Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

Hi there!
I think I'm 11DPO and got my positive digital today, still in a bit of disbelief as was negative yesterday!
I have long cycles so using ovulation date think due date will be 9th February🙏
Have a 2.5 year old already and hoping this one sticks as good gap for us, will do a private scan around 7 weeks.

@JLC87 ive also had lightheadedness and palpitations but my IVF clinic just said the same about increased blood flow. The progesterone makes your blood vessels relax so your BP gets lower and your resting heart rate goes up. Mine is already up 15bpm based on my Fitbit.

I had my first blood beta test today - 202 which my clinic said they were very happy with but I guess I was hoping for a touch higher to be reassured by. I’ve got repeats on Thursday and Sat so we’ll see. My lines are getting darker though so I guess 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼:

Thank you for that info! My heart rate is driving me nuts so I'm pleased you've been given a proper explanation. My resting is up 15bpm too.
I have read plenty online but then it tells you to contact someone if the light-headedness comes with palpitations so thought it best.

Your lines look great! Sticky thoughts coming your way 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi All,

joined this thread as I think I am due 31st Jan by one app and 26th Jan on another. It made more sense to me than joining the Jan ones as it’s so close to feb. Main symptoms are slight cramping sometimes, a little nausea, my appetite has gone, lots of weeing, headaches and exhaustion 🤣 It’s my first pregnancy so I’m so nervous and wondering if to get an early scan or not. Sending love as this part seems so tough. Already had to pretend to drink at a family event 🙈

Harriet669 · 30/05/2023 21:26

Glad to know the palpations are normal! I've had them for a few days and gone a bit dizzy here and there (only very mild) makes so much sense that it's blood flow!

I've been worried that I've. It had any cramping or back ache for 2 days, is it normal for it to stop?

Welcome @Ihatewinding @Greenergreenie @LalalaBubs @SophSmall @A2003 🥰

Ihatewinding · 30/05/2023 22:38

I'm weeing lots but don't know if that's just from all the water I'm drinking with this hotter weather haha, not noticing much cramping but so early really.

So hard not to read into every single symptom/sign. I want to tell people but I've not even technically missed a period yet so feel should wait.

When are people on here planning on telling others?

Ihatewinding · 30/05/2023 22:39

Thanks for the welcome!

KittyKat1989 · 31/05/2023 08:30

Welcome to the newbies!

@Ihatewinding i told my Mum at the weekend, as we spend a lot of time with her and she would have guessed as soon as I wasn’t drinking. I want to wait until the 12 week scan to tell other people. We’re going to my PIL’s house this weekend so that will be difficult though. My husband thinks we should tell them but I would REALLY rather wait. What are you going to do?

KittyKat1989 · 31/05/2023 08:33

@WafflesNCream the booking appointment is just a lot of questions about medical history for you and your partner. I can’t see why it being at 12 weeks would be an issue. I would just double check with them that they have referred you to the hospital before that so that your 10 week bloods and 12 week scan can be arranged though

SophSmall · 31/05/2023 09:02

We told our parents just as we know they'll be a support whatever the outcome of the pregnancy. Will now keep quiet until 12 weeks, and even then probably keep it fairly low key.

LalalaBubs · 31/05/2023 09:16

I've told my mum @Ihatewinding but hoping to keep it secret as long as possible with everyone else!

Im 4 wks today, what are everyone symptoms so far? Mine are very achy boobs and crazy hunger from the moment I wake up😭 I had GD with DC2 so I'm anticipating that again this time and really trying to watch what I eat when really all I wantto do is dive into a bag of biscuits😅

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and have achy boobs that have doubled in size, and really struggling to get to sleep and stay asleep. Not sure if it's the physical symptoms of pregnancy or just anxiety about the whole thing 😂

LalalaBubs · 31/05/2023 09:30

@SophSmall I'm right there with you about the anxiety😭
Its funny how every little thing could be a symptom!

Hellsbells89 · 31/05/2023 10:19

Hi joining in on the thread. I'm 15DPO, I got my first faint line at 9DPO. keeping everything crossed this'll be our sticky one. Had a MC at 7 weeks in Jan and the following cycle was a chemical. I have a son who's 2, he's a Feb 1st baby. all being well I will be due around the 9th Feb. I've never tested so much before, always done about 3 but this time i've lots of cheap ones just to keep my mind at ease.

