Hi everyone I'm getting bad tightenings and they hurt so much that I wanted to cry , and struggled to walk . It's not happened once but twice in the same place on the left side , I'm only 15 weeks is this normal xx

PinkPlantCase · 05/06/2023 07:18

@LeeanneD11 that sounds really sore! I remember last time others having hip and ligament pain that made it hard for them walk but I think that was quite a bit further along. If you’re worried it’s probably worth calling the midwife or going to get checked if you need reassurance and it hasn’t happened before.

I will do thank you . It hasn't happened anymore which is good xx

@LeeanneD11 I actually had the same last week, felt really similar to the ovulation pain I used to get in the lower left side. I put it down to a little spurt of stretching or it could be translating from constipation as your bowel sits right behind at about that stage I think. Mine passed too but definitely speak to your midwife if it's worrying you. So many strange and new feelings in there! Xx

Too many strange things lol 😂 don't remember this much in my last pregnancies . They do say 3rd is your worse 😂😂 xx

Anyone feel movement yet? I’m 18+3 and feel nada! I’ve been watching TikTok and I see people saying they feel movement really early, even in first pregnancy!

foodislife1 · 05/06/2023 22:58

Hello! Long time lurker and feel confident enough to join now ☺️ due 2nd November with number 2.

@Psqueak87 I've started to feel some movement in the past 2 days - much earlier than my last pregnancy.

Has anyone been suffering with thrush?
I've heard it's common on pregnancy but never had it with my first.

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 05/06/2023 23:04

I'm feeling something but I have no idea if its baby. I'm only 15 weeks so seems a bit early considering its my first but its an odd sensation I've never felt before. Best way I can describe it is like a weird bubble-poppy vibration really far down in the middle. Usually only notice if I'm chilled out not doing other things e.g. when I'm in bed or watching TV. I felt it once or twice a few days ago, by yesterday I was feeling it quite a lot! Though quite typically, I haven't felt it at all today!

Thack · 06/06/2023 04:14

18 weeks, second baby.
I've been feeling little things for the last two weeks or so, on and off. Just little movements.

There are times where I think it's a flutter then there's a louder gurgle a few seconds later and I'm like 'nope, just wind' 😂

Mrsrobinsonx · 06/06/2023 07:50

@Psqueak87 I’m 16 weeks and have been feeling little bits here and there but this week definitely more than before, yesterday I had a good few little movements in one spot. Baby number 3 tho! X

Rebs23 · 06/06/2023 08:56

@Psqueak87 you might be feeling things but not realising it’s baby moving! I’m 17w and feel little flutters or pops and wasn’t sure if that’s what it was, but at my appt yesterday the midwife used the Doppler and every so often was like “oh there’s a kick!” Which made me feel better that I am actually feeling baby move, even though it doesn’t feel like much lol.

Mrsrobinsonx · 06/06/2023 12:49

@Rebs23 yeah I’ve got a home Doppler and you can definitely hear when they move around and kick! 🤣 so cute!

LilmissCa · 06/06/2023 13:11

Got my 16wks midwife appt (16+1) and got to hear heartbeat.. settled me enough not to book a scan now.
Midwife said they can try but if they don't find it they can't send me anywhere. Obviously would have freaked if they didn't find it.

Got the talking & connecting to my baby info, crazy cuz mentally I'm imagining my DD (18months) .. this baby just hasn t sunk in with me yet at all!!

spanglesj · 06/06/2023 15:09

@Psqueak87 im 18 wks and not felt a thing, I was told at my private 16 wk scan I have an anterior placenta . Do you know where yours is ? My friend is pregnant now with second baby / anterior placenta and didn’t feel movements until 21 wks
also I think I feel movements a lot but then pass wind (lol tmi) so I’m not sure when I will for real.
just in case that helps! Xx

Psqueak87 · 06/06/2023 15:17

@spanglesj the haven’t said anything about my placenta, but I have a dr appointment this week and the 19 week ultrasound next week so I’ll ask them about it then! I sit still for hours at night and I literally feel nothing! I’m not too worried about it yet, we will see how this weeks appointments go ☺️

MeganC104 · 06/06/2023 16:32

Anyone else getting intense gas pains and freaking out that it's a contraction or just me 😵‍💫

DollyGx · 06/06/2023 20:41

Hi ladies, I was on the first thread then life got in the way a bit but back now. DD is 10th nov, 20 week scan in a couple of weeks so slightly anxious about that. We had a private scan last week though at 17 weeks and found out we were having a little girl so that was nice 🩷 quite a few anterior placentas on here, I have one too, hoping it’s not too long before I start feeling things! The lady doing my scan last week said that in her last pregnancy she had an anterior placenta and she felt first movements at 18 weeks so that gave me hope!

