Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

@DmcinT I did have pregnancy insomnia for the first few weeks, but recently I've been sleeping at about 8pm through to when my little boy gets up on the morning! And still tired. Are you still on holiday?

I am getting a bit nervous because my nausea is feeling quite a bit less from about seven weeks. Just feel tired, fuzzy headed and a bit dizzy now

FTMCHD · 02/07/2023 11:02

Hi everyone, I haven’t really been posting due to the sickness & exhaustion. We went for our 8 week scan this morning… it’s twins!!

GeriatricMumma · 02/07/2023 11:13

@FTMCHD this is amazing! Congrats x

mashm24 · 02/07/2023 11:21

Hi everyone, I haven’t really been posting due to the sickness & exhaustion. We went for our 8 week scan this morning… it’s twins!!

That’s wonderful! Congratulations!

DmcinT · 02/07/2023 11:47

@FTMCHD oh wow, how are u feeling about that news?

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes still on the never ending holiday 😂 one week left now and it’s back to normality. In fairness it’s been great distraction but I’m like a sick zombie going from nap to nap and meal to meal 😅 I’ve deff had symptoms disappear or soften for a day or 2 only to come back strong so I wouldn’t worry❤️

FTMCHD · 02/07/2023 12:34

Thank you everyone. I think we are still in complete shock, we went into this knowing it would be a high risk pregnancy as I have a complex heart condition, so it’s a little daunting but I’ve spoken with my consultants and they’re hopeful that it should be ok!

FTMCHD · 02/07/2023 12:35

Also my apologies to everyone who hasn’t received great news, sending you all love ❤

DmcinT · 02/07/2023 12:50

@FTMCHD i know exactly what u mean, when we found out my last pregnancy was triplets the shock and fear was huge, it deff took a few days to get our heads around everything. Keeping everything crossed for u and ur 2 little beans🤞🏽🙏🏽

we have a scan next week to see if we are having multiples again so I could be joining u again this time 😅🫣

sherbertlemon17 · 02/07/2023 13:23

Wow @FTMCHD incredible news! Do they know at this point if they are identical or not?

@DmcinT what a super woman, triplets and possibly more multiples! Please share your secrets for managing children. I can’t lie, I’m worried about logistically managing 3 children.

would someone in the Facebook group please be able to share the link? I tried to click the link further back in the chat but it didn’t work 💜

Silverpixieflorence · 02/07/2023 13:24

@FTMCHD oh how lovely 😍 congratulations!!!

Ebonythoughts · 02/07/2023 13:28

@FTMCHD congratulations! That’s wonderful news!

Ebonythoughts · 02/07/2023 13:31

Anyone have any tips on managing nausea that isn’t sickness tablets, bands, ginger and ginger nut biscuits? I’m 8+5 weeks and tried pretty much everything. The only thing that seems to be working is eating slices of lime and green apples and I don’t think I can sustain myself on that for the foreseeable 🤢

Please tell me the nausea subsides after 12 weeks 🥺

Tilly18101 · 02/07/2023 15:08

@GeriatricMumma so sorry lovely.

@DmcinT yes! I was awake 3-6am last night for no reason. I am a shell of a person today, just so tired and hubby is hungover and being useless!

@FTMCHD congratulations lovely, double the fun! How exciting 💕

Danni33 · 02/07/2023 16:11

Had an early scan today and the heartbeat was amazing too. Sounded so strong and it’s such a lovely thing to hear so early on. Makes me feel more positive and less worried. Everything looked healthy too 🥰
no nausea as of yet… but wondering if people only started experiencing this after 7 weeks? Just sore boobs still and tiredness 😴

xTinkerbell · 02/07/2023 16:14

not been posting too much because i’m suffering a lot with my anxiety at the moment. I booked an early scan this morning for wednesday when I’ll be 8 weeks so just have to get myself to then

mashm24 · 02/07/2023 16:19

@Ebonythoughts cyczline gets me through! Mine disappeared around 16 weeks last time, really hope it's the same this time :( it's tough! Xx

@Ebonythoughts it's horrible isn't it. Last time I found fresh acidic things helped also, so the orange juice and lemon juice ice lollies, thinly sliced fruit (sliced cold very fresh grapes, apples, strawberries and watermelon). Salt and vinegar crisps and fizzy water. Tom yum soup from the Thai restaurant. I also got acupuncture for the nausea and did feel a bit better after the sessions.

However if you've been given cyclazine, that's a first line pill, and there are others up the ladder you can try that are safe and might work for you better. So don't be shy to go back to your GP and ask for different ones

Ebonythoughts · 02/07/2023 18:02

Thank you @mashm24 and @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 im trying to avoid tablets if I can to be honest to will continue to try and manage with citric fruit and cold drinks. Sickness bands don’t really help.

BabyKing20 · 02/07/2023 20:01

I had a similar experience with my private scan on Friday. From LMP I am 8+5 but she was only able to see a sac and yolk but nothing else no heartbeat etc and dated me at 5+5. So it’s quite a difference in dates and looks like I’m in pregnancy purgatory too until the next scan on the 20th which seems like a lifetime away! Trying not to overthink but is also a mind boggler..
Very grateful to have this group to see all of your different experiences as I am not sharing my news with anyone else at the moment. Hope everyone had a nice weekend 💕

GeriatricMumma · 02/07/2023 20:04

@BabyKing20 so sorry this has happened to you too. Is there any possibility your dates could be wrong?

My sac measures where I should be (6-7 weeks) but nothing inside. My next scan is on the 11th and I'm not feeling positive.

I've had cramps today but no bleeding. Have really sore boobs and a massive lump in my armpit. Doc said the symptoms will continue :(

BabyKing20 · 02/07/2023 20:52

@GeriatricMumma Awh thanks a mill and same to you. It’s really quite tough isn’t it. I’ve never felt time go so slowly 😅
My dates could definitely be off, I do have PCOS which is a minefield in itself but yeah trying to just put it down to that and to remain as positive as I can.

Hoping the next week flies for you for your scan and maybe it will turn out okay 🤞🏼please god your cramps and pains are just early pregnancy symptoms!

Mummapenguin20 · 02/07/2023 21:25

Think I’m out 😔 5+5 and spotting when I wipe gunna call my epu in morning but this is how all my miscarriages have started 😔 good luck ladies xx

Tilly18101 · 03/07/2023 10:33

@BabyKing20 so sorry lovely, really hope you get good news on the 20th and it’s just dates being all over the place.

@Mummapenguin20 so sorry, sending lots of love to you.

Tilly18101 · 03/07/2023 10:38

How’s everyone doing today? I’m now 9+2 weeks by my dates but 10+4 by NHS - wish they’d update their system to take account for long cycles. Looking forward to my dating scan next week to get an accurate due date and feel a bit more secure, then I have the dreaded task of telling work & I’m not looking forward to that’s

I’ve had two really bad nights sleep now, awake for 2-3 hrs in the middle of the night for no reason - can’t sleep at all. So frustrating, so I’m absolutely shattered and hoping to get a good night tonight if I can. How’s everyone else doing?

I have such a busy week work wise, so counting down the hours until bedtime tonight. X
