be good timing and distraction.

I've got slightly tender boobs now and the backache is getting worse so while it's crap in and of itself I'm excited by any symptom that makes me feel pregnant at this point.

I'm so so sorry for those who have had losses. Been thinking of you today, I've been there and know how hellish it is. Sending love

Hello lovely ladies, I had some spotting last week (4w 4d ish) which cleared up and I had sore boobs/nausea which was comforting but both now disappeared. Today (5w 3d) more spotting, some light pink, some brown. I'm feeling worried - first time pregnancy - anything I should be looking out for or is this quite normal? Xxx

@happydaysss I have also experiencing spotting (just pink - never lasts long) from my frantic googling and chats with people here I am told it can be completely normal.
If it continues, gets heavy, bright red or you have cramps, then it may be more cause for concern.

always advice your doctor though of course 🤗

happydaysss · 21/06/2023 00:34

@Mangotango39 thank you so much 🤞🏻💕

Un7breakable · 21/06/2023 06:18

@happydaysss Could you call your local EPU? They may be able to book you an early scan for reassurance.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/06/2023 06:53

@happydaysss have you any bad cramping? When I had a miscarriage before, I was told by EPU that spotting normally comes with bad cramping if it's miscarriage. Otherwise 30% of women spot during the first trimester.

I spotted during my miscarriage, spotted with my son, and have had a little spotting this time. I'm booking a private scan again this time for 6.5 to 7 weeks - it's about £50 to £70 depending on where you live but for me it's money well spent. I got three private scans during my pregnancy last time

I've got my NHS scan booked for 6+3 but I will also book two further private scans before my 12 week scan.

I just need the reassurance or I'm sure I'll make myself ill with worry which won't help!

GoneAway227 · 21/06/2023 07:36

When is everyone going to stop testing? I'm obsessed and know it's not sensible but am still testing every morning. 4+5 today, but got my positive at 9 dpo so have been testing for nearly 2 weeks now!

Kiwiburgh · 21/06/2023 07:41

@GoneAway227 I stopped when I got 3+ on digi. I actually feel less anxious that I'm not testing every day.

Hankthehonk · 21/06/2023 08:01

@GoneAway227 today is the first day I haven't tested after getting dye stealer yesterday. It felt weird but nice to wake up and not do it! I'm 4w3d and also got bfp at 9dpo.
I've told myself I'm not going to bother with digital weeks tests but I might cave next week as I'd love to see the 3+

happydaysss · 21/06/2023 08:07

@Un7breakable thank you so much, will try to get hold of my doctor to refer me to EPU if it gets worse/persists/bad cramps xx

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 huge thank you for your reply. Nothing I would describe as bad cramping, think I'm just letting anxiety get the better of me. I've booked a reassurance scan privately for 7+2, which feels like a lifetime away, might see if I can bring forward a few days :) xx

GoneAway227 · 21/06/2023 08:09

@Hankthehonk I got a dye stealer on Friday and am still testing!

I think you and @Kiwiburgh are sensible though - in some respects constant testing just becomes unhelpful and might be adding to my anxiety.

My last miscarriage was an early one (4+3), and I promised myself I'd stop testing after this point....
I've had a healthy pregnancy since the last loss and barely tested at all then, so not sure why I'm so fretful this time around.

Strawberry06 · 21/06/2023 08:20

I've had really sore nipples but I've woke up today and they feel fine. Also not as bloated. Really nervous as I was 7 weeks yesterday and I had my miscarriage at 7+5. Just anxious to get through this week!

Hankthehonk · 21/06/2023 08:42

@GoneAway227 I don't feel sensible, the number of tests I did over the last week! I am still anxious but it just feels like that particular (testing) phase of anxiety is over with.
My miscarriage was at 8 weeks so that feels like the next big milestone to get past, and it feels very far away.
Try not to give yourself a hard time for being worried, it's understandable to be anxious at this time.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/06/2023 08:46

@happydaysss the same, it's one week away, and I'm wanting to bring it forward! Pregnancy is SUCH an anxious time.

@Strawberry06 I completely get the feeling. Mine have been coming and going (and are mild anyway). I looked at my chart and they did the same for my son also. But I'm still feeling uptight and anxious also

Strawberry06 · 21/06/2023 08:54

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 its driving me mad! Its my birthday on Saturday and we are away and I keep thinking I'm gonna have bad news that's going to ruin everything 😞I'm trying so hard to keep positive! How many weeks are you again?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/06/2023 09:15

@Strawberry06 happy birthday for Saturday! Hopefully you'll be able to take your mind off it doing lovely things and eating delicious food!

I'm only six weeks. I'm ridiculously looking at my old pregnancy charts a fair bit. My symptoms came and went the whole first trimester basically. I remember asking the midwife at one of my appointments, and she said that's totally normal, and not to worry if they go for a few days. It's hard after a loss though, especially one diagnosed at a scan, as it's hard to feel you can trust your body to even know.

moosey89 · 21/06/2023 09:26

@GoneAway227 I stopped after about 5 days (so, 19dpo I think?) took 4 tests total, then just thought well testing won't tell me anything I don't already know!

I have had 2 home blood tests though towards the end of week 4, and mid week 5 to check things were progressing. And I'm booking an early scan for middle of week 7.

PeeBeee · 21/06/2023 09:31

Im 16dpo and still testing like a mad woman. Got my 2-3 today so in theory should get my 3+ at start of next week and then I will stop.

have 2 frers left that I have been doing every 2 days since 9dpo and ive been doing the easy@home cheapies every day. I know - it is absolutely bonkers!!

I have booked a private scan when I will be 6+4 so 3 Friday’s away.

GeriatricMumma · 21/06/2023 09:41

Silly question, is a 'dye stealer' when the test is stronger than control?

Hankthehonk · 21/06/2023 09:46

@GeriatricMumma yes, exactly that!

GeriatricMumma · 21/06/2023 09:57

Ok perfect had one today!