Due February 2024!
Harriet669 · 31/05/2023 12:48

@Hellsbells89 welcome! Lovely strong lines on those cheapies, so sorry to hear about you chemical and MC 🤍🤍

Harriet669 · 31/05/2023 12:52

I've told my best friend on Sunday, she told me the day after she found out and now has a 7 month old, nice to share with some one and I have a hen do where she's going to have to help me hide it 😂🙈 will have to tell the bride too as I'm her brides maid and she will definitely notice I'm not drinking!
we've decided to wait till 12 weeks to tell everyone else but I really want to tell my mum, I don't wait to tell my fiancés parents yet though and he said we should tell parents together as they may be upset of one knows before the other, family politics 🙈

Janeykat · 31/05/2023 13:08

Can I join? 12dpo today, got a strong positive on frer but still early days so trying to stay calm...but yay! Already have a DS who is 3...would be just turned 4 when this baby is born if it goes to plan which I am hoping is a nice gap :)

Ihatewinding · 31/05/2023 13:30

Well I already cracked and told a close work friend as we carpool... And have my mum and gran visiting next weekend so feel like will cave again! Have a best friend with fertility issues so trying to judge best time with her.

Might wait until 5 weeks as heading out of chemical pregnancy territory, just very excited and don't want to get ahead of myself, want to fast forward to my early scan - have already emailed a private place at 3+5 😂

I think my boobs are a bit bigger (my trigger for testing in both pregnancies now) and defo some insomnia but that could just be anxiety related tbf.

Harriet669 · 31/05/2023 15:45

@Ihatewinding my sister has had recurrent miscarriages (last one a few months ago) and I'm wondering how to tell her too, I would normally tell her things like this straight away but I'm unsure how to do it in the kindest way, all being well I was thinking of asking on a thread of any advice how to share the news with some one like that. I hope when I tell her, she will be pregnant too as I know she is trying again 🤍

jamontoast2 · 31/05/2023 16:08

@Harriet669 @Ihatewinding just based on my experience own of infertility and IVF I always appreciated when people told me via text first. Generally just a message without a scan photo. It let me have my own reaction in private. I would still be very happy for them, but it did also generally make me a bit upset and it was good to have the chance to sort that myself so that I could actually focus on being happy for them when I did see them. And I also appreciated when they timed the texts so I wouldn’t be at work and had my own time to reflect on it. Just my two cents. The Instagram Infertility School has some good advice on this which you could use.

WafflesNCream · 31/05/2023 17:36

@Harriet669 I agree, an initial text is the best approach to give her some space to process. I’m sure she’ll be very happy for you, just might need some extra time.
I’ve just got ‘3+’ on the digital, DH says I have a ban on testing from now on 😂

Tilly18101 · 31/05/2023 19:45

Hi Ladies,

Can I tentatively join? I had a faint positive yesterday and today but didn’t test with the first wee and still early but hoping it gets stronger! Going to test again Friday and tell DH if it’s stronger when he gets home from work as it’s our wedding anniversary too so will be able to plan a nice surprise.

Based on my dates looks like 3rd Feb for me but I have very long cycles at anything from 36-39 days.

Im so glad you’ve just discussed how to tell someone with reoccurring MC’s - I’ve huge anxiety telling someone who’s had back to back MC’s and that’s really helped me work out to message her first if we get that far With this one.

will be just over 2 years between this one and my DD so think I’m going to be very busy. Lots of cramping, full aches, sore boobs, nausea coming and going but the exhaustion is another level already. Don’t remember this with my DD at all.

sending lots of love to us all in this together. Xxx

WafflesNCream · 31/05/2023 19:53

@Tilly18101 congratulations! Sending loads of positive vibes your way xx it’d be the best anniversary present no doubt!

Harriet669 · 31/05/2023 21:56

@jamontoast2 @WafflesNCream thank you so much for the advice ladies 🥰 really appreciate it, I think I'll take that approach, I want to be as kind as I possibly can be xx

@Tilly18101 welcome lovely 🥰

CatLadyH · 31/05/2023 22:05

Hello 👋🏻 I am currently 5wk 1 day - tested positive on Saturday after AF never showed. Tested 16 days DPO. Think my due date from LMP is 30/1 but knowing date of ovulation due to testing I think more likely due date will be early Feb. So nervous as this is my first pregnancy, so anxious but also excited.
