Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

I would be exactly the same with naproxen and co codamol.
Ive now got thrush and a uti, I’m even nervous about starting taking the antibiotics for the uti.

@LalalaBubs if the doctor and the pharmacist are both seeming okay on cocodamol, that'd give me confidence if it were me. Not easy to soldier on without when you have toddlers, as they definitely need chasing and wrangling!

@Soph2512 I had some spotting with my son, maybe around 4-5 weeks and 7 ish weeks.

LalalaBubs · 23/06/2023 22:40

@Danni33 that sounds awful, UTIs are just the worst. I am quite prone to them and literally cant function until the antibiotics kick in😔
I hope it all clears up for you soon!

Thank you @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 🙂 I think I have enough confidence in them to stick with the cocodamol too. I appreciate it!

Danni33 · 23/06/2023 22:42

Thank you!!
Thankfully I managed to get a telephone consultation today and then was able to pick up my prescription so I was able to start treatment.
I just know that it will end up being a recurring thing now too especially the thrush.

LalalaBubs · 23/06/2023 22:43

@Soph2512 i had some very light spotting around 4 weeks it only lasted a day. I went for a private scan at 6+2 and the sonographer was able to see a tiny bit more blood during my internal scan which she said I may or may not pass but not to be concerned about it so that reassured me.

I hope it doesnt become anything more than some light bleeding or it has already stopped and you can get some reassurance soon x

Mummapenguin20 · 23/06/2023 22:51

I have a fair bit of belly cramping tonight. Only slightly worried as I’m mega bloated I know cramping can be normal but after losses this is making me anxious

Ebonythoughts · 23/06/2023 23:50

Hi all, has anyone had bleeding after sex and is this something to worry about? I’m 7+ 3 weeks and my husband and I have had sex several times since finding out but tonight was the first time I saw a little bit of light blood after and it’s made me really scared. My private scan isn’t booked till next week but now I really wish it was tomorrow so I could be sure everything is ok.

Hello,
@mashm24 Can I join please? I tested positive yesterday after TTC #1 for over 1.5 years. My due date should be 28/01, but I’ve heard first babies tend to be overcooked.
No symptoms of pregnancy so far which is pretty scary. I literally don’t know what to expect.

We are the exact same!

teated positive tonight, late period and coffee was making me queasy yesterday!

I’m in absolute disbelief that this is happening. Over the moon!

Soph2512 · 24/06/2023 05:16

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @LalalaBubs its got a bit heavier this morning with cramps. So I’m assuming the worse. I don’t know if I should call the doctors today or wait for mondY

Give your EPU a ring xx

Soph2512 · 24/06/2023 05:59

@GeriatricMumma I have spoken to 111 and they want me to go to a and e

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/06/2023 06:18

@Soph2512 did they say why a&e? Last thing I'd have wanted to do is sit in a&e. Unless obviously you have a lot of pain or think it's ectopic. Otherwise surely you need to see what's happening, either with EPU or a private scan today or on Monday

Soph2512 · 24/06/2023 06:19

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 they can’t refer you to EPAU on the weekend. I think I’m just going to contact GP on Monday as I called up a and e and there is a 7-8 hour wait to be initially seen 😳😳 I don’t think I can get a private scan until 6 weeks? I’m only 5 weeks xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/06/2023 06:24

@Soph2512 a&e is hell, that would be an awful wait. Yes five weeks is probably a little too early for a private scan or an EPU scan, and there isn't much they can do either way. The waiting is awful, but it will either be alright or it won't be. I've been there before, it's horrible. Hopefully the bleeding stops soon and all is okay xx

mandolinemom · 24/06/2023 07:29

I should be 6 weeks today and yesterday I had the worst sciatica down my right leg and this morning when I wiped, had brownish mucousy discharge. First time and I dont really want to lose it…any reassurance or things I need to look out for or do? Ta!

Guineapigfosterer · 24/06/2023 08:42

@mandolinemom Ive had brown spotting and was reassured my people on here. Other mums and 111 thats its normal in early pregnancy. And to only worry if the amount increases, pain increases or it turns red. So try not to worry.

mandolinemom · 24/06/2023 08:59

Thanks for responding, lovely…Trying not to worry and just take it slow and one day at a time. I have a dull low back ache that has shifted to the left after being on the right yesterday and the spotting seems to have abated…only got really mild brown pink when wiping the next time over.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/06/2023 09:04

Watch out for severe cramping, shoulder tip pain, and spotting progressing into proper bleeding. I've had some light brown spotting also. I had similar with my son. Apparently up to a third of women get spotting in successful pregnancies. I'm still terrified anytime I see it

Whippetmother · 24/06/2023 09:14

@Ebonythoughts I had this - was super light and went straight away. Apparently it’s due to changes with your cervix… as long as it doesn’t worsen or stick around for too long with cramps etc, I think you’re fine x

Axc123 · 24/06/2023 11:16

@mandolinemom just to offer you some reassurance… I woke up a few days ago and I had a pinky brown discharge, I just had that sinking feeling and my whole attitude changed and I just thought the worse. I then decided to speak with a midwife online, I sent her images of the exact colour. She said it’s so normal. The brown is old blood perhaps from implantation bleeding or some left in that area. The pinkness is fresher but being pink means it’s not a significant amount. She also said the old blood mixing with the normal discharge can give that appearance of pinky brown.

I also had cramping alongside the discharge and she said that’s perfectly normal aswell. I told her it was no worse than period pain and I haven’t had to take pain relief.

I hope that helps relieve you. Also, for me it lasted 1 day and now it’s back to white/clear xxxx

mandolinemom · 24/06/2023 11:20

Thank you so much… I feel the same about the attitude change. Saw it and heart sank and the whole mood shifted. Now havent had any further coloured discharge for the next 4 hours but just taking care of the achey back with a hwb. Strangely the mad soreness in my breasts have gone and been replaced by a strange consciousness of them when I move in my sleep and today been a bit more nauseous than usual…probably cos I just dont feel like eating. Keeping fingers crossed and sending sticky baby dust around x

Hi ladies 👋 I've been lurking for a bit just a bit nervous to talk about being pregnant incase it jinxes it 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have 1 DD 2.5 but before her we had 2 MC so very anxious, I'm sure a lot of you can relate! I'm 5 weeks but ovulated late so only 16DPO. Can I ask when any of you got dye stealers? My FRER tests from the last 3 days have all looked the same and was expecting it to look darker by now. They are strong lines but exactly the same colour as the control line. I know I should step away from the tests 😅 but I can't 😂

I'm my own worst enemy, I had a 2-3 then a 3+ on digital, stupidly did another one which was 2-3 today and now trying not to freak out 🙄

Shiningstar0224 · 24/06/2023 12:47

Hello fellow Mums to be. I'm new to Mumsnet and recently got a BFP. I'm at 5+3 so far main symptoms have been growing and tender breasts however starting to feel tiredness really set in over these past few days as well as some very mild nausea in the mornings. Feeling excited but nervous about journey ahead as this is my first pregnancy. Would be lovely to connect with others in a similar boat x

Silverpixieflorence · 24/06/2023 12:48

@GeriatricMumma it's hard in the early days not to use them as reassurance isn't it! Especially when it's too early for a scan! It might be due to how diluted FMU is. I know with my DD I didn't get a 3+ for agesss
