@38andtrying also lactulose to get things started. It’s good because it isn’t a laxative it works by drawing more water into your bowel thus making everything softer. So you just need to make sure you are hydrated. Works for me anyway. @Psqueak87 youre breakfast sounds amazin!! Just remembered I promised myself I would start eating eggs and smoothie to start the day… will try tomo. @GemmaJen congrats on your little boy 😃

lots of APs on here. I am 19 wks and have started feeling on and off, just on one side. Hadn’t felt anything for a couple days so I spoke to midwife, just to understand what’s normal at this stage. She said it’s ok to not have a pattern this early but invited me to have Doppler today to put my mind at rest. Never had it before! was amazing to hear baby’s heartbeat. So always worth an ask I have discovered from today.
like others have said it is mostly eve for me where I can feel things if at all and quite mild.

For those asking about 18 wks I defo felt more sick around then too . Was only able to cook a proper meal this eve for the first time ! Milestones!! x

@Mrsrobinsonx hey I’m 18+1 and I’ve. Een having stretching pains and tightening and just an uncomfortable bump in general for the last few days. Have also been a bit sore if I move or twist a certain way but only mild discomfort - putting it down to growing pains like you!

Hi girls, what's everyone doing for bras? Did you go for bra fittings. A bra fitting service is too far from where I live so I was going to Google how to measure myself, don't want to spend too much on bras either. Any recommendations welcome

I have 34K before pregnancy so my options are limited 😂 but I've moved on to molke bras. No wires, supportive, love them (once you wrestle it on but isn't that hard!)

LeeanneD11 · 15/06/2023 09:23

@FlyingHighFlyingLow

I was doing the same the other day haha 😂 it's very interesting how you do it tho as I'm looking at maternity bras atm . But trying to find the comfortable ones cause I'm starting to get uncomfortable now . I'm only 16weeks and I feel like they are going to grow and grow even more haha 😂

Has anyone felt any movements yet? Like little ones . I've been feeling little movements here and there xx

PinkPlantCase · 15/06/2023 10:25

@38andtrying I’ve given up on actual bra sizing as it will change so much anyway. They won’t work for everyone but I just bought some like this in large and extra large. No wire and though it says padded they’ve just got those shaped inserts, no actual padding. I think they’ll see me through. I’m a size 10 when not pregnant and though there’s a lot of stretch in them they aren’t huge on me.

@38andtrying I recommend this bra size calculator, it’s meant to be much more accurate than the likes of M&S fittings.
Did me well in my last pregnancy, actually I should probably break the tape measure out again soon …

@BabyBabyBaby123 I was just about the recommend that website!
I also referred to it during previous pregnancies.
I also have a dreadful habit of ordering a load from Amazon - I’m off the larger bust - and having a giant try on session and sending a load back.
I struggle without an underwire though and wore them right the way through and after my last Dc!
I know it’s not recommended but tough!

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 15/06/2023 12:08

Had my 16 week appointment and got to listen to the heartbeat with the doppler 😍😍😍 took her a minute as baby kept wriggling away every time she found it 😅

Psqueak87 · 15/06/2023 12:26

@38andtrying oh god I’m 35 years old and have never had a bra fitting. I usually wear a 34A and it’s still too big, so for once my bras are actually fitting me! Im assuming at some point I may have to go up a size so I might just buy a couple of b cups when that happens…I mostly just go braless in a big jumper when I can!

Mldn · 15/06/2023 13:16

Had my 20 week scan this morning! I had a trainee sonographer which was great as she explained everything to us as they went along! Baby looking “beautiful” as they kept referring to them - all measuring well! And it’s a baby boy 💙 I had a feeling it was a boy but still cried when they told us! Best feeling ever x

Is it boy season for November babies? 💙💙 most of us are finding out they are boys xx

Mldn · 15/06/2023 13:44

I often look on the October forum & theres
lots of boys over there too @LeeanneD11 x

Spareincoming · 15/06/2023 14:37

@Psqueak87 you might find you can get away with the super comfy sports bra type nursing/maternity bras - I loved mine first time round, now I can’t get many in my size - but don’t make my mistake and get caught out… be prepared to need something as regardless of how you plan to feed you may something to catch the leaks! (First time round I thought I’d be back to normal bras instantly as I wasn’t planning on breast feeding… how wrong I was!)

TMI2000 · 15/06/2023 15:37

Awww congratulations @Mldn how lovely!

@LeeanneD11 I'm having a boy too! 💙

Congratulations💙💙 I'm excited to see welcome to my little boy , I now have 2 boys & 1 girl 💕 and my kids are so excited to have a baby brother as they kept saying to me boy and when the lady told me the kids wishes came true I cried . Xx

Psqueak87 · 15/06/2023 17:17

It does seem like everyone’s having boys, everyone I know who’s pregnant are having boys too! I’m having a girl though, much to my boyfriend sorrow, lol.

@Spareincoming thanks for the advice, I’m not prepared at all, kept thinking I’d start buying stuff and making myself ready by 20 weeks, but here I am putting it all off again!

Spareincoming · 15/06/2023 17:28

@Psqueak87 Don’t worry too much about getting stuff; with no.1 I only did one day, I bought everything in one afternoon online and all the vests and babygrows in the supermarket that evening. It was the 16th and the baby arrived on 28th!

GreenAventurine · 15/06/2023 17:41

Hi everyone, can I join you all? I’m due 18th November and will be 18 weeks on Saturday. I’m 32 and this is my second baby. My eldest will be almost 15 when this little one is born and im
totally out of practice!

BabyBabyBaby123 · 15/06/2023 17:53

@GreenAventurine I was in my 30s having #2 and my eldest was 11 when she was born and I felt very out of practice!
I was surprised at how much came back to me, but also how much advice had changed, so lots of things were new too.
I was much more confident with DD2 and I think that with my age.
Here I am pregnant with #3 with a 12 and 1 year old.
Is your 15yo excited? My eldest daughter LOVES her sister and has been great with her since she was born and DD1 is definitely DD2’s favourite person in the world. It’s lovely seeing their relationship, considering the age gap.

GreenAventurine · 15/06/2023 18:03

Hi, yes he is really excited. Will
fomd out Saturday if he is having a little sister or brother. I have a strong feeling it’s a little sister!

Im feeling a little anxious as yesterday I had my screening results. They are low risk but I’m not too happy with the number. I’ve had a scroll on here and it seems a few of us are in the same boat so it’s relaxed me a little. Mine is 1 in 640 which for my age seems like a bad number? Midwife said it’s fine though, and I’m trying to focus on the low risk part.

Is your third a girl or boy?

BabyBabyBaby123 · 15/06/2023 18:13

@GreenAventurine I don’t know yet, I have my 20 week scan in 2 weeks, but we haven’t decided whether we’re going to find out or not yet … We didn’t with DD2, but I have lots of pink things that I could wash and get ready before #3 comes along, or get rid of them to make some space if we don’t need them again!
I quite liked the surprise, so I am really torn over what to do. I might just decide on the day.

GreenAventurine · 15/06/2023 18:17

I loved the idea of a surprise, but the longer it goes, I feel like I’m too much of a planner 😂 I’d really like to get some colour now!

Crazybrowncow · 15/06/2023 22:55

Hey - I see this is thread 4 so pretty well established! I wondered if I could join? Due with my second on 17th Nov - have my 20 wk scan in a couple of weeks which is starting to stress me a bit!

GreenAventurine · 16/06/2023 08:09

@Crazybrowncow scans are nerve racking arnt they!
You’re due a day before me :)
