Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

Morning @RachaeI'm feeling dreadful. The only thing that seems to have gone down a bit is my sore boobs but the sickness and nausea are making it hard to get anything done. It looks as though the weather won't be as hot this week which will hopefully help x

Meeting · 26/06/2023 10:03

I meant to say nausea and exhaustion

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 26/06/2023 10:12

@Axc123 I'm so sorry this has happened.l, and I'm glad you've a scan tomorrow. You never know, it could be a haematoma or something else that has caused the bleeding. Good luck for it, and if you feel up to it, please let us know how you get on

Tilly18101 · 26/06/2023 11:19

@Ebonythoughts & @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it’s horrible isn’t it. Definitely think the heat doesn’t help, and racing round after a toddler it’s non stop isnt it. After bedtime I am so exhausted I just flop on the couch, I’ve nothing left. My DH has been great sorting dinner and the last of the tidying every night at least so I don’t have to move.

@Axc123 sending love, let us know how the scan goes 💓

Ebonythoughts · 26/06/2023 11:35

@Axc123 i had the same on Friday and thought it was because of Sex but when I saw more blood on Saturday I called the clinic where I booked in for a scan for the following week and they moved my scan forward. It was so reassuring to see the baby and heartbeat and they said the bleed was coming from a small tear in my cervix that would heal itself. They said not to worry about the bleeding unless it fills a pad and unless you have bad cramping with it. Small amounts of blood can be for a number of reasons. Hopefully yours will be nothing to worry about too but I’m sure the scan will give some reassurance.

Ebonythoughts · 26/06/2023 11:36

@Tilly18101 absolutely. We’re in the middle of a house move and I have absolutely no energy to pack or prepare so my sisters are coming down to help. I’m trying not to stress too much but you almost wish the world could stop for a while so you can actually catch your breath lol.

Danni33 · 26/06/2023 12:35

So. I had my early scan yesterday but I think I’m a little bit too early to see the heartbeat with a normal ultrasound, but I could see the sac which was hopeful. If I had a internal scan she told me I would have been able to see more. I’m re booked in for Sunday again to have another scan. Feel more re assured though as she told me that she sees this all the time.
im now experiencing more cramping though which comes and goes. Is this normal? I’m either 5/6 weeks. There is no bleeding just cramps.
my boobs are tender though also, and my nipples are sensitive and can be itchy. They are also getting firmer if that makes sense?
so sorry I’m rubbish at making things make sense 😂

GeriatricMumma · 26/06/2023 12:39

@Danni33 was this a private scan?

Yes usually you have to have an internal scan early. It's quite normal to have to go back so try not to worry x

Danni33 · 26/06/2023 12:52

Yeh, it was a private scan. I booked it because I feel like I can’t stop worrying. It’s my first and everything I’m experiencing I’m thinking is a problem. Google is the worst too. I know the cramps are fine.
Thanks too!

moosey89 · 26/06/2023 12:56

@Danni33 at that stage they should definitely have done an internal scan - did they offer it to you? At the clinics I've been to they will do internal until around 8-10 weeks as it's more accurate.

Danni33 · 26/06/2023 13:19

Oh it was done privately, I chose to go there she can sometimes get a heartbeat.
I’ve got an appointment with my midwife in 2 weeks time, I’m just impatient

Rachae · 26/06/2023 13:24

@Meeting sorry to hear about the sickness, ginger is your friend apparently!

@Axc123 hope you're ok and the scan sheds some light xx

@Danni33 can't believe they didn't offer an internal so early? You don't see anything before 8 weeks other than maybe the sac on the tummy scan, so it's always internal. I'd ask for my money back! (I've had 36 scans and all before 10 weeks were internal)
Xx

Nemo145 · 26/06/2023 15:40

Hi ladies, just been for another early scan, which was promising and we saw the heartbeat. I am nervously positive about this one but one of my miscarriages was at 8.5 weeks after seeing heartbeat so I’m well aware it could still go wrong.
my worry is I’m measuring 6weeks and 5 days but based on my ovulation I should be 7 weeks 2 days, 7 weeks 1 day at the very least. Anyone any experience of measuring 4 days behind?

Yes with my last son, then oddly caught up at the next one!

Shiningstar0224 · 26/06/2023 17:01

I'm the same. Nausea has really stepped up over the last 2-3days and doesn't really subside until the evening. I have absolutely no appetite for anything even just opening the fridge makes me feel sick but when I do force myself to eat I feel better for a short while until it comes back again. I'm not even at 6wks yet so I'm anxious about how I'm going to get through the next few months 😬

Meeting · 26/06/2023 17:05

@Shiningstar0224 I'm feeling exactly the same, the thought of cooking dinner later is making me feel sick as there's nothing that seems appetising. Hoping this doesn't last the whole pregnancy

DmcinT · 26/06/2023 17:18

@Shiningstar0224 @Meeting I’m finding the exact same but when I eat I feel a lot better, I’m kinda just constantly eating small things all day now and it’s deff helping

I’m having 2-3 hr naps everyday, anyone else similar? I feel so lazy 😅 we are on holiday and DH is all eager to go explore but I’m like a sloth 😂

Rachae · 26/06/2023 19:20

@Nemo145 no experience with it prior but I'm with you on measuring behind.. mine is a week behind. I think I ovulated late tho as I never got a smiley and stopped testing after day 16. The Dr at the clinic said it was common to measure behind and doesn't always mean pending MC. (What I wondered about) my next scan is Weds so we'll see what happens! Xc

Shiningstar0224 · 26/06/2023 20:11

@DmcinT @Meeting glad I’m not alone, it’s really not fun. I dread breakfast in the morning and it used to be my favourite meal of the day. I might try eating little and often like you said, I also find getting some fresh air helpful. I’ve been having naps on some days maybe 2x week. Weirdly the fatigue was worse last week but this week I seem to be less fatigued but more nausea.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 27/06/2023 06:15

Is it nausea or is it caused by digestive issues like wind, or acid? I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to make it better. If anyone has any tips, please let me know. I'm finding it very tough to go about my day. I've booked a random day holiday each week so that's only two days a week commuting now and two from home, but still I'm struggling

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 27/06/2023 06:16

@DmcinT you're on holiday, you deserve to be a sloth! Hope you're having a great time

Meeting · 27/06/2023 08:13

I'm also finding eating small things all day better. I can't stomach an actual meal. I probably nap for an hour each day but I feel exhausted and groggy pretty much all day.

DmcinT · 27/06/2023 09:07

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 true, only we’re in a city for 3 days now and there’s so much to do here😅 legs are walked off me from yesterday & just getting ready to go again today.. I need to man up and find some energy lol

weirdly I’ve a way heightened desire to DTD😂 so DH isn’t complaining abt all the sleeping the rest of the time 😂 (anyone else finding this?)

@Meeting yeah I wouldn’t mind napping and then feeling awake but I’m kinda like a zombie all the time.

goodluck to all getting scans in the next few days, I can’t wait to hear how they all go, I’m counting down to mine in 2 weeks ⏰

I had nhs scan at 6 weeks and they did external and did see heartbeat. I was so sure they always do internal so was shocked

vvit · 27/06/2023 10:57

How often doing scans are too often? Would every 2 weeks be ok?

I think as I worry so much specially for the first weeks, but just know nhs doesn't recommend doing loads of scans if there is no medical reason.. I guess mental health is medical reason