LeeanneD11 · 06/06/2023 20:59

Hi everyone ,

I'm looking for positive stories ❤️

I had a 12 week scan 3 weeks ago and the consultant called me today (6th June ) to tell me that my hormone level is very low that they test with the blood test routine one at 12 weeks , not sure what the fancy name is called lol 😂 but basically he said that my baby is a low birth weight & it's something to do with my placenta 😞 he also mentioned that I could get high blood pressure & Pre-eclampsia . To top it off I have a cyst also .

I am now showing but I'm massive . And only 15+2 😞🤦‍♀️

All these things are making worried , should I be worried.?!

I have been offered more scans after my 20 weeks to check on baby weight and too see if growing .

I didn't have any of these problems in my last pregnancies so all this to take in is hard for me .

Is there anything I can do? Has anyone been through this before and had a good labour ? Did you have a natural birth or c section?

Was you monitored throughout the pregnancy with regular anti-natal appointments? Scan?

Sorry for the long post . Thank you for reading xx

spanglesj · 06/06/2023 21:25

@LeeanneD11 hey, first up sending you love for that news today as any news is a lot isn’t it. I don’t know the answers, but can you call your midwife tmo, as she should know the answers to these or be able to help you with all the, totally understandable, questions you have! My only experience of restricted growth / low weight was a friend and she had a c section at 36 wks. I believe they do weekly checks, between consultant and scans once into 30 wks in that situ. But I am no expert. Her little one is now a happy and healthy child. Once you get to 20 or so weeks they will be marking your baby’s centile on a chart at each appt and monitoring their size. (If you are NHS. Apologies if you’re not and have said so - so hard to keep track!) Hope you can find some answers that help to put your mind at ease soon. x x

WhiteJasmin · 06/06/2023 21:25

@LeeanneD11 sorry to hear your results. Did they explain to you what it means? My blood test and blood pressure was suggesting I had risk of higher blood pressure and pre eclampsia. Fortunately my obstetrician is pretty calming and my mother in law is a midwife as well to verify for me. It's pretty common for pregnant women to have fluctuating blood pressure because our body is under stress growing a baby. I got put on a daily low dose of aspirin to prevent pre eclampsia and a bit of extra calcium supplement. The earlier you start, especially before 16 weeks the better I was informed. I also brought a blood pressure monitor at home to track my blood pressure, if it gets high they can put me on medication but so far it's been ok. Ask your consultant about your options and I'm sure they are in a better position to advise. Good luck!

I've been advised to take aspirin too , 150mg daily till I've given birth , he will phone me again. After my 20 week scan I think. This is so much to hake in I'm struggling xx

spanglesj · 06/06/2023 21:29

@DollyGx thats good to know about movements for your sonographer. I shall be waiting eagerly. My DD Is 11th, also a girl and anterior so twinning a lot there!

Yeah I'll call the
Tomorrow as I won't be seeing her till 23rd June . It's just so much to take in it's horrible xx

DollyGx · 06/06/2023 23:58

@spanglesj oh hey twin! 😍 you’ll need to keep me updated if you have any movements!
@LeeanneD11 sorry to hear you are stressed and I don’t blame you, it’s such a worrying time! It sounds like you have the same as my friend, she was told something along the same lines I think (low count of a certain hormone that helps the placenta putting her at higher risk of pre-eclampsia, low birth weight and/or early birth) not sure if that is the same as you or not but she has to take aspirin everyday and gets some extra scans to monitor the growth. Anyway, she is currently 2 weeks away from her due date, baby is looking fine and is actually measuring bigger! She’s said having the extra scans has been reassuring. But so far so good with her and she is almost full term too :)
